Set Your Priorities Right
…Martha, dear Martha, you’re fussing far too much and
getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only
is essential, and Mary has chosen it… (Luke 10:41-42
MSG).

Inmorelife,about
many are more preoccupied with learning
their work, how to be better in running
their family, business, managing their finances, etc. While this
is good and commendable, all of those things will never make
you a complete person; they’ll never bring you to the place
that the Spirit of God wants you to be. The most important
thing in your life—your greatest pursuit—should be getting a
hold of God’s Word, knowing it, and living in it; having the
Word build your life and mould your character. Make this
your number one goal as you set your priorities for the year.
Consider what happened in Luke 10: Jesus visited
Mary and Martha in their home. Martha, Mary’s elder sister,
didn’t quite give attention to what was most important. Soon
as Jesus arrived, she hurried into the kitchen to fix Him a meal,
thinking to give the Master a good treat. However, Mary,
with great excitement, sat at the feet of the Master to get
nothing but the Word. She must have thought, “The Master
in my house? This is an opportunity of a lifetime to get my life
improved!” Thus, she chose to sit before the Master, taking
a hold of every Word that He taught. She had her priorities
right.
Read again in our opening verse, the Master’s
commendation of her faith and passion for the Word, despite
Martha’s complaints that she had left her to do the chores
all by herself. It reminds of another of Jesus’ encounter with
a woman at the well of Samaria. He had asked the woman
for a drink of water, and she declined. Then Jesus said to her,
“…If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to
thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and
he would have given thee living water” (John 4:10). Like this
woman, if Martha had known who Jesus was, she would have
been asking for “food” from Him, not trying to get Him some.
Take a cue from Mary. Set your priorities right by
giving adequate attention to the Word. The Word is the real
foundation for everything.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving
me your Word, the material to
build my life, and strengthen my
faith; my understanding is
enlightened to know the
mysteries of your Kingdom, and
walk in your perfect will, in Jesus’
Name. Amen.

Never Alone
…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way
fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I
will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you
helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold
on you) ... (Hebrews 13:5 AMP).

Asbeen,
a child of God, you’re never alone; you’ve never
and will never walk alone as long as you have
the Holy Spirit in you. He lives in, and with you—not for a
time, but for all time. Part of His ministry in your life is to stay
in fellowship with you, strengthening your faith and stirring up
courage in you to do the will of God, and fulfil your calling.
Encourage the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit
in your life through your conscious appreciation of His
indwelling and abiding presence. Perhaps you’re out on
evangelism, witnessing to others about Christ; know that
you’re not alone. As you minister and share the Word, He’s
there, confirming the Word in the hearts of those to whom
you’re ministering; He’s ministering together with you.
Any time you feel you’re alone or feel as though you’re
not making impact the way you ought to, remember and
recognize that the Holy Spirit is in, and with you.
Acknowledge His presence and work in you, as Jesus did.
Jesus said, “…the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the
works” (John 14:10). He recognized the Holy Spirit as the
Father that dwelt in Him, working in, and through Him.
Recognize that your Father (the Holy Spirit) lives in
you; He’s much more than an influence, a prophecy or an
inspiration; He’s your Father, your guide and your keeper.
Trust Him with your life and you’ll always be a success. He’s
the true Helper: the One you can rely on, and trust, to bring
you out of any difficult situation.
If you’re experiencing some challenges right now,
perhaps with your finances, health, academics, marriage,
business, or career, don’t fret; you’re not alone. Don’t go
seeking help from men; set your attention and affection on
the Holy Spirit; He never fails. Read again, His reassuring
and comforting words to you in our opening scripture, and
ponder on the emphasis in the underlined portion.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the
Holy Spirit, my teacher, my guide
and my keeper; the Father that
dwells in me! I’m a success, a
victor and a champion for life, by
the Holy Spirit who lives in me
and performs wonders through
me. I acknowledge and take
advantage of His presence in my
life, and nothing is impossible to
me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. 1 YEAR BIBLE

He Needs You!
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the
earth hath he given to the children of men (Psalm
115:16).

Ifremains
you had a house and leased it to someone, it
yours, but for the period of the lease, you
have no authority over that house. In other words, you can’t
manage or run the house. During the period, the lessee
exercises authority over the property and runs it according to
the terms of the lease agreement.
In the same way, God has given man this world to run,
and for the time being, He can’t run the world by Himself;
He’s given you the authority to do that. The time will come
for Him to run the world but until then, you and I have the
divine responsibility to run the world for Jesus Christ, and He
will hold us accountable for how we ran our world.
Many, including Christians, analyze the events and
happenings in the world and wonder why God isn’t “doing”
anything to right the wrongs. Well, if you’re waiting on God
to do something, you’re making a mistake. He needs you.
He doesn’t, and wouldn’t, do anything without you, until the
lease runs out, and a new heaven and a new earth takes its
place. However, until then, the responsibility is ours to tame
and subdue this world.
Look at it this way: God wants us healthy and sound,
and stated it as His desire for us. 3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in
health, even as thy soul prospereth.” Yet, in James 5:16, He
said, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for
another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer
of a righteous man availeth much.”
Why is that? Why does He want us to pray for one
another so that we may be healed? Why doesn’t He just
heal us? It’s because He needs the right to take action on
our behalf; so, He charged us to pray. Therefore, take your
place as a joint heir with Christ and fulfil your purpose here
on earth. Read Romans 8:19-21; it puts it in perspective:
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made
subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath
subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also
shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the
glorious liberty of the children of God.” He needs you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your
power and ability vested in me
to run this world. I’m your seed,
prolonging your days here on
earth. Therefore, I fulfil my divine
responsibility of bringing men
and women into their inheritance
in Christ, through the Gospel, in

Know Your Purpose In Him
…To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into
the world… (John 18:37).

