Matt Harvey came on board at the end because there were 3 songs left

Why so many drummers? Is it marketing, need for different

With Gruesome ts tough tobe rally actice because everyone else is so
busy. And contrary to some people's belief we aren't getting rich from
Gruesome either. So we usually have to see how things go with each
step and go from there. If this tour is successful and the demand is
enough that we can afford to make the time away from work and the
other bands we will certainly make another trip across the pond. We
have no dates in the UK, Spain, Italy andthe Eastern area and those are
all great markets so hopefully we will come through in 2019!

I think the strength of the record is the variation. No song is like the
other. We always have live recorded our records. Since Deceased to Exist
we have recorded everything in our rehearsal room. Just rig everything
and fit record, Our friend Niels Nielsen (also from Atvidaberg) have
produced our first 2 records, Joakim Pettersson from Reguritate helped
us with master and mix on the EP. And on Ornaments we wanted to try to
record and mix it by ourselves. We recorded drums and guitar together
live, and I added vocals, guitars and bass. So this record is not completely

extended to fit the first 2 songs (that are both around 7 minutes long). The last track is live recording of another (to me) unknown track, that will
probably end on upcoming album. First 2 songs sound very interesteing but it's hard to predict if the band will reach the cult status that they have
‘potential for. I will surelly keep an eye on them. DAC a LT

2 « __| There's no filer songs on this album. Actually ll songs are well crated and Gus Rios obviously spent

bands like Exhorder, Demolition Hammer and Devastation, with some death metal elements, like
backing vocals and blast beats. The beginning of "Crave the Blood" sounds like the track could end
up on Malevolent Creation - "Retribution album while "Decimate" and "Gauntlet of Pain" smell of

KROMORTH — Geodesic Beast (Diabolicum Records)
The end of 90-es brought us wave of Brazian extreme death metal bands highly inspired by Kisan

seemed that this Braian craft was forgotten. However alter recent comeback of Rebaliun and now
this album it seems like the basis finaly coming hack, According to very poor info I had to gather
from few diferent pages, Bazan band Kromoth was formed in 1999. In 2000 they released 3

gays deliver only 1 drum beat - non stop blast beat. Some will worship band because of ths, others
will ay it’s to much and that music lacks of creativity and both cn be righ. Although songs and ifs sound similar and with very short breaks
betwen songs it makes th whole album sounds like one very long track, thee’s something that keeps me paying this record over and over again

Cannibal Corpse touches. Stripped down to a duo, the band became more focused and wrote some
terrific songs. All songs are equally good, they flow great and if you are sick of plastic, triggered drums
and meaningless riff complexity you must check this out. They made lot off improvement in sound
compared to previous albums and those pummeling drums and rotten guitar tone fit perfectly this
horror soundtrack. Many bands are inspired by horror genre but ths is really the first ime I found
some band that has created such deadly, horror atmosphere. Actually I would not be surprised if
‘someone used instrumental track “Slaughterhouse” in some horror movie. Another thing | like a lot
is hand painted cover artwork that fits perfectly the atmosphere of “Omaments of Severity”. My

two have very similar sound, so you could easily put these 7” and 12” on 1 cd and release it as an
album, Songs from Empires are bit more brutal and catchy while Dunwich is bit more moody so it
would be perfect combination. The way it is now, I like Empires bit more, since those songs stick in
mind faster than new 5 songs, but the ttle track is for sure one of ther best songs ever. Their early
albunts are not my cup of tea but they definitely started new, killer chapter with last 2 offerings. Keep
an eye on ambassadors of horror, it’s a must for all fans of Swedish/Sunlght death metal

catch my attention and then in couple of months I came across Undergang and Prenelith and now
there's another band worth of writing about. After 1 demo and one EP, Taphos finally released full
length album. 8 songs (+ intro) of funeral, low tuned rotten death metal, ful of dark atmosphere
and hammering riffs. Here and there some riffs remind me of Mangled Torsos, and some even oftheir
countrymates Iniquity, although Taphos is following darker and more primitive path. This is not
something epochal, no songs stand out from the rest of material but it certainly feels good listening

will tour more and visit my area. DU Re sy
