CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
When deciding what could be the research for this project the researcher wanted to study
a topic that involved crime and the community. Therefore, the researcher looked into different
methods of crime control within societies and after much reading the researcher discovered that
there were many debates surrounding Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). CCTV is an interesting
topic as it is clear that it has many different uses and functions within communities, it is found all
over the country and is involved in everyday life. However, to what extent it works is debatable.
Therefore, the researcher decided to look at the effectiveness of CCTV in solving crime. The
researcher choose to concentrate at La Trinidad, Benguet. The researcher believed this would
give a clear insight into the opinions of a community. It also meant that with the help of the
respondents the researcher could gain extremely useful information from the people who work

The questions indentified were later on sustained formally by the instructor. The
questions were printed out the day before the conduction of the given questioners. Most of the
data gathering was administered on all five respondents in different police station in La Trinidad
Benguet. The respondents were given a privilege/change to answer the questions properly.
Afterward, the researcher gather all the collected information. Therefore, the researcher conclude
the study.
CHAPTER III
RESULTS & DISCUSSION
Most of the respondents agreed that CCTV is effective to use as an evidence of the crime.
For the reason that CCTV will not lie. It also provide the actual footage of what happened during
the crime. CCTV footage being captured can also help identifying the perpetrators during the
commission of crimes. All of the respondents also tells the main purpose why CCTV is effective
in solving a certain crime , which are it can record the exact time or place of the events during a
crime. It can use as a strong evidence in the prosecution of a case. By the help of CCTV the
investigators can finish/accomplish the unsolved crime by reviewing the record footage taken at
the said place of incident and by identification of witnesses we can easily identify the person
involve , victim and etc that can be use in the court. Most of respondents said that investigators
usually check out the CCTV footage during the crime investigation for the reason of establishing
the link between the suspect and the physical evidence collected at the crime scene. Most of the
respondents tells that CCTV support or help to reduce crime because offenders will think twice
to commit an offense infront of a camera. It can be the guide for the persons involved not to do

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
The researcher conclude that CCTV is very relevant especially today that crimes is very
known or trends.
