 Marketing is all about creating value for the customers and maintaining profitable
relationship with them. Keeping in mind the ultimate goal is long term profit.

Given the exposure laying down a plan how to learn marketing further

 As done in previous Organization behavior session, I will complete small class based activities,
like a role play between a buyer and seller, within my study group or class which could lead to a
short group presentation on a specific task. As it is well said, learning the art of the sales pitch is
crucial.

 As we all know that observation is the key of marketing, therefore I will always try to be
updated about the business world not necessarily in the field of marketing but also in other
fields like in the field of finance by keeping an eye on company’s market share price, its
profits/losses, its net value, etc.

 I will also try to stay updated by watching business related media like television, articles etc. for
example the latest news that Patanjali is thinking to acquire Ruchi soya (India’s largest oil seed
manufacturer). I will also try to stay updated with the help of internet by searching about these
things.

 Most importantly I will always keep learning more and more about the subject to sharpen my
skills to a great extent because it is always said “that where you stop learning, you stop
growing”. Therefore, stating this quote, it is very clear to me to never stop learning and never
to become overconfident on the topic.

 I will also work on my linguistic skills and presentation skill to deliver my thoughts and ideas on
right time at right place with my full potential. Excellent writing ability and related the research
to a story to build customer attention.
 Be a good observer. Know about digital tools, platform and channels.

 As taught in first few Business Analysis sessions, I will read the business case studies that reflect
the reality of decision-making and problem-solving activities in a professional business
environment. These will provide basis for essays and exams. For example:
 Marketing strategies case studies … Birchbox
 Marketing strategies case studies … Seth Godin
 Marketing strategies case studies … Taylor Swift, etc.

 To enhance my level of thinking and mental abilities required for becoming a successful future
manager, I will read and try to understand the magazines which are famous for marketing.
Some examples of these magazines are as follows:
 Advertising age
 Adweek
 Harvard business reviews
 Marketing week
 Forbes
 Fast company, etc.

 To get a clear vision about what happens in all companies, how they actually work, what they
do to increase their market, what marketing strategies they adopt, etc., I will read about the
companies who have world’s best marketing techniques. A few example of these techniques
are as follows:

3. Johnson and Johnson’s
4. Dunkin Donuts
5. Domino's
6. World Wildlife Foundation
7. Pearse Trust
