Course objectives/course learning After the completion of this module, the student
outcomes will be able to:
CO 1. Students are able to explain the process of
earth's formation and earth's interior
structure.
CO 2. students are able to identify minerals and
rocks
CO 3. students are able to associate rock with
time geology.
CO 4. students are able to distinguish geological
processes.
CO 5. explain the symptoms of volcanism and
seismicity.
CO 6. students are able to apply mathematics in
mapping rocks and minerals
Course content Course this is an eye lectures compulsory that
contains about the formation of Earth and the
interior of the earth , mineral and types of rocks
, Time geology , cause of deformation , the
formation of mountains , volcanism and
earthquakes , as well as mapping the geology
Forms of Assessment Participants are marked based on: Individual task
(30%), Midterm Exam (35%), Final Exam
(35%).

forms of examination 1. Students must attend 15 minutes before the
class starts
