SEMI DETAILED LESSON PLAN

Grade 12 – APPLIED ECONOMICS

I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the learners are able to:the end of the lesson, the learners should
have:
1. Defined economic as an applied science;
2. Identified the basic economic problems;
3. Enumerated the things to be done to solve the economic problems in the country.

Brain Warming: 4 Pics 1 Word

The class will be divided into six groups. Each group will give the appropriate or the exact
answer of the projected problem on screen. They will have to write their answers on a meta
strip given to them. After writing their answers on a meta strip the group will have to shout
for their group name so that they will be acknowledged. The group being acknowledged will
have to show their answer to the class and wait for the teacher to announce the group with
the highest number of points earned wins.

C. Activity
The teacher will show to the class slides with five (5) different pictures common to an
issue or problems in our society. Let the learner’s guess the issue or problems depicted.

D. Analysis
The teacher will show photos of newspaper headlines. Let the learners analyze each
picture.

E. Abstraction
Discussion of the following concepts:
1. Basic economic Problems of the Country
2. What can be done to solve Unemployment Rate
3. What can be done to solve poverty problem

F. Application
The teacher will give each group a bond paper to be used for this activity. The teacher
will let the group to think for any raw materials found in their locality. He will let them decide
to get only three among the many options they had think and brainstormed. The three raw
materials they have decided will be used to fill in the chart given to them. After 10 minutes,
each group will then report to the class their finished output.

G. Evaluation
Each pair will work for the activity given by the teacher. Flashed on the screen are the
lists of economic problems arising in the Philippines. All they need to do is to select one
and enumerate the things needed to be done to solve these economic problems in the
country. These will be done through writing a poem, a song composition, an interactive
drawing, or by writing an essay. After 10 minutes, the teacher will select 7 pairs of students
to present their work in front.
