We always try to create music that we like to listen, not just record new songs and "put itin a drawer". We have to like those songs, ore ce an of music, we have a lot of inspiration. The debut fall-length album catitled, "Summoned To Rise,” was recorded and mixed by Rios and features guest drummers Dirk Verbueren (MEGADETH, cx-SOILWORK) and Tobias Gustafsson (VOMITORY, GOD MACABRE & TOIRTURE DIVISION). The rest of the drums onthe album were handled by Gus Rios and Alex Marquez. Through the years even after deciding to focus on the drums, I've always loved guitars and playing them. Tve always been a guitar player and after so many albums as a drummer | wanted to approach an album as a guitar player. So 1 thought that it would be fun to have guest drummers since I'm fortunate enough to call several bad ass drummers friends. And contrary to some people's belief we aren't getting rich from Gruesome either. So we usually have to see how things go with each step and go from there. If this tour is successful and the demand is enough that we can afford to make the time away from work and the other bands we will certainly make another trip across the pond. We have no dates in the UK, Spain, Italy andthe Eastern area and those are all great markets so hopefully we will come through in 2019! Speaking about tours, what do you think about possibilty of Exhumed/ Solstice/ Gruesome/ Create a Kill package? They are working on new album and I'm eager to hear what will they offer, since this kind of bands need more space and time to express their vision completely. The 3rd song on EP is cover of Rotting Christ - “Mystical Meeting” that didn't draw my Oe ee OC cs cee ee md extended to fit the first 2 songs (that are both around 7 minutes long). The last track is live recording of another (to me) unknown track, that will probably end on upcoming album. First 2 songs sound very interesteing but it's hard to predict if the band will reach the cult status that they have ‘potential for. I will surelly keep an eye on them. However alter recent comeback of Rebaliun and now this album it seems like the basis finaly coming hack, According to very poor info I had to gather from few diferent pages, Bazan band Kromoth was formed in 1999. In 2000 they released 3 Clee eee ate and in 2018 they released their debut album ented “Geodesic Beast”- 12 songs in 31:46 minutes ‘ of lasting Brazilian death metal. Stripped down to a duo, the band became more focused and wrote some terrific songs. All songs are equally good, they flow great and if you are sick of plastic, triggered drums and meaningless riff complexity you must check this out. They made lot off improvement in sound compared to previous albums and those pummeling drums and rotten guitar tone fit perfectly this horror soundtrack. Many bands are inspired by horror genre but ths is really the first ime I found some band that has created such deadly, horror atmosphere. Actually I would not be surprised if ‘someone used instrumental track “Slaughterhouse” in some horror movie. Another thing | like a lot is hand painted cover artwork that fits perfectly the atmosphere of “Omaments of Severity”. My PSEC SEU RSs ee Se Ue highlights of 2017 for sure DUA RCo PUTERAEON -The Dunwich Damnation, 12” (Growls From the Underground) Thelieve everybody were looking forward to next Puteraeon album after killer “The Empires of Death” MA Ae ee ae ee ea get great sounding fall length album from this band. “The Dunwich Damnation” is continuation of The en ee Peri two have very similar sound, so you could easily put these 7” and 12” on 1 cd and release it as an album, Songs from Empires are bit more brutal and catchy while Dunwich is bit more moody so it would be perfect combination. The way it is now, I like Empires bit more, since those songs stick in mind faster than new 5 songs, but the ttle track is for sure one of ther best songs ever. Their early albunts are not my cup of tea but they definitely started new, killer chapter with last 2 offerings. Keep an eye on ambassadors of horror, it’s a must for all fans of Swedish/Sunlght death metal PMLA ‘TAPHOS - Come Ethereal Somberness (Blood Harvest Records) ACR a ae et COU Rear f catch my attention and then in couple of months I came across Undergang and Prenelith and now there's another band worth of writing about. After 1 demo and one EP, Taphos finally released full length album. 8 songs (+ intro) of funeral, low tuned rotten death metal, ful of dark atmosphere and hammering riffs. Here and there some riffs remind me of Mangled Torsos, and some even oftheir countrymates Iniquity, although Taphos is following darker and more primitive path. This is not something epochal, no songs stand out from the rest of material but it certainly feels good listening tothem.I checked out few lve videos on youtube and band sounds very good lve so I really hope they will tour more and visit my area. DU Re sy SCAFFOLD - Years of Decadence, EP (Miner Records) This is the extended version of the same titled maxi single, that was previously available only in digital format, and it is an announcement of upcoming full length album. The title track and Pee RRR CRO ae PAO PE OS ree ae CU atc band finally strike again with their deathrash mix of Kreator, Death and Bloodbath (Serbia) influences. I've been following them since 1993/94 and every new release was more mature and better than the previous one. Decades of experience are evident in every detail of their music.
