Appendix A

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR VACATION STAY

1. The official check-out date for Semester 1 AY19/20 is 8 December 2019. Residents who are not
applying for vacation stay will need to check out by 8 December 2019, 12 noon.

2. Residents returning before the official check-in date, 12 January 2020 are required to apply for
vacation stay during the application period.

3. Residents (not applicable to non-graduating students) without a confirmed hostel reservation for
Semester 2 AY19/20 may only apply for partial vacation stay up to 26 December 2019 or by your
course end date whichever is earlier (subject to a valid Student Pass and availability).

4. Residents who missed the online application period may approach the respective Management
Office from 20 November 2019 onwards (subject to availability).

5. There will be administrative charges by the Hostel Management Office for late applications,
amendments or cancellations received after the application period. You may refer to appendix D
for the relevant administrative charges.

6. Residents may need to move to a different room or room type during the vacation period. Affected
residents will be notified by the Hostel Management Office in due time.

7. Residents staying for the vacation period and have a reservation in a different hostel for the next
semester, will need to make arrangements with the new Hostel Management Office to move in
by 26 December 2019.
8. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

9. Please note that by making payment for your application, you are deemed to have accepted the
terms and conditions of the Housing Agreement, application exercise and the
accommodation’s Rules and Regulations.
Appendix B

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR IN-ROOM STORAGE


1. Only residents with a confirmed Semester 2 stay and NOT staying during the vacation are eligible
for In-Room Storage during December vacation.

2. Successful applicants will be allowed to leave your personal belongings in your current room.
The rate applicable is 30% of the prevailing room rate. Post check-out cleaning would not be
carried out for rooms with In-Room Storage.

3. The In-Room Storage period is strictly for 5 consecutive weeks from 8 December 2019 till 12
January 2020, for applicants who only applied for in-room storage. Successful applicants would
need to make full payment at respective Management Office by 19 November (5pm), 2019.
Residents who fail to make payment within the timeline will have their booking cancelled. Please
note that there will be no refund once payment is made.

4. Applicants who choose to apply for Vacation Stay on top of the 5 weeks In-Room Storage, will
be charged on,
• 5 weeks In-Room Storage and
• top up the difference of the Vacation Stay (70% of the prevailing room rate).

Scenario 1: Applicant applied for In-Room Storage and request to apply for a 1-week vacation stay

Scenario 2: Applicant applied for In-Room Storage and request to apply for a 1-week vacation stay

5. Successful applicants shall perform the normal check-out / check-in procedure (refer to Housing
Handbook here), which includes returning all the relevant accommodation access cards / keys to
the Management Office by the official check-out date of 8 December 2019, 12 noon.

6. Sharing of In-Room Storage space is not allowed. Successful applicants are not allowed to
transfer or assign the booking to another person.

7. Personal belonging should be neatly placed in the room and shall not contain any perishable
items, items that are flammable, illegal weapons, drugs or any other illegal items as governed by
the Law of the Republic of Singapore.
8. Entry to room may be made by the Management Office at any time, without prior notice to the
residents nor in the presence of the residents.

9. Management Office reserves the rights to reassign the room due to unforeseen circumstances.

10. Successful applicants shall be responsible for their personal belongings in the room. Office of
Housing Services would not be responsible for any loss, damage, liabilities and claim that may
be caused as a result of this storage.

11. Students who made payment for the In-Room Storage and wish to stay for some days in the
vacation may approach the Management Office to apply and pay the full rate of vacation stay
separately. There is no refund of In-Room Storage fee paid.

12. Please note that by making payment for your application, you are deemed to have accepted the
terms and conditions of the Housing Agreement, application exercise and the
accommodation’s Rules and Regulations.
Appendix C

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR LUGGAGE STORAGE (TRUNK ROOM SERVICES)

1. Only international residents staying in PGPR, UTown and King Edward VII Hall who have a
confirmed Semester 2 stay and NOT staying during the vacation are eligible for luggage
storage space. Application period is from 20 November to 27 November 2019.

2. Successful applicants would be allocated a 90cm (L) x 60cm (W) x 80cm (H) lot to store
luggage. Loose items would not be accepted. A rate of $21.40 is payable for each lot for
Vacation 1.

3. We seek your understanding that we would not be able to accept storage exceeding the lot
dimensions.

4. Luggage can only be stored and collected during these hours:

a. Mondays to Fridays 9.00am to 5.00pm (excluding Public Holidays).

5. Successful applicants would need to pay $21.40 upon registration. Residents who fail to make
payment would have their lots forfeited and re-offered to other residents.

6. Luggage can only be stored after full payment of storage fee is received by the Management
Office.

7. Successful applicants are not allowed to transfer or assign the lot to another person.

8. Luggage not collected after the stipulated end date of the storage period, would be charged a
late collection fee of $5 per day, starting from the day after the stipulated end date. The luggage
storage period is from 2 December 2019 to 17 January 2020.

9. Luggage should be neatly packed and shall not contain any perishable items, items that are
flammable, illegal weapons, drugs or any other illegal items as governed by the Law of the
Republic of Singapore.

10. Lot allocation is subject to availability.

11. Office of Housing Services reserves the right not to process any application.

12. Each applicant is strictly allowed to apply for one lot only.

13. Please note that by making payment for your application, you are deemed to have accepted

accommodation’s Rules and Regulations.
