For Our

Troops!
Jackie Bird of the St. Marie
Women’s Club was one of Aaron
Flint’s guests on the statewide
hour of Montana Talks as he
was broadcasting live from the
Veterans of Foreign War Fort
Peck Post #3107 in Glasgow (in
which Major Flint is a member)
on Veterans Day.
Jackie explained their
ongoing project of supplying
care packages for our troops
deployed overseas.
Aaron had a lot of locals
on the show from 8:00 to 10:00,
and one of them happens to be
highlighted on the Montana
Talks website, that of Veteran
and farmer Don Fast.
Aaron writes:
As I broadcast our live
radio show from the Montana
Farm Bureau Convention in
Billings on Tuesday, the words
of a Glasgow farmer from
Monday stuck with me.

Photographer Nate Luebbe’s passion is taking gorgeous photos in public lands. This
shot comes from Glacier National Park in Montana. How he captured this breath-taking
image? “After an unusually strong storm in September closed all the roads into the
park last month, I was forced to find new angles to work with. Thankfully, in a place like
Glacier, there’s beauty around every corner, and we were treated to this spectacular
twilight moonset over a partially frozen river. It’s moments like this that inspire me to
keep exploring.” Glacier’s geography, straddling the Continental Divide, sets the stage
for clashes of two very different climates. Warm, wet Pacific air moves in from the west,
