The following information describes available rotations at each core site for third year
rotation placement. Included is a list of all Internal Medicine subspecialties available at
the core site, along with a list of all Surgical subspecialties available at each site. We will
do our best to allow students to choose their IM and Surgical subspecialties depending
on what is available at each core site. The subspecialty selection at each core site will
continue to grow in the next 6 months.
Some core sites will have one or possibly two rotations that are not available at that core
site and will require travel of over an hour and the need for additional lodging. We will
identify lodging opportunities when available. Students will be responsible for this
lodging unless there is clearly identified housing within the hospital or health system.
The number of rotations away from the core sites is subject to change at any time.
To meet our accreditation requirements each student must spend one month in a
rotation that involves a resident from a ACGME approved program. This may also add
to travel and away rotations at a few sites. All residencies located at core sites are listed
for your information.
