Hola muy buenos días a los estudiantes del liceo nacional “las américas” nos encontramos en

el programa radial “el sonar de la juventud” sean todos bienvenidos, hoy estaremos hablando
de un tema de gran interés, siendo este “La lucha contra la exclusión, el racismo y toda forma
de discriminación”, en este tema encontraremos lo que es esta problemática en general, como
afecta a un sinfín de personas, y más importante aún cómo afecta a una importante cantidad
de estudiantes en la actualidad, un problema muy grave que perjudica cada vez más el
rendimiento de los estudiantes en su actividad académica, y por último que medidas se toman
sobre este tema de gran importancia, donde grandes organizaciones internacionales tiene el
deber de tomar medidas y establecer leyes para disminuir de la manera más rápida y eficaz
este asunto. En esta grata oportunidad le acompañara y quien les habla: x, estudiantes de 5
año sección “d” del liceo nacional “las américas” bajo la orientación de los docentes X-X-X.

Para empezar podemos decir que la discriminación racial y étnica ocurre a diario a la vez que
impide el progreso de millones de personas en todo el mundo. El racismo y la intolerancia
destruyen vidas y comunidades por medio de diversas manifestaciones, desde privar a las
personas de los principios fundamentales de igualdad y no discriminación, hasta propiciar el
odio étnico que puede conducir al genocidio. Siendo esto un grave problema que puede
afectar a todas las personas en general, pero cabe destacar que se puede apreciar actualmente
con más frecuencia en las escuela, liceos y otra diversidad de instituciones académicas que
existen, donde se puede observar exclusión y racismo entre los mismos estudiantes, de lo cual
se crea una preocupación en el ámbito internacional por el hecho de que se vuelve más
frecuente y normal.

Po su parte, Las Naciones Unidas se ha ocupado de este problema desde su fundación y la

prohibición de la discriminación racial está consagrada en todos los instrumentos principales
de derechos humanos. La prohibición de la discriminación racial establece obligaciones para
los Estados y les encomienda la tarea de erradicar la discriminación del ámbito público y
privado. Asimismo, el principio de la igualdad también exige a los Estados adoptar medidas
especiales para eliminar las condiciones que causan la discriminación racial o que contribuyen
a perpetuarla.

En 2001, La Conferencia Mundial contra el Racismo elaboró el programa más integral y con
más autoridad para combatir el racismo, la discriminación racial, la xenofobia y las formas
conexas de intolerancia. Se trata de la Declaración y Programa de Acción de Durban. En abril
de 2009, la Conferencia de Examen de Durban examinó el progreso mundial alcanzado para
superar el racismo y llegó a la conclusión de que aún queda mucho por hacer. No cabe duda de
que el logro más importante de la conferencia fue la renovación del compromiso internacional
con el programa de trabajo contra el racismo.

Actualmente esta problemática sigue vigente, pero dándose a notar que diferentes
organizaciones mundiales, ya está al tanto y tomando previsiones de este tema como lo es la
ONU. Donde falta más compromiso de los diferentes países para afrontar esa realidad.

For its part, the United Nations has dealt with this problem since its foundation and the
prohibition of racial discrimination is enshrined in all major human rights instruments. The
prohibition of racial discrimination establishes obligations for States and entrusts them with
the task of eradicating discrimination from the public and private spheres. Likewise, the
principle of equality also requires states to adopt special measures to eliminate conditions that
cause racial discrimination or contribute to perpetuating it.

In 2001, The World Conference against Racism developed the most comprehensive and
authoritative program to combat racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related
intolerance. This is the Durban Declaration and Program of Action. In April 2009, the Durban
Review Conference examined the global progress made to overcome racism and concluded

conference was the renewal of the international commitment to the work program against
racism.
