Associated Learning Standard(s): The resource may be generally applicable, if so, simply state that. List any ISTE-S standards that
seem to naturally align with the selected resource.

 ISTE-S 3c: Students curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of
artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions.
 ISTE-S 6a: Students choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or
communication.
 ISTE-S 7a: Students use digital tools to connect with learners from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, engaging with
them in ways that broaden mutual understanding and learning.
 ISTE-S 7b: Students use collaborative technologies to work with others, including peers, experts or community members,
to examine issues and problems from multiple viewpoints.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

This technology is used to allow multiple individuals to collaborate on a project that they may be working on. How this is achieved
is through one person creating the initial board and format of the board and then inviting up to four other individuals to the
board. When on the board students can add digital sticky notes that could have brief notes, videos, or pictures. Students can also
color code the sticky notes and assign different themes to different colors, so it is easy to keep track of what note is for what
aspect of the project. Students also have the ability to add connecting lines to the various sticky notes to add another way to
connect similar ideas along with the color coding. People on the board can also upvote or downvote the sticky notes so that group
members can quickly let their immediate feelings known about the info on the sticky known to the larger group.

One thing I don’t with this particular piece of technology is that it is extremely limited on features for a free account. For instance,
on the picture example I used the sections couldn’t have a custom name on free accounts. When it comes to looking for images
through their system, they are clearly using free domain pictures instead of linking to Google images, which means the picture
selection is extremely limited. I was not even able to figure out how to import a picture from my own computer.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your classroom, or among
students and others outside of the classroom?

This could be used in the classroom when students are doing a group project that requires quite a bit of brainstorming and the
instructor wants students to first be able to quickly add, share, and review brainstorming ideas for the project.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

This website does conform to state standards. This will also enhance student earning as it is quite interactive for the students
involved and allows students to access the various ideas and make critiques/assess those ideas, which requires a higher cognitive
level. This will be used by students directly.
