How the Joker did not steal Christmas.

Scene 1

NARRATOR 1: Once upon a time in a parallel universe, there was Super Heroes’ city. A place where all
super heroes rest, after the much work they do helping people and saving lives.

(One by one the superheroes enter the scene with a pose) (Later on they introduce themselves)

CAPTAIN AMERICA: Captain America is not here to lead the city. I'm here to serve it. If I'm a captain,
then I'm a soldier. But as of today, I am not a "super hero." Now and forevermore, I am a man of the
people.

CAPTAIN MARVEL: It may seem impossible, our enemies may appear to be endless, but that doesn't
matter. Because there is no one else and you can change the world.

WONDER WOMAN: I am super strong, super quick and super agile. I can also talk to animals. I have an
invisible jet and a lasso of truth, so people and criminals cannot lie to me. I just have to spin and voila:
I´m ready to start my day!

BATGIRL: “I'm not Barbara Gordon. I have to keep remembering that. Tonight, I'm not Barbara.
Tonight, I'm not the Police Commissioner's daughter. I’m the one who finds confidential information.
Tonight? Tonight, I'm Batgirl.”

BATMAN: Sometimes I wonder if I am really a superhero. I help people and fight crime in the city, but
I do not have any magic or super powers. I am a technology worker; technology helps me the most in
my job. Some people say I am not a real superhero, I think I am.

CATCHICK: I am tired of my catlike mutant powers. You know how annoying it is to be like a cat? Look.
I want to be able to go the beach without wanting to go to use the bathroom. I want to go swimming
again. I am tired of all those naps and hairballs in my throat! It’s hard to be a superhero.

SCARLETWITCH: I got my powers in an experiment, maybe I am not a real superhero. But decided to
reject the evil side and join the good team once more.
BLACK WIDOW: It's not the length of life that matters--just the depth of it. The chances we take.
The paths we choose. How we go on after our heart

DR. STRANGE: A simple spell, but quite unbreakable. I will heal your body and with that your soul. You
should not be afraid of death. Pain is an old friend.

NARRATOR 2: Everybody was happy, Christmas was coming so quickly. They all were wondering about
how they were going to organize their Christmas celebration.

NARRATOR 3: They got together in the super heroes house, and decided to play the secret Santa. A
game where every person grabs a paper with a name and then gives a Christmas present to whoever
they got.

(All super heroes sitting on a round table, talking miming)

(All super heroes grab a paper, shush and go)

Scene 2

NARRATOR 4: Everybody went happily around the city, finding the best possible present for their
Secret Santa.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: I got Superman; I know what I will get him! I’ll get him an agenda, to keep track of
his duties at the office and his times to go and save the city.

WONDER WOMAN: I got Cat chick, I will get her a blanket, for her to sleep cozy nights.

BATGIRL: I got hulk! I will get him a set of new shirts!

SCARLET WITCH: I got Batman; a new pen with a communicator incorporated will definitely help him.

CATCHICK: I will get Captain America a giant US flag. He will love it!

DR. STRANGE: I’ll get Spiderman a new camera to get better pictures for his job at the Daily Bugle.

NARRATOR 2: …and so one by one found a present for their Secret Santa, they all were thinking of the
great night they were going to have.

(Superheroes keep on walking with their present boxes and exit the scene happily after placing the
presents under the tree)

NARRATOR 3: However, in a cave close to the city, the city villains were all complaining about why
they had not been invited to the great Christmas party.

JOKER: I cannot believe it, I cannot believe it! This is not the first time they plan a big party and do not
invite us.

MALEFICENT: Look at them, all going around the city looking for presents. Who is going to give a
present to us? So what do we do Joker?

JOKER: Do I really look like a guy with a plan? I don’t have a plan …
You know what I am? I am a dog chasing cars…
I don’t know what to do with one if I catch it. I just do things. I like to play.
GREEN GOBLIN: I just got a great idea, why don’t we go to their house while they sleep and steal their
precious presents hahahahaha.

POISON IVY: That’s it, we will ruin their Christmas. Just what I have in mind. I’ll put a potion in their
food and they will sleep placidly without even noticing. A chance for Mother Nature to act again. My
mutant plants have the strength of the deadliest animals. Once you have frozen them we will be the
only people left to celebrate Christmas.

JOKER: For now let’s all go and make of this city our home. Ahahahah

MALEFICENT: My dear beautiful city, prepare not to have Christmas this year.

(They go around the city laughing, walking in circles, screams of people and children are heard)

People from the city: Oh no! Everything is lost!!

