Salt Resistant Polymers

The FLOCOMBTM is a unique series of polymers that have been

specially developed for use in harsh conditions - especially high
salinity brines. When the concentration of divalent cations begins
to be significant, polymer chains can coil up and precipitate from
solution, leading to a drop in viscosity. The FLOCOMBTM Series has
been engineered specifically to remedy these situations.

The FLOCOMBTM range of polymers will achieve optimum potential in reservoirs with high salinity
brines and temperatures up to 85°C.

FLOCOMB polymers sustain higher viscosities

compared to standard chemistries, especially in
very saline brines (here: salinity 130 g.L-1, 7 g.L-1
divalents, T=40°C, concentration 2000 ppm).
