Sovereign God, so often we know not what we are doing. We are

We welcome all of the ministry partners who have come
to join us on this Mission Sunday! Thank you for
worshipping with us and we hope you will stay for the
covered dish dinner and discussion in the social hall
following worship.
The Missions of the Month for November are Atlantic
City Rescue Mission and Friends of Jean Webster. Please
keep these ministries in your prayers.
Friends of Jean Webster is located at The First
Presbyterian Church on Pennsylvania Avenue in Atlantic City.
Jean Webster was formally a chef in the casinos in Atlantic
City. She saw so many homeless eating out of the garbage
that she decided to do something about it. She started
feeding them out of her home and eventually moved to the
First Presbyterian Church. Jean and her friends serve 300-
400 “guests” per day five days per week. Much of the food
is donated by the casinos. Jean likes to call her kitchen the
“house of happiness” and anyone who comes in is a “guest”.
No one is ever turned away and all the staff is volunteer.
Jean says she is just following Gods orders. “I just rely on
God. It’s like the loaves and the fishes. He never lets me go
dry.”
AC Rescue Mission is a nonprofit, Christian social service
ministry that has been helping the poor and the homeless in
southern New Jersey since 1964. They supply support to
men, women and families such as meals, counseling, shelter,
recovery programs for addictions and housing and job
placement assistance.
On Christ the King Sunday, we welcome you in the name of
Jesus, our King of kings. Let us bow down before him, giving
him the honor he rightfully deserves.

Join us for a prayer time every Sunday morning in the
youth lounge before church at 9:20am.
Welcome Rev. Dr. Debby Brincivalli to the pulpit this
morning. She was installed as the Executive Presbyter of
West Jersey beginning July 2008. This position includes
discerning the needs of and caring for the 64 churches,
three immigrant fellowships, and their 12,000 members, as
well as the 147 clergy within the 3, 488 square miles of our
bounds. Prior to accepting this position, Debby was pastor
of the Presbyterian Church of Burlington, NJ for 23 years.
She has been married to James Adcock for 20 years. Please
join with us in thanking her for agreeing to be our speaker
on this Mission Sunday.
Today is Mission Sunday. A luncheon will be held in the
social hall following worship service today. We always have a
wonderful time meeting the missions that we support and
learning more about them. Come out and enjoy the good
fellowship and greet the ministries we support!
Please note: TNT will not be held this coming Tuesday,
November 23rd due to the Thanksgiving Eve Service being
held on Wednesday evening. The next TNT will be on
Tuesday, November 30th. Our last night will be
December 7th and we will begin again in the new year.
The next few Alpha sessions will feature the “lost talks”! If
you remember the last time we ran Alpha we left out several
talks from the “weekend away”. This time they will be shown
in their entirety. The talks are a wonderful discussion on
the Holy Spirit and the Spirit’s work in our life. Please plan
to attend, even if you have not been there before, we would
love to see you!

This year’s Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held at our
church, this Wednesday evening November 24th at 7:30
pm. Mike Chapman will be preaching, we will share in
communion together and there will be special music by the
Aldine Church Choir. There will also be a light reception in
the social hall immediately following the service. We hope
you can join us!
We are already beginning to plan our next youth mission
trip! Youth and adults are invited to attend our 2011
mission trip where we will be heading to Johnstown, NY. The
week of July 23rd will be spent working on homes for people
in need while we grow in our faith. If you are interested in
attending this trip please see Pastor Julia today.
The flowers this morning are presented in loving memory of
Rodney & Marian Hitchner by Dallas Skinner & family.
Save the dates:
The Birthday Party for Jesus will be held on Sunday,
December 5th following worship service. There will be
crafts for the kids and fun for the adults! We will be
decorating the sanctuary for Advent and could use your help.
Please plan to attend. A light lunch will be served and
everyone is encouraged to bring a side dish. Adults,
children, friends, neighbors…people of all ages are invited to
attend!
Our 2 annual Christmas Open House Tour will be held on

