On01/01/2018atapproximately2028hours,Ofc.Cox *341andI,Ofc.Smith *431,were

dispatchedto254ParkwoodRd.inreferencetoacheckonthewelfare,whichwaslater
reclassifiedasachildabuse.Dispatchadvisedananonymouscaller,callingfromablocked
number,saidafemalenamedHollywasatthisaddressandhadinjuriestoherfaceandneck.
Uponarrival,Ispokewiththeallegedinjuredperson,HollySathern,whosaidshewas
uninjured.IsawHolly'sfaceandobservedthatshehadnoinjuries.Hollyadvisedherex-
boyfriend,ThomasRyan (alsofatherofHolly'schild)hascalledthepoliceforunfoundedwell-
beingchecksonHollyinthepastinanefforttoharassher.Hollysuspectedtonightwas
anotherinstanceofThomasmakingafalsereport.

DuringmyconversationwithHolly,shetoldmeher3yearoldson,HankStyczykowski,had
returnedhomemultipletimesfromvisitswithhisfather,ThomasRyan,withinjuries.Holly's
father,RobertSathern (Hanksgrandfather)hasfulllegalcustodyofHank;Hankliveswith
Robertandhiswife,SharonSathern,at254ParkwoodRd.HollyandThomasbothhave
court-orderedvisitationrightstoseeHank.ThomashasrightstohaveHankeveryweekend,
whileHollyhasrightstoseeHankSaturdaymorningsuntil1300hours.However, recently,
HollyhasgainedtherighttoseeHankatRobert'shouseanytimeshewantsaslonghasshe
givespriornoticetoDCFS.Typicalweekendarrangementsworkasfollows:Saturday
mornings,RoberttakesHanktoHolly'shouse.Thenat1300hours,RobertpicksupHank
fromHolly'shouseandtakesHankbackhometo254ParkwoodRd.Alittleafter1300hours,
aworkerfromDCFSpicksHankupandtakeshimtoThomas.ThomasthenhasHankthrough
Mondaymorning.OnMondaymorning,ThomastakesHanktopre-school.Afterpre-school,
HankistakenviaschoolbusbacktoRobert'shouse.

HollysaidDCFSisinvolvedwiththecustodyarrangementsofHankduetopastdomestic
violencebetweenherandThomas.

HollyisunsurewhatthelivingarrangementsatThomas'houseanddidnotknowifany
otheradultsorchildrenlivedthere.HollysaidThomashasagirlfriendnamedAmee
Vanmersbergen,but,again,doesnotknowifsheliveswithThomas.
Hollysaidthatonmultiplerecentoccasions, Hankhasreturnedhomefromhisweekend
withThomaswithphysicalinjuries.HollysaidonNovember20th,Hankreturnedhomewith
scratchmarksonhisleftandrightbuttocks.OnNovember27,HankhadwhatHollydescribed
asasmallseizure.HollytookHanktothehospital,andHanktoldHollyhehithisheadat
Thomas'house.OnDecember25,Hankreturnedhomewithalargerashonhisinnerthighs
andbruisesonhisthighsandknees.Additionally,HollysaidHankhasdisplayedsome
strangebehaviorafterreturningfromThomas'house:Hankisnowscaredtotakeshowers
andhasregressedonhispottytraining.