“Is it so easy for one to find out His purpose on earth

from the Lord?” someone might ask. Emphatically yes! He’s a
master communicator. If you’d ask Him about His purpose for
your life, He’ll talk to you in a language that you’d understand;
He’ll lead you in life into that which He has called you to be.
All you have to say is “Lord, guide my spirit; I want to be all
that you want me to be; lead me into that which you have
chosen me for.” Then, follow your spirit, as He leads you.
There’re times that the Spirit of God could strengthen
your heart towards something or against a particular thing.
That’s an indication of His guidance in your spirit. When He
strengthens your heart against a particular thing, it may not
necessarily be because that thing is wrong, but because the
timing might be wrong. Nonetheless, if you’d listen to Him in
your spirit and follow the Word, you’ll walk in His perfect will
always. He’ll make you a success at every level of your life.
Perhaps you were wondering and thinking what new
investments to undertake, what new frontiers to chart or what
business to embark on. Listen to Him in your spirit and He’ll
guide you aright. Often, we say any project, business or vision
that’s good for people and glorifies God is okay; but that’s
in the general class. There’re specific things that are peculiar
to you as a person; which means even though such may be
good for God and good for people, God may not want you
particularly to go into it.
This is the reason you must find out your purpose in
Him and know for yourself what direction to take in fulfilling
the destiny that He has for you. That’s why we learn the
Word of God, and get the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in
our lives. The more you recognize His voice within your spirit,
understand His Word, and live by it, the clearer His voice will
be within you for everything in life. That way, you’ll never be
confused about what to do, where to go etc.; you’d become
the revelation of God’s will in your daily walk.
PRAYER
Blessed Father, thank you for
leading me in the paths of
success, victory, and rest by the
Holy Spirit, who is my all. I’m
completely yielded to Him as He
leads me to make accurate
decisions, and walk in the center
of your perfect will, always, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Maintaining Inspiration
Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and
burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11
AMP).

Onemeditating
of the striking benefits of prevailing prayer and
on the Word is that they help you
maintain the fire of the Spirit. The only way I’ve kept my spirit
aglow for so many years is through prevailing prayer, and
consciously setting my mind to meditate on the Word. It
doesn’t matter what you’ve studied or known about God; it
doesn’t even matter what blessings you receive from the
Lord; if you’re not a praying person, you’ll lose the spiritual
fervour or glow that comes with the Word.
There’s something about the Word of God that has
power. It’s not in the words and how they sound; it’s not
even in the message itself that it communicates; no. It’s in the
power of the Spirit that’s wrapped up in it. Recall what we
read in our opening verse: The Moffat’s translation uses the
phrase, “Maintain the glow,” for “fervent in Spirit.” There’s a
glow of the Spirit in your life that you must maintain through
fellowship with the Lord in prayer and meditation on the
Word.
Something that meditation does for you is that it drives
the Word deep into your spirit and causes it to mingle with
your spirit. So, when you study the Word of God, meditate on
it; that means, mutter it! When you read or hear the Word, as
the case may be, say it aloud to yourself repeatedly so that it
gains the ascendancy in your spirit until it becomes a part of
you. Then the glory of it will be manifested in your life.
Prayer, on the other hand, is equally very impactful
on your spirit. The importance of prayer isn’t so much about
the answer that you receive when you pray, but the impact
your fellowship with the Lord in prayer has on your spirit; it
causes your spirit to glow. Every time you pray, your spirit
becomes even more glorious than it was before you began
praying. That glory is retained in your inner man and then
you find yourself walking in the paths of destiny; you find
yourself being at the right place, at the right time, doing the
right things.
Be aglow in the Spirit, through prayer and study of the
Word!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the
power of your Word and prayer
on my spirit. Your Word builds
me up, and causes me to walk
in your perfect will always. And
when I pray, I’m transfigured; my
inner man is built up like an
edifice, higher and higher, and
my spirit is glorified. I’m aglow
with the Spirit, serving the Lord,

The Fullness Of The Blessings
Of The Gospel
And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come
in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ
(Romans 15:29).

Could this be possible in the earth? Can a man have,

and walk in the fullness of the blessing of the
Gospel? Emphatically yes! We just read it. Paul, as he planned
his missionary journey to the Roman Christians, via Spain, was
convinced he’d be carrying in him, and with him, the fullness
of the blessing of the Gospel. This is extraordinary. It
completely debunks the erroneous and religious belief that as
long as we’re in the earth, we can never have the fullness of
God’s blessing.
It’s important for us to understand the greatness and
infinite wisdom and power of almighty God; He’s the author
and creator of “fullness.” This was what gave the Apostle Paul
the audacity of faith to make such a bold declaration of the
Word. He walked in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel
of Christ, and hoped to visit the Christians in Rome to impart
the same to them.
What does this mean to you even now? Are you aware
that you can, and should, walk in the fullness of the blessings
of the Gospel of Christ? The very thought of it, the
understanding of it will completely revolutionize your life.
Consider Peter; He also understood this and functioned
accordingly. No wonder he declared that we’re associates of
the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4); we belong in God’s class, and
should therefore live with this consciousness.
John, writing to the Church, said, “Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that
is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). These
men understood what it meant to walk in the fullness of the
blessings of the Gospel of Christ; they knew what Christ had
made us and they spoke and lived accordingly. The Bible says,
“Of His fulness,” talking about Christ, “have we all received…”
(John 1:16). You received the fullness of God’s blessing when
you received Christ, because Christ is EVERYTHING! Walk in
this light, for the fullness of God is in Christ, who is in you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the
revelation of your Word to me;
my life is improved! I’m a
partaker of the divine nature. I
live in the fullness of the blessings
of the Gospel of Christ. I’m joined
to the Lord and that makes me
impregnable and more than a
conqueror, winning every day by
your grace, in Jesus’ Name.

Neutralize The Adversary!
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
(2 Corinthians 10:4).

