Opening
How did Louis Armstrong, Langston Hughes, Babe Ruth, Henry Ford, and
Charles Lindbergh contribute to the 1920s?
Work Period
Engage: Students will write a blog post as if they were Louise Armstrong, Babe
Ruth, Langston Hughes, Henry Ford or Charles Lindberg. In the blog post,
students will reflect on their greatest achievement in the 1920s.
Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy: Creating
Enhance: Once students have completed their blog post, they will be required
to comment on other classmates’ blogs as if they were the historical person
they selected.

Closing
/Assessment Extend: Students will post to the classroom Padlet (discussion board) and list
two things they learned about another classmate’s historical person.
Opening
What happened on October 29, 1929? What is the Great Depression? What is
the New Deal?
Students will find the answers using www.kidrex.org (Kid friendly search

Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy: Remembering
Work Period
Once students have identified the answers to the questions, they will be split
into groups of three. Each group will have The Stock Market Crash, The Great
Depression or The New Deal.
Engage: Using iMovie, students will create a movie demonstrating their chosen
event. For example, the group that has The Stock Market will film a movie that
demonstrate what The Stock Market Crash was, as well the events leading up
to it.

Enhance: When each group is done with their iMovie, they will present it to the
class.

Closing/Assessment
Extend: Once we are finished watching the movies, students will go to my poll
on www.polleverywhere.com and vote on their favorite movie.

Opening
What is a digital citizen?
What does it mean to be a digital citizen?
Work Period Engage: Students will use Mindly to create a mind map to display what it
means to be a digital citizen.
Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing,
Evaluating, and Creating
Enhance: When students have completed their mind maps on Mindly, they will
share it to the classroom Padlet for others to view.

Closing/Assessment
Extend: For closing, as a class we will create our own mind map to display in
the room. Students will share their favorite ideas from their mind map, as well
as others to create one for the classroom.
