Unit Title: The Church in the Modern World 2nd Quarter

I. Subject Description (What the book is all about)
Christian Living 9 Traces the journey of the Church on the Move from her birth to her attainment
of fullness at the consummation of human history.

II. School’s Vision

The School of St. Brother Benilde is an educational institution which develops and forms the
young through quality, human, and Christian education. The school offers well rounded curricula
that equip students with the essential skills, values, and knowledge so that they may become
active members of the Church and the Society.

III. School’s Mission

As members of the School of St. Brother Benilde Community, we commit ourselves to be of
service to the poor, to nurture Christians to be stewards of God’s creations, to provide excellent
education. We believe in God, others, self, and nature. We involve ourselves in the translation of
school’s vision into meaningful experience with the end of teaching minds, touching hearts,
transforming lives, and living Christ among all the members of the School Community.

IV. Established Goals (General objectives of the second quarter)

This program will help the learner to:
1. Strive to live a normal life as a disciple of Jesus Christ and as an active
member of the Christian community.
2. Gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the basic concepts of
morality that help them to the attainment of a truly Christian moral life.
3. Learn to ponder on the words and teachings of Christ and the ritual
celebrations of the Church.
Desired Results (Specific objectives of the second quarter)
Students will be able to independently use their learning to:
1. Define baptism
2. Help students to better understand the relationship of the church with Christ.
3. Sing the song, One Bread, One Body.