Sometimes in our walk of faith, we encounter

circumstances that pose some serious challenges to
our faith. It could be in the area of church growth. For
instance, maybe as a pastor, you’ve done everything you
thought you should do and applied all the strategies you
know of, yet your church is not growing. Now, you’re thinking
what next to do.
At such a time, it’s important to look at things from the
spiritual perspective and realize that there’s an adversary who
is all out to oppose the Gospel and God’s children. Ephesians
6:10-11 says, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and
in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
The wiles of the devil refer to the stratagems of the devil, the
“lying in wait” of the devil. The Apostle Paul, here, wants you
to know that there’s an enemy that’s lying in wait, strategizing
against you, and against the Church.
But to counter this enemy, he tells you to put on the
whole armour of God. Why? It’s because he knows that if you
don’t put on the whole armour of God, you’ll be vulnerable.
Verse 12 of the same chapter goes on to say, “For we wrestle
not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Now, something
about this wrestling is that it’s not just a fight as in physical
combat; rather, it’s the adversary trying to sway you from the
right path through deception. The only way you win in this
kind of battle is to do what the Word says. Resist him.
James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Revelation 12:11
also shows us how to resist, neutralize, and put the adversary
to flight. It says , “And they overcame him by the blood of
the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved
not their lives unto the death.” So, no matter what the enemy
throws at you, neutralize him by standing strong on your faith
in the blood of Jesus and by the word of your testimony. That
blood reconciled us to God, gave us life, cleanses us from
all sin, and it’s on the mercy seat before God in heaven. The
word of your testimony, which refers to your testimony of
God, is really your faith’s proclamation of the Word at work.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I give you
thanks for the opportunity to be
blessed by your precious Word
today. I’m not ignorant of Satan’s
devices, and I refuse to fall prey
to them. Through my faith in the
precious blood of Jesus and by

You’re Extraordinary
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the
Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all
things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).

Have you ever imagined the fact that the creator of

the universe resides in you, in His totality? The
Holy Spirit beautified the heavens. The Bible says, “By his
spirit he hath garnished the heavens…” (Job 26:13). This
awesome Third Person of the Godhead made everything in
the universe; yet, He chose to live in you. Think about it. 1
Corinthians 3:16 states clearly that you’re the temple of God,
and that the Holy Spirit lives in you. Have you ever
considered why? It’s because you’re important to the Father.
God made it so, for the Holy Spirit to live in you,
because you’re important to Him and He wants you to be just
like Him. He gave you His Spirit — the same Spirit He has —
to live in you and make you fulfilled in life and full of joy, such
that anything you get involved with will be full of glory; so you
can be a success in anything and everything.
As a child of God, you’re the unveiling of the person
of the Holy Spirit. He expresses Himself through you. He
talks to you, and also talks through you. He leads and guides
you; yet, He moves you; He propels you in the way that you
should go: the way of righteousness. He’s such a unique and
awesome personality. If you’re born again, be glad about the
Holy Spirit; He’s the beauty of Christianity. He’s the glory of
your life. Acknowledge this about Him always, and live with
that consciousness.

His Liquid Love
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then,
being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through him (Romans 5:8-9).

Thethought:
message of Jesus Christ is encapsulated in one
It’s about His liquid love, His life,
forgiveness and righteousness. His love is liquid because it
flows. The Bible talks about the love that the Father poured
out lavishly—like water upon all men—through Christ Jesus.
Such extraordinary love did He express and direct towards us,
that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. He didn’t die
for us because we were living right; no. He did it while we
were yet sinners. That’s love indescribable; liquid-love
extraordinaire.
When you understand this about Jesus, about His life,
who He is, and the fact that He gave His life to save you, then
you’ll understand what God thinks about you; how He values
you. His vicarious death defines your value. He thought you
were worth His life; so He gave His life in your place. This
shows that you’re as valuable to the Father as Jesus is. No
wonder the Lord Jesus, pouring out His heart to the Father in
prayer, wanted the world to know that the Father has loved
us even as He had loved Him (John 17:23).
How inspiring it is to know that Jesus gave His life,
so that you may have it. The life you ought to live now
should be the life of the Son of God; live His dream. Paul
boldly declared in Galatians 2:20: “I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the
life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of
God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Living by the
faith of the Son of God means you’re living His dream; you’re
living what He saw and thought that you could be, for which
reason He died for you! What He saw in His mind about you:
What He thought, what he wanted; His dream of what you
could be!
Don’t live a lesser life. Live God’s dream, remembering
His liquid love towards you. He thought you were valuable
and special, wanted you, and gave Himself for you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for
lavishly pouring out your love on
me, demonstrating that I’m worth
the life of your Son Jesus.
Therefore, I’m motivated to reach
out to sinners and win them to
Christ. I’m compelled by your
love to preach the Gospel to
them, and turn them from sin
unto righteousness, and from the
power of Satan unto you, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen. 1 YEAR BIBLE

Make Your Tongue Your Tree
Of Life
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness
therein is a breach in the spirit (Proverbs 15:4).

Using your mouth rightly is a vital key that unlocks

the blessings of salvation in your life! Stressing the
importance of this, 1 Peter 3:10-11 says, “For he that will love
life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil,
and his lips that they speak no guile.” Though your tongue is
small, it controls everything in your life; with it, you can chart
your course in righteousness, dominion, success, and
prosperity. There’s no situation that can’t be changed, and no
wound in your body that can’t be healed, if you’d make your
tongue your own tree of life by declaring God’s Word over
your life and situation.
The word, “wholesome” in our opening verse is
translated from the Hebrew word, “marpe,” which means
healing and health. A “wholesome” tongue, therefore, is a
tongue that’s curative, a fountain of life, because it’s filled with
the Word of God!
Speak God’s Word; speak health, wellness, and life to
your body; that’s what your mouth is for. Your mouth wasn’t
given to you merely for eating and drinking; its greater use
is for controlling your life. Your present position in life is the
result of your “mouth-work.” Matthew 12:37 says, “For by thy
words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be
condemned,” letting you know that you’re to regulate your
life with your tongue: What you say is what you get!
Often times, there’re those who wonder why the
circumstances of their lives, and their experiences, don’t seem
to align with the wonderful blessings and provisions of the
Gospel, despite being born again for several years. The reason
for this dilemma is that they haven’t made their tongue their
own tree of life.
You can be anything you want to be, have anything
you want to have, and achieve anything you want to achieve
within God’s perfect will. The key is in regulating your life with
your tongue, making your tongue your own tree of life!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your
grace that has brought salvation
to my spirit. With my mouth, I
keep on proclaiming that all the
blessings of salvation—health,
prosperity, safety, wellness and
wholeness—consummated by the
death, burial and resurrection of
Jesus Christ, are my present-hour
possessions and vital realities of
my daily existence, in Jesus’
Name. Amen. 1 YEAR BIBLE