NARRATOR 2: But when everybody thought everything was lost. A big squadron of superheroes
showed up to the scene

(SUPERGIRL, SUPERMAN, BATMAN, IRONMAN, SPIDERMAN, CAPTAIN MARVEL (w), HULK)

SUPERGIRL: Have no fear citizens! We are here to help you! There is evil in this city. Your attacker
wants to take your spirit. But in each and every one of you, there is a light , a spirit, that cannot be
turned off.

SUPERMAN: Whenever you’re in danger we will protect you. Someone told me that the strong have
to stand up for the weak and that bullies don't like being bullied back.

BATMAN: It had to be you Joker, can you not see other people be happy?

BLACK WIDOW: It’s again you Joker and company. Do you not have your own Christmas plans?

GREEN GOBLIN: You left us out once again! We know you will have a Christmas celebration without
us!

(GREEN GOBLIN STARTS CRYING)

SPIDERMAN: We did not know you wanted to come!

MALIFICENT: You as selfish as usual, you think you’re so important!

SUPERGIRL: Let’s stop them!

CAPTAIN MARVEL: It’s time to defend the honor of our people.

IRONMAN: It’s our time to defeat evil once more.

BLACK WIDOW: Do not let them ruin Christmas for everyone in the city!

(Slow motion battle happens… villains go running from scene in slow motion, super heroes go after
them chasing them and exit the scene)

Scene 4

NARRATOR 4: Wonder woman was cooking Christmas dinner happily for everyone. She did not expect
what was about to happen.

(WONDER WOMAN is in the kitchen singing a song while she cooks dinner, the sound of the door ring
bell is heard, and she goes to check who it is. In the meantime, Poison Ivy gets into the house through
the window and puts drops of sleeping potion into the superheroes dinner. She escapes through the
window again and WONDER WOMAN comes back to serve dinner)

WONDER WOMAN: Dinner is ready everybody!!

(The superheroes come to the scene, have a seat and start eating; one by one they all start falling
asleep. The villains get in and start getting the Christmas presents from under the tree. As they
intend to scape, BATGIRL who gets into the scene wearing a towel on his head starts screaming for
help)

BATGIRL: Help, help, help!!

(From far apart the other superheroes arrive and join the scene)

CATCHICK: Don’t you take those Christmas presents! How can you try to ruin Christmas if it is a
cheerful time for everyone!

BATGIRL: Give them back to us!

BATGIRL: What have you done to them? (looking at the other sleeping superheroes)

POISON IVY: Do not worry, they will be fine, they are just sleeping. I just added a mix of herbs to their
dinner to make them sleep like babies.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: Don’t you dare to ruin Christmas for all of us.

JOKER: OH NO! You got us!! We only wanted to come to your Christmas party.

MALEFICENT: We will feel so lonely in Christmas time on our own in our cave, while everybody else is
opening presents and sharing with friends and family.

GREEN GOBLIN: I never get presents for Christmas. (He starts crying)

SCARLET WITCH: Aww we never knew how you felt before. It must be really sad to be all alone by
yourselves in a faraway cave in Christmas.

MALIFICENT: Well this is not the first time they do not invite me, once upon a time some Royalty left
me out too, and guess what? They all, the whole kingdom slept like sleeping beauties for hundreds of
years.

DR. STRANGE: Aww maybe all of this is just a misunderstanding. We should not leave you out of our
plans.

CATCHICK: Maybe we just misunderstand you every time; maybe you do what you do because you
want our attention. And some love and friendship during Christmas.

BATGIRL: You should tell us how you feel, we will understand.

NARRATOR 4: As the superheroes went and hug the villains, the sleeping superheroes started waking
up.

SUPERGIRL: What’s going on here?

BLACK WIDOW: I feel like I slept forever (Yawning), why are the villains in our house? Can someone
explain? Why are you taking our Christmas presents?

CAPTAIN MARVEL: Why are you hugging the villains? Is there anything we don’t know?

SCARLET WITCH: Yes, we have been fighting the villains forever and never asked them why they are
on the evil side.

IRONMAN: That’s right! That explains why you want to steal our presents.

BATMAN: I should be more considerate to the Joker.

SPIDERMAN: I propose we all get those presents to the people in need in the city. Who needs
Christmas presents anyway? The city does not need super heroes with superpowers, it needs real
super heroes who are able to help and care for others.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: There's a difference between fighting against evil and fighting for the common
good.

IRONMAN: The epic forces of dark and light are now into play. I know everything is going to be fine. I
know everyone is united to defeat the forces of evil. Everything will be alright!

SUPERMAN: "Someone told me that a good heart is worth more than all the money in the bank. The
measure of a man lies not in what he says but what he does.

NARRATOR 1: And that’s how the superheroes crew grew once more. They all had fun and shared
Christmas together, but the best part is…

NARRATOR 3: Christmas was full of kindness and thoughts about others. Life should be giving and not
receiving!
