1 Scope

The information applies to the software upgrade of the SonoScape S2(0905)&S11(0905).

2 Tool for upgrade

Tool Model Remark

USB disk Kingston DataTraveler 4G Size of the USB disk should

be bigger than 4GB.

3 Update

3.1 Make a Bootable USB disk

1. Ensure the size of the USB disk is enough，copy the 3 folders below to the
root directory of the USB disk.

2. Open the boot folder under the root directory of the USB disk, Double-click

to execute the script ，press any key twice as prompted to

make the bootable USB disk：

Press any key as prompted, Complete the bootable USB disk production.

3.2 Enter the BIOS

1. Insert the bootable USB disk contains the upgrade files into the USB port

of the instrument to be upgraded.

2. Keep pushing down the【Depth】switch when starting the system, when the system

prompt for a password: enter ‘service’ and press 【Enter】 key，enter the BIOS

setting surface.

3.3 BIOS setting

1. Boot device priority

Using 【←】/【→】 on the keyboard to enter the tabs，using the【↑】/【↓】

on the keyboard to choose the ‘Hard Disk Drives’ and set the USB disk as the

priority option like the picture below. Press【Enter】key.

2. Save settings

After set the bootable USB disk as the priority boot device, press【Freeze】
back to the previous menu, use【←】/【→】，enter Exit menu，choose ‘Save Changes
and Exit’，press 【OK】 button and the system will reboot.

3.4 Installation

1. After set the bootable USB disk as priority boot device, the system reboot

and shows the initial interface of the upgrade below.

Wait 10 second or press【Enter】enter the system in the USB disk.

2. After enter the system in the USB disk，Wait for the USB disk to self-test

till the screen shows the surface below, input ‘install’ and press【Enter】，

then the prompt appears on the screen:

Wait 10 seconds the system will automatically enter another surface，press

‘install’ again，and press【Enter】to ensure，system will automatically install

the system.

After five minutes, the system installation complete, press the 【Enter】key

as prompted，the system will shutdown. Pulling the USB disk out and press power

key to start the ultrasound equipment.

3.5 Import of the dongle

1. Copy the keypass file Corresponding to the serial number of the dongle

to the root directory of the USB disk.，insert the USB disk into the

USB port of the instrument to be upgraded.

2. Press menu in the selection interface of probes and Diagnostic modes to open

the system setting, choose the tab ‘about’.

3. Press【Exam】 under the “About” tab, input ‘12345678’ in the enter code

surface, press 【Enter】enter the engineering mode.

Choose ‘Engineer Config’ tab in the engineering mode，choose ‘Function’,

click ‘Import EnDog’ to import the license, the importing of the license finishes

when ‘success’ shows on the interface.

4. Restart the ultrasound equipment after imported the dongle ， enter any

diagnosis mode, if there is ‘μ-Scan’ menu when you press the ‘Menu’ key to open

the mode menu, it means the importing success.