Victory Assured
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might
have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

Having given your heart to Christ, if you suddenly

found that you’re being buffeted by all kinds of
temptations, persecutions, and trials, don’t cower or allow
your faith to dissipate. In the face of such daunting challenges,
and seemingly overwhelming oppositions, declare, “I’m more
than a conqueror!”
Remember what the Word says: “Yea, and all that will
live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Timothy
3:12). So when adversities come, don’t gripe; rather, maintain
your composure because your victory is assured. The Lord
Jesus made it clear that we would face tribulations, challenges
and difficulties, and no one should be ignorant of that.
Nevertheless, He assures us of victory all the way.
Isaiah 43:2 tells us, “When thou passest through the
waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall
not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou
shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”
Notice He didn’t say there’ll not be trouble, no; but that it’ll
be of none effect.
Recall the testimony of the three Hebrew boys in
Daniel chapter 3: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They
were thrown into the fiery furnace; yet they came out of the
raging inferno unscathed. Before their glorious deliverance,
there was condemnation, rejection, false accusation, and
hatred. So the story wasn’t only about their miraculous
deliverance from fire, but also about the storm they
weathered hitherto.
There’re things you might have to go through in life,
as you carry out the ministry that the Lord has given to you;
endure such with hope, confident that victory is assured. The
Apostle Paul, attesting to this, writes, “We are troubled on
every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in
despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not
destroyed…” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).
There’re adversaries on every side but in the midst of
them all, the Word of God puts you over. Therefore, refuse to
fear, for the Lord is with you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for
leading me always to triumph,
and helping me win every day,
against every odd or adversity. I
exercise my authority in Christ,
over all the ability of the enemy,
and I’m victorious now and
always, in the Name of Jesus.
Amen.

Synchronize Your Believing
With Your Confession
…For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation
(Romans 10:9-10).

“Ibelieve what the Word says about my healing,

prosperity, and victories; but I’m not experiencing
them in my life. Oh God, why?” While this very statement
rages in the minds of many, yet, the opening scripture gives a
clear and unambiguous answer. Recall what we studied a
couple of days ago: Making your tongue your own tree of life.
Your “tongue-work,” which is your response to the Word, is
so important.
Understand this: believing makes you right with God,
and that’s wonderful, but that’s not enough; you have to
make confessions of that which you’ve believed. With your
heart, you believe what God has said, but with your mouth
you repeat, reiterate, re-echo what He has said; that’s what
catapults you into the realms of what you have believed. Thus,
to be saved, you don’t stop at believing God raised Jesus from
the dead; no! You have to confess the Lordship of Jesus over
your life.
Your believing and your talking must come together;
otherwise, you might think the reason things are working
out right for others is because they’re more specially gifted
than you are; but no! They’ve only learnt, and are applying,
the principle of synchronizing their believing with their
confessions. Act on the Word; make bold declarations about
yourself on the basis of what God has said concerning you in
His Word: “He has said, that you may boldly say…” (Hebrews
13:5-6). If you believe what He has said, say the same thing
with your mouth.
For example, 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath
made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be
made the righteousness of God in him.” Believe it, but don’t
stop there. Say the same thing because you agree with Him.
Until you make that confession, and allow that truth take a
hold of your spirit, you’ll not walk in the realms of what you’ve
believed; the vital experience of righteousness will elude you.
So, in faith, you must synchronize your believing with your
confessions.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for
giving me your Word and for
showing me by your Spirit, the
quality of life that you’ve called
me to live. I believe in the finished
works of Christ, and through my
faith-filled confessions, I’m

heritage in Christ, in Jesus’ Name.

Privileged By His Grace
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the
fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord (1
Corinthians 1:9).

Isn’t it amazing that you’re called of God, and are

given extraordinary participation in His Gospel
programme? It’s such a high and noble calling. None of us
“qualified” to be a part of it, except that Christ Jesus gave us
the grace and accepted us: “To the praise of the glory of his
grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved”
(Ephesians 1:6). How wonderful this is! It’s something you
ought to be eternally grateful for, because no one has the
personal qualification to do anything in the Kingdom of God;
it’s a glorious privilege to be called into fellowship with Him,
and also carry out the ministry of reconciliation.
Remember that God is so great; He’s beyond our
imagination; on our own, we couldn’t even approach Him.
Think about this: the Jewish Rabbis who copied the Scriptures,
had to wash or bath whenever they got to the Name of
God, as a purification routine, before proceeding to write
the Name. Each time they needed to write His Name, they
repeated the same cleansing ritual, because they highly
regarded His holiness.
But you know, it doesn’t matter how many times you
deep yourself in water; that’s not what cleanses you. That’s
why Jesus came to give us a new life, because it makes no
difference how many drums of water you wash yourself with,
it’ll never wash your spirit. And we didn’t need a washing
of our spirit; we needed a washing of regeneration, and
renewing of the Holy Ghost (Titus 3:5). That’s what Jesus
accomplished for us.
Therefore, be grateful to God, for giving you
responsibilities in His Kingdom; you’re privileged to be His
partner in soul-winning, to be a part of His agenda in the
earth. Therefore, put your best into whatever He’s called you
to do. Put your best into serving Him. Serve Him with your
spirit and function in love. Let love become your language,
your message, way of life, and daily expression.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for
counting me faithful putting me
into the ministry. With my heart, I
serve you diligently and faithfully,
and daily express your love and
undying affection to the hurting,
bringing them into the fountain of
your love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Spiritual Understanding
Through The Word
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not
cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled
with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding (Colossians 1:9).