Saturday, December 18. We will meet at the church at 5 pm
to jump on the bus (or you can drive individually) to see five
homes decorated for the holidays. We had so much fun the
first time we did this in 2008 and tried to have a tour last
year but had to cancel after we received a super abundance
of snow. Come and enjoy the warm hospitality of our
members who are graciously opening their home to us. If
you think you can attend, please sign the sheet in the
narthex so we can get a idea of how many folks to expect.
December 19th will be the Sunday School program and
Shoeless Sunday. Please bring in a pair of new shoes and a
$3 donation to cover shipping costs. The shoes are for
orphan children (sizes small through adult) given through the
Buckner Foundation.
This year’s Christmas Cantata will be held on Sunday
evening, December 19th at 7:30 pm. This year will be a
collection of Christmas Anthems. Special music will include a
piano solo by Margaret and the Praise Band. We hope you
can join us!
We would like to complete our next newsletter by the
end of November. If you would like to share any
articles, announcements, etc. please turn them into Jill
no later than today. You can e-mail her at
jstout312@comcast.net or you can leave them in the basket
outside of the nursery. We really need your help to put
together a great newsletter and notes about all God is doing
in our church!
The Bible Reading Challenge ends next week. But please
don’t let that be the end of your Bible Reading! Plan to
turn in your reading logs next week. The Sunday School
class winning the ice cream party will be announced at the
birthday party for Jesus on December 5th.
The Deacons need the names and addresses of college
students by today. You may give this information to any
Deacon member.
Disciple's Pantry in Woodstown continues to be in need of
boxed items such as cereals, pasta, mac-n-cheese, & rice.
They are gathering anything available in a can. Dried milk is
welcome but must be in “individual” serving sizes to make
distribution easier and more equal. Please leave your
contribution in the box marked in the narthex and we will
make sure it gets there.
We will be putting together a newsletter next week and
would like some help. If you can assist in stuffing
enveloples and preparing the mailing it would be greatly
appreciated.
The Youth Group is now selling beautiful 2011 calendars.
Only $6 will get you a very nice gift for someone (or
yourself) and also support our youth. Please ask any youth
group member or pick one up for $6 in the narthex or by the
adult lounge. Thank you!
Our Annual Stewardship Campaign continues today.
Thank you for turning your pledges in this week so we
can celebrate Consecration Sunday next week! Your
willingness to pledge will help us be good stewards of our
resources and better plan for 2011. Feel free to talk to
Kurt Reichert with questions.
A big “Thank You” from children around the world to those
of you who took the time, effort and expense to pack a
shoebox full of good things for them. Your shoebox will join
millions of others to bring smiles to children who do without
everyday.
“Thank You” for your donations to the “net”. The Sunday
School students are always excited for the opportunity to
spend the “fish” they earn in class. Donations of small toys,
books, candy, etc. are always accepted. Next “net” date will
be December 12th.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the churchyard clean
up! We are thankful to have so many people who are willing
to donate their time and talents to our church. Thank you to
the Trustees for all their hard work and for leading this
clean up day.
Another big thank you goes out to Dallas Skinner for over 30
years of service as our “Cemetery Overseer”. Dallas has
notified the Trustee’s of his intentions to “retire”. As is
always the case, it usually takes several people to replace
one good man. The Trustee’s would like to form a Cemetery
Committee to share in handling cemetery business. Our plan
would be to find three or four people fill this committee. If
interested please contact any Trustee.
Help Wanted – Do you have a special talent like painting,
cleaning, making repairs, etc? The Trustees are developing a
job list for work that needs attention around the building.
Perhaps every month the Trustees will select a project for a
Saturday morning or weekday evening. Those with the skills
for the project can volunteer (sign up) to meet and complete
the task. Hopefully with volunteers we can complete some
of this necessary work. During this time of the Annual
Stewardship Campaign please consider pledging your time
and talent to this worthwhile endeavor.
There are 8 assisted listening devices available for people to
better hear the worship service. They are located in a
basket in the narthex. Please return the devices to the
basket at the conclusion of worship. If you look for a device
and they are all taken please let the office know. We want to
have enough available for everyone who needs one. CD
copies of our worship service are available every Sunday in
the narthex.
