 Much of this placement was spent teaching STEM and math. I was able to gain
experience in a classroom environment, while developing my knowledge of instructional
strategies that I have been able to implement in future professional semester placements.

Relevant Work Experience


Medicine Hat Public Library Summer Programmer (May-August 2017, 2018, & 2019)
 Planned and implemented eight weeks of the TD Summer Reading Club.
 Explored subjects such as drama, art, and science through crafts, games, activities, and
literature.
 Worked both independently and as part of a team.
 Worked directly with children ages seven to twelve including instructing and supervising
large (up to sixty children) and small groups.
 Maintained communication with parents regarding child well-being and behavior.
 Gained skills in conflict resolution and de-escalation of situations.