There’s such a thing as spiritual understanding; but

sadly, many lack this important spiritual virtue. Many
actually function in human, worldly, or carnal understanding.
When you talk with such people, you can understand why
they reason differently; they only think from the world’s
perspective, because they lack spiritual understanding.
Spiritual understanding comes by the Holy Spirit, and is
granted you through the Word.
In our opening scripture, the word “understanding” is
translated from the Greek “Sunesis.” It’s an interpretation; a
way of thinking; a mentality. So, the Apostle Paul, in that
verse, was dealing with a certain kind of understanding—a
revelatory understanding—which the Word of God gives us!
This is why you need to stay in God’s Word, studying,
learning, and making sure you understand it! This will give you
the personality that God wants you to have. It’ll make you
spiritually sagacious, insightful, discerning and wise.
Another beautiful part of this is that God isn’t just
raising us for this world; all that He’s doing in us—His
programming in us through the Word—is for the ages to
come. So, if you don’t have spiritual understanding, insight
into the realities of the Kingdom while you’re still in the
earth, how are you going to function in the world to come?
Therefore, it’s important you study the Scriptures with
excitement; have a voracious appetite for the Word. Some
people may be baffled, wondering why you’re so sold-out
to the Word; let them know it’s because God’s Word is
everything.
With the Word in you, it doesn’t matter what you
desire in this world; you can get it! God’s ultimate desire isn’t
to give you a house, a car, a job, or money; what He wants
is His Word in your spirit, because with that, you can get or
create anything.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the
precious gift of the Holy Spirit
who grants me spiritual insight,
and sets me on the right course
in life. I walk in righteousness and
dominion, having insight into
mysteries and secrets of your

“Worthy Of Him…And Fruitful
In Every Good Work”
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not
cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled
with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord
unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and
increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10).

ThisApostle
is so powerful. The Holy Spirit inspired the
Paul to pray this prayer for the Colossian
Church. Notice the purpose of this beautiful, Spirit-inspired
prayer: “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all
pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in
the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10).
This is God’s desire: He wants you to walk worthy of
Him, pleasing Him in all things. That means when people see
you, or are listening to you, they’ll testify of His goodness,
because you’ve become the expression and testimony of His
grace, greatness and love; the expression of His beauty. The
Lord Jesus said something that buttresses this in John 15:5;
He said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches….” We’re His
extension, His beauty, and His glory.
The glory of a tree is in its branches. So if Jesus says
He’s the vine and we’re the branches, He’s therefore saying
His glory is seen in, and borne by, us. So everywhere you
go, you’re showing forth His glory, pleasing Him in all things,
and fruitful in every good work. It doesn’t matter what’s been
assigned to you to do; you can be productive, effective and
fruitful in that assignment. It’s part of our heritage in Christ.
When we get involved in anything, it comes out right; growth,
increase, progress and prosperity sets in. If that thing was a
wilderness before we came, it becomes a “fruitful field,” and
the fruitful field becomes a “forest.” Halleluiah!
You’re not ordinary; when you arrive in a place, Christ
has arrived! That’s the reason you can be fruitful in every
good work. When you’re given a responsibility, or an official
assignment, don’t say, “I don’t understand why I’m being
asked to do this”; no! Don’t think or talk that way! Rather, see
yourself as the right candidate for the job, and go ahead to
make it a success.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for I’m
your extension, your beauty and
your glory. I will walk worthy of
you always, pleasing you in all
things, and fruitful in every good
work, in the Name of the Lord
Jesus. Amen.

Reigning By Grace
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much
more they which receive abundance of grace and of the
gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus
Christ (Romans 5:17).

While there’re many Christians today who are

reigning in life and enjoying their glorious
heritage in Christ, there’re still those who’re whining, crying,
pleading and begging God for everything; toiling and failing,
and this ought not to be. As seen in our opening verse, we’re
not called to reign by our strength, but by grace through Jesus
Christ; we’re sufficient in His sufficiency (2 Corinthians 3:5
AMP). Halleluiah!
Refuse to live as a victim in life; you’re called to reign.
The word “reign” in our opening verse actually means “to
king.” The Greek construction is accurately rendered thus:
“…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness shall king in life, by one, Jesus Christ.” You’re
supposed to be “kinging” in life. This is what some of us have
found out; we’ve received abundance of grace, and the gift
of righteousness, and as a result, we’re “kinging” in life; we’re
living the life of dominion.
Sadly, some people look at us and think we must be
doing something strange or wrong for our lives to be so
glorious; but how could something wrong produce something
so excellent? We’ve only taken advantage of the
superabundant grace that’s available in Christ Jesus.
We’ve all been given grace in abundance: the grace
of God that brings salvation—wholeness, preservation, health,
peace, deliverance, safety, security, prosperity—and all the
blessings in Christ Jesus, has appeared unto all men (Titus
2:11). However, the question is, “Have you received that
grace?” It’s those who have “received abundance of grace”
that’ll reign in life.
This informs why the Apostle Paul charged Timothy
to take advantage of the grace of God that’s in Christ Jesus
(2 Timothy 2:1). Become grace-conscious. Grace is the
overflowing of God’s ability at work in your life; it’s the glory
of God working in your spirit. The grace of God in your life
brought about eternal life, righteousness, and oneness with
the Holy Spirit. The Bible says, “…he giveth more grace…”
(James 4:6); meaning that there’s grace for everything and
anything; whatever God has called you to do, there’s more
than enough grace for it. Therefore, live in, and by, the “grace
advantage.”
CONFESSION
I thank you blessed Lord, for your
grace that’s at work in my spirit.

At Rest In Prosperity
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is
stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee (Isaiah 26:3).

