How to: building a Lazarus for LAMW [aarch64+android]

TUTORIAL I - using ”Fpcupdeluxe” tool

1) Get fpcupdeluxe

ref. https://github.com/LongDirtyAnimAlf/fpcupdeluxe/releases

[example: win64]

2) Task 1: Install Fpc + Lazarus

2.1) Run/execute "fpcupdeluxe"

2.2) Select FPC version [trunk or fixes3.2]

2.3) Select Lazarus version [trunk or fixes2.xx]

2.4) Click "Install/Update FPC+Laz" button

wait... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait...

Success!!!!

3) Task 2: Build/Install Cross compiles

3.1) Select Cross: CPU [ex. "aarch64"]

3.2) Select Cross: OS [android]

3.3) Click "Install cross-compile" button

wait... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait... wait...

Success!!!!

NOTE: If desirable/wanted repeat 3.1/3.2/3.3 for other CPUs [ex. "arm"]

4) Run/Execute "Lazarus_fpcupdeluxe" from desktop shortcut [mandatory!!!]

5) Install/configure LAMW packages

tfpandroidbridge_pack.lpk [..../android_bridges]

lazandroidwizardpack.lpk [..../android_wizard]

amw_ide_tools.lpk [..../ide_tools]

5.1) Configure LAMW

Lazarus IDE menu "Tools" ---> "[LAMW] Android Module Wizard" --> "Path Settings ..."

6) Create/Open a LAMW project

7) How to get more/others ".so" chipset builds:

.warning 1: Your Lazarus/Freepascal needs to be prepared [cross-compile] for the various

chipset builds!

.warning 2: Laz4Android2.0.0 [out-of-box] support only 32 Bits chipset: "armV6",

"armV7a+Soft", "x86"!

7.1. From LazarusIDE menu:

> Project -> Project Options -> Project Options -> [LAMW] Android Project Options -> "Build" ->
Chipset [select!] -> [OK]

7.2. From LazarusIDE menu:

> Run -> Clean up and Build...

7.3. From LazarusIDE menu:

> [LAMW] Build Android Apk and Run

NOTE: If desirable/wanted repeat 7.1/7.2/7.3 for other CPUs...

TUTORIAL II - "Do It Yourself"

1) Get Lazarus [canonical] + FPC 3.2.0

win64: [need FPC 3.2.0 to support cross-android-64 bits]

2) Install the LAMW packages

IDE "Tools" --> "[LAMW] Android Module Wizard" --> "Get FPC Source [Trunk]"

4) Build/Install android cross-compilers

IDE "Tools" --> "[ LAMW] Android Module Wizard" --> "Build FPC Cross Android"

[ex. Armv7a + Soft] <<---- tested!

5) After "build" and "install" the cross-compilers and before to create your first LAMW project

[How to fix "Fatal: Cannot find unit system used by fcllaz of package FCL."]

5.1) Go to "fpc.cfg" [ex. "lazarus\fpc\3.2.0\bin"]

Change:

# searchpath for units and other system dependent things

-FuC:\lazarus1864\fpc\$FPCVERSION/units/$fpctarget

-FuC:\lazarus1864\fpc\$FPCVERSION/units/$fpctarget/*

-FuC:\lazarus1864\fpc\$FPCVERSION/units/$fpctarget/rtl

To:

# searchpath for units and other system dependent things

-FuC:\lazarus1864\fpc\3.2.0/units/$fpctarget

-FuC:\lazarus1864\fpc\3.2.0/units/$fpctarget/*

-FuC:\lazarus1864\fpc\3.2.0/units/$fpctarget/rtl

5.2) Go to Lazarus IDE menu "Tools" --> "Options" --> "Environment"

[FPC Source]

Change:

$(LazarusDir)fpc\$(FPCVer)\source

To:

$(LazarusDir)fpc\3.2.0\source
