National Engineered Wood Product Manager 2013 to Present
Orchestrated the national EWP sales forecasting, planning and targeting plans coast to coast. Consistently strived to
improve and grow sales within the metal connectors category. Develop strong working relationships with our key vendors
to insure day to day issues are resolved quickly with the least amount of impact for both parties and the best solutions are
brought forward. Manage the National Design Office “Building Solutions” for potential liability conflicts in structural
design, enhance design strategies, customer service and retention, push bolt-on PL options to sales & customers, directed
the development of exterior siding products estimation while developing the strongest design team in the Canadian

General Manager 2008 to 2013
Promoted to run a new start up company from the ground up, manufacturing extruded vinyl railing, column, fencing and
other outdoor products. Every aspect of development was structured including branding, marketing, sales, sales
strategies, web site development, technical installation guides, engineering details, product development, pricing
structures, accounting procedures, department training and hiring, total set up of operating systems (Bis-Track), inventory
management, manufacturing set-up and retail selling programs.
 Created an interchangeable vinyl fence line and decorative railing line while keeping the capital investment under
250K with an estimated savings of over 750K for the company.
 Negotiated purchasing agreements with suppliers and sub-contractor installation crews.
 Hired and trained new employees from plant production to estimators, inside and outside sales.
 Successfully secured a vendor agreement with Lowe’s Canada for all Alpa Outdoor vinyl products lines.
 Negotiated contract sales for supply & install projects with large and small GTA area home builders such as Mattamy
Homes, Rosehaven Homes, Kaneff, Touchstone Homes, Minto, and many others throughout Southern Ontario.
 Worked diligently to secure new retail business with Home Hardware Building Centers, Timber Mart dealers, two-step
distribution, and private consumer direct sales, growing the business from zero to over $4.5M, while increase sales
margins.

ALPA FLOOR SYSTEMS INC. (Alpa Lumber Group), Brampton, ON


Service Manager & Technical Adviser 2001 to 2008
Drove pull through sales from the architectural design community and outside LBM dealer for Alpa’s manufactured floor
Joist and roof trusses.
 Provided technical advice and field service training on-site with builders and framing crews relating to any framing
details and other construction issues for the specific project using the Alpa Joist engineered floor system.
 Developed and consulted best wood framing practices to a vast client base of architectural firms, architects, designers,
engineering firms, engineers, building departments and city officials in various municipalities in Ontario.
 Provided technical support and sales leads to outside lumber sales reps, resulting in combined sales volumes in the
millions for lumber, roof trusses, vinyl windows, custom wood stairs & railings, interior trim mouldings, doors, and
some outside partnered steel companies.
 Added additional sales by establishing outside competing LBM dealer customer base selling the Alpa Joist.