Thisprosperity;
scripture gives us the key to a life of peace and
a life that’s at rest in prosperity. That
means you enter into it and stay in it; your life is maintained at
that realm. Many often ask what they should do so the power
of God may work on their behalf to ensure continuing peace
and prosperity. The answer is simple: focus your mind—your
attention, and emotions—on the Lord. It’s like focusing your
camera on a moving object. You have to do it with some
diligence and dexterity.
When your mind is focused on God’s Word, you’re
guaranteed to walk in peace and prosperity. Your mind is a
powerful tool given to you by God for transforming your life
from glory to glory. If you’d give the right attention to the
Word, it makes no difference the storms that billow against
you, you’ll be at rest; your prosperity will not be shaken,
despite economic downturns, meltdowns or inflation. The
Lord Himself will keep you in “perfect peace.”
The Hebrew word for “peace” in Isaiah 26:3 is
“shalom,” which describes the “rest” of God, wherein is
prosperity, health, strength, and salvation. You can be as
prosperous, successful, and healthy as you ever want to be;
the key is yielding your mind to God’s Word. Your mind is the
door to your spirit. If you can get the Word of God into your
system, there’s nothing you can’t achieve. That’s the secret of
the miraculous, and supernatural.
Keep your focus on God’s Word, and divine peace and
prosperity will be your experience.
CONFESSION
I walk in prosperity, victory, and
health because I live in God’s
Word. I’m literally transfigured
into the image that I see in the
Word, as I meditate and yield my
mind to the tutelage of the Word.
Therefore, my attitude, mindset
and belief systems are
transformed, and my life and

There’s More To Righteousness
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master,
what shall I do to inherit eternal life? And Jesus said
unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save
one, that is, God (Luke 18:18-19).

Aside being a gift that we received, there’s more to

righteousness. The righteousness of God is also
about the goodness of God—His equity. In our opening
scripture, Jesus was trying to explain to the rich young ruler
about the “goodness” of God, because goodness is about
righteousness, rightness, or right judgment.
How can you judge what’s right? How can you judge
which way is right, and which way to go in life? How do you
differentiate what’s right from what’s wrong? How do you
distinguish what has glory from what has shame? How do you
decide what’s of God from what’s not of God? How do you
determine that which is godly? That’s righteousness!
What does it mean to walk in the righteousness of
God? For example, in judging issues and situations, you’re not
looking for who’s right or who’s wrong; you side-up with His
Word! You’re on one side—God’s side of righteousness. Your
life becomes beautiful, because you look at the world from
the standpoint of God’s righteousness, not man’s opinion.
Think about living your life like that: Everybody is
thinking in a certain way, seeing and appraising things from
the human perspective, but you’re seeing from, and with, the
eyes of God; that’s the beauty and power of righteousness.
If you would understand the righteousness of God, it would
take away such base things as envy, wrath, malice, anger etc.;
all of such demeaning vices will be out of your life, when you
don’t see with the eyes of men, but with the eyes of God.
When you consciously live this way, there’ll be an
awesome force—a love-attraction in your life that pulls people
to you; there’s something about the righteousness of God that
captivates men. Recall that we said; it’s about His goodness;
when you function in righteousness, you become the epitome
of God’s goodness: the expression and representation of how
good God is.
PRAYER
Thank you Lord for the gift of
righteousness bestowed upon
me. Now, I have your
righteousness, which causes me
to be always right, manifesting
your goodness, nature, grace,
and kindness, to my world, seeing
things from your perspective, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You Have All Things In Him
For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans
6:23).

Theof thestatement above reiterates a fundamental truth

Gospel—the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ. However, as you get higher in the understanding
of the Gospel, you discover that He really doesn’t stand away
and give you eternal life; He is eternal life. So, He actually
gave you Himself.
1 Corinthians 3:21 says, “...all things are yours” ; this is
so because all things are in Christ, and He’s in you. Therefore,
you have all things in Him. When you come to this realization,
it’ll change your thinking and prayer life; you won’t need
to be asking God for things, because He already gave you
everything! He already gave you Himself.
Now you can better appreciate why Jesus said, “...take
no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the
body, what ye shall put on” (Luke 12:22). This means, “Don’t
bother about anything!” Everything good that you could ever
imagine is already yours in Christ. His Word says, “According
as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness…” (2 Peter 1:3).
God has given you the key to all things, because you’re
His heir (Romans 8:17). Hence, there’s no need asking or
“begging” Him for anything. If there’re things you think you’re
in need of, once you identify them, take possession in your
spirit. The Bible says He has set eternity in your heart—in your
spirit (Ecclesiastes 3:11). This means there’s no limit to the
extent and reach of what you can possess with your spirit.
You have the capacity to contain eternity itself, in your spirit.
Now think about this: If eternity can dwell in your
heart, much less the whole world! No wonder the Word says
out of our hearts are the issues of life; meaning that you can
bring forth anything you want from within your spirit.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for
giving me all things in Christ
Jesus. I cast all my cares upon
you and lay all burdens down at
your feet! I rejoice, knowing that
you’ve supplied all my needs
according to your riches in glory
by Christ Jesus. I live in
abundance today, and always,
celebrating your goodness in my
life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“Make Things Happen!”
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth
me (Philippians 4:13).

ThegoodLordto happen
once said to me, “I don’t want something
to you, and I don’t want something
bad to happen either.” He said, “If you’re still living at that
realm where you still think something good is going to
happen to you, then you’re not living a mature Christian life.”
So I asked, “What then is going to happen, since I should
expect neither good things nor bad things to happen to me?”
Then He said, “Make things happen”; “You happen!”
Think about it: Could anything good or bad ever
happen to God? Did you ever read in the Scriptures that God
was happy because something good “happened” to Him? Or
that He was sad because something bad happened to Him?
He doesn’t function in such a realm. He makes things happen.
In the same way, you’re a child of God, made in His image,
born after His kind; you belong in His class. So, you shouldn’t
have anything “happening” to you; instead, you should be the
one happening.
Satan, the adversary, may come around and try to
make things “happen” to you but the Bible says you should
resist the devil and he’ll flee (James 4:7). He can try all he
wants to, but he’s no match for you; you’re superior to him;
therefore, he can’t make anything “happen” to you. It doesn’t
matter how many demons are roaming around, trying to stir
your nest; they’re not a factor; you have authority over them
all in the Name of Jesus.
Being born again, you have the ability of Christ in you
to determine what you want in your life. Therefore, never
allow yourself to be a victim of circumstances. Keep reigning
in life. Apply faith in God’s Word to deal with situations
and challenges. Subdue, tame, and rule your world for Jesus
Christ. Keep making things happen in the Kingdom of God.
CONFESSION
The ability of God is at work in
me; I’m sufficient in His
sufficiency. I make great and
glorious things happen in my life,
in God’s kingdom, and in the lives
of others, to the glory of Jesus
Christ. I’m alive to God, fruitful
and productive by the power of
the Holy Spirit! Halleluiah!

