Question 1:
Answer 1: We knew that Life is Good company is a mature company, with customers wide-
spread, I think the issues that they have to deal with the most is: how to maintain their
sustainability. Now that they already have customers, it is important to keep their trust by
providing goods with high quality and of course, remain consistent about that. Customers will
also demand innovation, so it is important too to encourage their employees to be aware of an act
on opportunities for innovation. But mostly, the first thing first they must do to sustain the
company is by integrating economic, environmental, and social opportunities into its business
strategies.
And which management functions might be the most important to them? Well, as the
top-level managers the most important management functions they needed is to define their goals
first, establishing strategies to achieve goals, and developing plans to integrate and coordinate
activities. But as the company well-growth start to emerge, which means the company already
set its goals, now to reach that goals the management functions they needed is to keep the
company stick to the plan.

Question 2:
Answer 2: Bert and Jhon’s managerial style is guided by mottoes “do what you love, love what
you do,” this case also state that they’re looking for people who possess the same optimistic
outlook on life. In other words, their managerial style is to manage people who are brave enough
to take action, and simply believe in the good side of life.
Would this approach work other organizations? Yes.

Question 3:
Answer 3: The motto will definitely affect how managers manage by using their human skills.
The motto can be used to motivate (interpersonal roles) their employees. The spirit which is
within the motto can work as a catalyst to encourage them to rise.
Question 4:
Answer 4: The challenges that may occurs is that when personal-relationship intrude. So, to
keep this challenge inconsequential, it is a must to set a certain rule and remain professional, by
not interfuse between private life and business.

Answer 5: Yes! Because their philosophy suits me. Their business environmental is relatively
stable and friendly too. From their managerial style we can see that they’re allowing their
employee to participate in the company.

Answer 6: The challenges that may appear:
Customer side: to keep their trust towards the company.
How: by serving high-quality products with consistency.
Innovation side: to encourage their employees.
How: by maintain good relationship between the managers and the employee itself, proper salary
based on their performance, and so on to keep their loyalty towards company. When there is
motivation, there is also ideas.
Sustainability: to keep the company well-being remain stable in a long-term.
How: by integrating economic, environmental, and social opportunities to its business strategies,
giving extra offer and various innovation.
