Configuring E1 Capability
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context S400: S400 can be configured with 2 × E1, 4 × E1, 8 × E1 or 16 ×
E1.
S500: S500 can be configured with 2 × E1, 4 × E1, 8 × E1 or 16 ×
E1. If S500 with E1TU, it can be configured with 32 × E1.
Steps 1. Click Configuration > System > System in the left menu
bar, as shown in Figure 17.
Configuring Modulation
Mode
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context The system modulation mode is related to the maximum service
capacity and the system bandwidth.
14 MHz 8 E1 20 Mbps
28 MHz 16 E1 40 Mbps
14 MHz 16 E1 40 Mbps
Steps 1. Click Configuration > System > System in the left menu
bar, as shown in Figure 19.
Configuring System
Bandwidth
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context The system bandwidth is related to the maximum service capacity
and the system modulation mode. For details, refer to Configuring
Modulation Mode.
Steps 1. Click Configuration > System > System in the left menu
bar, as shown in Figure 21.
2. Select the bandwidth from the Band Width drop-down list box
on the right part of the configuration interface, as shown in
Figure 22.
13 GHz 266
26 GHz 1008
38 GHz 1260
Steps 1. Click Configuration > ODU > Frequency in the left menu
bar, as shown in Figure 23.
END OF STEPS
Configuring Transmitting
Power of ODU
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Steps 1. Click Configuration > ODU > TPC in the left menu bar, as
shown in Figure 29.
2. Select Manual from the TPC Mode drop-down list box on the
right part of the configuration interface.
3. Select transmitting power of ODU from the drop-down list box
of Tx Power (dBm) on the right part of the configuration in-
terface, as shown in Figure 30.
Note:
For S400, if you want to modify Tx Power, Tx Status must be
Unmute.
For S500 without 1+1 protection, if you want to modify Tx
Power, Tx Status must be Unmute.
For S500 with 1+1 protection, if you want to modify Tx Power
of one ODU, you should change Tx Power of both ODU same
time.

Configuring Q Interface
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context Each IDU has two IP addresses in the same network segment, cor-
responding to Q interface (i.e. network interface) and R interface
(i.e. radio interface) respectively.
Steps 1. Click Configuration > TCP/IP Config > Q Interface in the
left menu bar, as shown in Figure 31.
Configuring R Interface
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context Each IDU has two IP addresses in the same network segment, cor-
responding to Q interface (i.e. network interface) and R interface
(i.e. radio interface) respectively.
Steps 1. Click Configuration > TCP/IP Config > Radio Interface in
the left menu bar, as shown in Figure 33.
2. Tick the Enabled check box in the OSPF area on the right part
of the configuration interface.
3. Click the Apply button to complete the configuration of dy-
namic routing.
END OF STEPS
Setting NE Time
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context To set the correct time and time zone for an NE, perform the fol-
lowing steps.
Steps 1. Click Configuration > System > Time Management in the
left menu bar, as shown in Figure 42.
4. When the priority scheme is 802.1p, user can set the 802.1p-
based priority, as shown in Figure 48.
5. When the priority scheme is DSCP, user can set the DSCP pri-
ority, as shown in Figure 49.
END OF STEPS
Note:
To implement handover between different switch level, IDU must
be rebooted. For both Mode 2(L3) and Mode 1(L2), the IP ad-
dress of the PC where user performs management operations and
IP address of the directly connected IDU must be in the same net-
work segment. For Mode 2(L3), the two IDUs of the two one-hop
equipments must be in different network segments respectively.
Steps 1. In the left menu, click Configuration > Switch Level >
Switch Level to select the switch level, and click Apply, as
shown in Figure 50.
2. Reboot IDU and log in the Web CIT system again. After doing
that, the switch level configuration takes effect.

ware version, TCP/IP configuration, ODU and power control con-
figuration.
Steps 1. Check the system status.
Choose Quick Setup > Quick Config > System, and check
the name, location, contact information, system time, E1 used
capacity, bandwidth and modulation mode.
2. Check the protection mode.
Choose Quick Setup > Quick Config > Protection, and
check the protection type and protection mode.
3. Check the software version.
Choose Quick Setup > Quick Config > Software, and check
the software version.
4. Check TCP/IP configuration.
Choose Quick Setup > Quick Config > TCP/IP, and check

address.
5. Check the ODU status.
Choose Quick Setup > Quick Config > ODU, and check the
receiving/transmitting frequency, the receiving/transmitting
power and the transmitting frequency step.

Checking Ethernet
Transceiver Packages
Prerequisites The Web CIT system is logged on successfully.
Context Data statistics for Ethernet port involves four common ports of Eth-
ernet and one wireless Ethernet port. The statistics is displayed
in three modes: current 15 minutes, history 15 minutes, and cur-
rent 24 hours. In each display mode, the statistics is displayed
according to the five ports respectively.
Note:
For port utilization, only the statistic data of wireless Ethernet port
is provided. Because the volume of statistic data of Ethernet is
very large, the display mode of history 15 minutes only provides
statistic data of one day.
Steps 1. In the left menu, click Performance > Ethernet > Current,
as shown in Figure 78.