Grace Makes All The Difference
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace
which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I
laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the
grace of God which was with me (1 Corinthians 15:10).

ThegraceApostle Paul in the verse above celebrates the

of God that was upon his life. From the
human point of view, he never would have qualified to be an
apostle. Nonetheless, he became such an outstanding apostle
who laboured for the Gospel more than all the other apostles.
He acknowledged the grace of God as the one factor that
made all the difference in his life.
It brings to mind the encounter between Gideon and
the angel of the Lord in the sixth chapter of Judges. The angel
appeared to him and said, “…The LORD is with thee, thou
mighty man of valour…Go in this thy might, and thou shalt
save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent
thee?” (Judges 6:12-14). Gideon, evaluating himself from the
natural standpoint, didn’t believe he was a mighty man of
valour; he considered the weak position of his family and
said, “…Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my
family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s
house” (Judges 6:15).
However, the grace of God made all the difference in
his life. God said to him, “Surely I will be with thee, and thou
shalt smite the Midianites as one man” (Judges 6:16). Don’t
look at your perceived physical inadequacies; trust in His
ability. All that Gideon needed was to believe God’s Word,
and be confident in God’s grace upon his life; thank God he
eventually did, and as a result, he was mightily used of God to
accomplish the deliverance of Israel from the Midianites.
God might have impressed it in your heart to do
something for Him, and contrary thoughts may have been
rising in your heart, making you feel you don’t have what it
takes. But you need to realize that you have already been
granted grace in superabundance (Romans 5:17). All you
need do is to trust in God’s ability and walk in the light of His
grace.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for
blessing me so richly with your
Word; I acknowledge your grace
that’s at work in me, and I take
advantage of it in advancing your
Kingdom, taking my role as your
partner in soul-winning, in Jesus’
Name. Amen.

The Expression Of The
Christ-life!
To whom God would make known what is the riches of
the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Christianity is the unveiling of Christ in you. It’s the

outworking of the Word of God in a human
person. The Christian, essentially, is the expression of the
Word of God; the image of the Word, such that every step
you take, and all the things you do are the outworkings of the
Word of God. That’s what Jesus was when He walked the
earth; He was the unveiling of the Word: “And the Word was
made flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14). He was the
manifestation of God; the express image of His person!
Now that you’re in Christ, you’re the express image of
Christ. You’re Christ alive in your world today! In your family,
work place, neighbourhood, city, and country—in that place
where you are—you’re the Christ that they see. Therefore, the
words you speak, the life you live, the way you do the things
you do, should express the Christ-life. When people look at
you, they should see the glory of the new creation.
You’re a God-carrying vessel; you make manifest the
savour of His knowledge and glory in every place (2
Corinthians 2:14). His presence is evident in your words and
deeds; He manifests His love, power, compassion, and grace
to the world today through you. Carry this consciousness with
you every day, that Christ is alive in you, blessing lives, and
changing generations.
God’s dream for your life is that Christ will express
Himself through you; and that’s true success—the image of
Christ in you—how much His personality and character are
revealed through you. Your goal, therefore, should be to
be more and more like Him; talking like Him, and relating
to others like Him. Everything you do should be about the
manifestation of Christ in you—His excellence expressed
through you, for you’re His living tabernacle.
CONFESSION
My life is the expression of the
glory of Christ; He’s unveiled in
me to my world today! The divine
life is manifested through me, and
I bring others into this life through
the Gospel. I live in the
consciousness of my divine life
and origin in Christ, knowing that
His wisdom, ability, and power
are working in, and through me,
in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Why Still The “God Of Jacob”?
And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say
unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the
God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for
ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations
(Exodus 3:15).

Theinterested
Bible shows us quite clearly that God is very
in the meaning of names. Hence, He
changed the name of Abram (exalted father) to Abraham
(father of many), and Jacob (deceiver) to Israel, meaning a
prince. However, you’d notice that even after changing
Jacob’s name to Israel, he still introduced Himself to Moses as
the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Why still the God of
Jacob, since He had changed the man’s name to Israel? After
all, He didn’t say, “I’m the God of Abram,” but “the God of
Abraham.”
The reason is that God was at the time concerned
about the attitude of Israel as a nation. The people of Israel at
that time acted in a manner that wasn’t consistent with God’s
will for them. They acted in a way that depicted them as not
different from other nations, and whenever they so acted, He
called them Jacob. However, when they acted according to
His Word, He called them Israel. Israel means a prince of
power with God, whereas Jacob means swindler or deceiver.
Thus, in saying, “I’m the God of Jacob,” instead of Israel, He
lets us know that irrespective of Israel’s behaviour, He was still
their God, and remained faithful to them.
It reveals something about the character of God: He’s
faithful to us even when we’re not. He doesn’t change His
character because of your character and behaviour. Whether
you act like “Jacob” or you act like “Israel,” His Word
concerning you is steadfast: He has loved you with an
everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3); He’s already accepted you
as His very own (Ephesians 1:6). He doesn’t turn His back on
you just because you erred.
God’s promises and blessings are not for you because
you have acted like “Israel”; they’re yours because you’re
in Christ. However, He expects you to be steadfast and
unmovable, with unshakable faith in His Word.
PRAYER
I thank you precious Father, for
your unwavering faithfulness
towards me; I’m safe and secure
in your eternal love, confident
that you’ll never leave me nor
forsake me. Thank you for being
my ever-present help in time of
need; I love you with all my heart,
in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“Take No Thoughts”
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
known unto God (Philippians 4:6).

