IV. Objectives/ Agenda:

 To promote excellence in Mathematics among the pupils
 To select competitive pupils on Mathematics for higher level contests

V. Highlight of the Activity

In compliance of the Division Memorandum No. 518 s. 2019 entitled 2019 Area
Mathematics Fair, the San Miguel District holds a “District Mathematics Quiz and Da
Math Competition” on September 17, 2019 at San Miguel Central School Multi-Purpose
Hall. This was conducted to select competitive pupils for Area Math Fair.
Mrs. Charissa Toledo served as the Toatsmaster for today’s event. 8:00 in the
morning, when the pupils, coaches, proctors, school heads and parents were gathered in
the Multi-Purpose building. Mrs. Jocelyn Miralles, District Mathematics Association
President opened the program. After which, Mr. Benedicto C. Ragonot, Jr., presented the
participants of every school of each contest particularly the Math Quiz and Da Math
contest. Then, Mrs. Marietta U. Brazil, District Mathematics Coordinator stated the
purpose of the event and its mechanics. This is to inform the participants on what to deal
with the higher level of this contest. In addition, she also informed the participants and
the assigned proctors to where their examination rooms are.
At 9:00, the contest proper started. The coaches and parents of the participants
were supportive. At 11:30, the contests were finished. And the following winners were
awarded by Mrs. Brazil in their respective examination rooms;

VI. Result/ Outcome

Competitive pupils were awarded. The District Mathematics Quiz and Da Math
Competition were successfully done.