Thoughts come to us all the time. Even now, your

mental receptacle system is working, and myriads of
signals are coming through your mind. Your mind could be
processing something that happened in the past, or
something you’re expecting to happen in future. You could
even be thinking about a loved one, your office, your
car…anything; right now.
When thoughts rush at us like that, the tendency is for
us to “take” one or more of such thoughts, and ruminate or
brood over them. This leads to worry, and God never wants
us to worry; rather, He wants us to be “careful for nothing….”
The word, “careful” is from the Greek “Merimnao,” which
means, “to take thought,” to be anxious about, or center your
mind in such a way as to be concerned and distracted. When
you “take” thoughts, that is, allow yourself to be worried
over anything, those thoughts draw you away and get you
distracted. Therefore, when negative thoughts come to you,
trying to get your attention and pull you away, God says,
“Don’t take them!”
The Lord Jesus alluded to the same thing in Matthew
6:25-26; He said, “...take no thought (Merimnao) for your life,
what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your
body, what ye shall put on…. Behold the fowls of the air: for
they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feedeth them….” Don’t worry about
what you’re going to eat, drink, or wear. The people of the
world seek after these things, but your heavenly Father knows
you need them. Act like the birds; trust the Lord to take care
of you.
Instead of “taking thoughts,” tell the Lord what you
want, through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. He’s
big enough to take care of you; He knows exactly what you
need, which is the reason He’s made all things yours in Christ.
Have this consciousness; and when you do, the peace of
God, which passes all understanding, will garrison your heart
and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the
consolation, comfort, and
strength that I derive from your
Word! I refuse to worry or be
bothered about anything,
knowing that all my needs are
met in Christ! Thank you for

Perfect And Complete In Him!
I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever:
nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and
God doeth it, that men should fear before him
(Ecclesiastes 3:14).

Whatever God does is perfect and eternal. When

He made you, He made you perfect and it wasn’t
part of His plan for your kidneys, heart, lungs or any other
organ in your body to fail. He made you perfect and
complete, with nothing missing. No wonder the Word says
you’re complete in Him (Colossians 2:10).
Genesis 1:31 says, “And God saw every thing that he
had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening
and the morning were the sixth day.” Notice, it doesn’t say
everything that He had made was partially good; no! They
were very good; and you’re the cream, the best and most
sublime, of all that He created. He’s the only One who can tell
us about His creation, and we need to have the right mindset
about who we are and our heritage in Christ. If He has said
He made you perfect and complete, then that’s it! Believe it,
confess it, and live accordingly.
Colossians 4:12 tells us something beautiful; it says,
“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth
you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may
stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” Epaphras
was here interceding for the brethren and desired for them to
stand perfect and complete. The word, “perfect” is translated
from the Greek “teleios”; it actually means “maturity,” “a
completeness”; that is, being brought to full age. While the
word, “complete” in that same verse, means “pleroo” (Greek),
meaning “to be full,” and in need of nothing.
Thus, the Spirit’s prayer for the Church, through
Epaphras, is for us to become mature in the things of God,
and be full in such a way as to require nothing; it’s for us to be
whole, perfect, and sound. That’s the way Jesus was; He was
perfect and entire, wanting nothing. What a life! This is God’s
dream for you; live accordingly.
CONFESSION
I know who I am; I’m the seed
of Abraham! The world belongs
to me. I reign and rule over
circumstances by the power of
the greater One who lives in me!
He lives in my spirit, in my soul,
and in my body! No failure for
me, and no defeat on my path;
I’m moving from glory to glory!

When His Glory Overshadows
You
Therefore, we are buried with him by baptism into death:
that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the
glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life (Romans 6:4).

Luke 1:35 highlights for us the conception of Jesus in

the womb of Mary. It says, “And the angel answered
and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and
the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore
also that Holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called
the Son of God.” The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and
Jesus was conceived in her womb.
Our opening verse presents a similar scenario with
regard to His resurrection. It tells us that the Lord Jesus was
raised from the dead by the glory of the Father; the glory of
the Father here refers to the presence of the Holy Spirit. The
Holy Spirit overshadowed the “dead” body of Jesus, and life
came back to His body. Being born again, this same Holy
Spirit, the glory of the Father, has taken up His abode in your
spirit; He resides in you. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Know ye
not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you?” So, you don’t need to look for the glory of
God outside of you; He’s right in your heart.
Therefore, to enjoy the riches of His glory, all you need
do is look inwards and make contact with the glory in your
heart. Worshipping God connects you with the glory. When
you worship Him via singing, you connect your mouth with
your heart, and your spirit makes contact with His realm.
That connects you with the glory in your heart. The moment
this happens, the power of the Highest will overshadow you,
and miracles will follow. No sickness, disease or infirmity can
remain in your body when the glory of God overshadows you
that way!
CONFESSION
The glory of God is risen upon
me, and I manifest that glory
everywhere. The power, beauty,
and excellence of God resides in
my spirit; and through me, His
righteousness is established, and
His grace and love are revealed
to men. Today, and always, I
display the wonderful deeds and
perfections of Him who has
called me out of darkness into
glory and virtue! Blessed be God!

Propelled By Wisdom
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding (Proverbs 4:7).

Thedifference
Word of God is the wisdom of God. It makes no
how educated you are, how many books
you’ve read, or what you think you know in life, or about life;
if you don’t have the Word in you, you can’t function in the
wisdom of God. All you’d have is the wisdom of men, and the
wisdom of men can only take you some distance, because it’s
limited; but the wisdom of God will take you all the way. So,
you need the wisdom of God. Wisdom—the wisdom of
God—is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom (Proverbs
4:7).
With wisdom you have it made; you’re set up for a
life of endless victories and unlimited possibilities, where the
miraculous becomes your daily experience. For example, in
Exodus 14:16, God instructing Moses, said, “…lift thou up thy
rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and
the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst
of the sea.”
This was the wisdom of God in action. This beats
human imagination. The wisdom of man (science) can’t
accept that anyone could divide the sea, the Red Sea at that,
with a mere rod; but this was God’s science. He knew it’ll
work. He wasn’t “trying” to perform a miracle; He, in fact,
instructed Moses to do it, and Moses acted on His Word and
it produced result.
The Bible says, “The LORD giveth wisdom: out of
his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs
2:6). You can’t be more successful than the level of wisdom
that you have in you, and through God’s Word, wisdom
is not only imparted to your spirit, it’s also increased. Go
for wisdom today! God’s wisdom gives you an excellent
mindset, an excellent way of thinking and doing things. Then
you’ll find yourself making excellent decisions, and walking
in the perfect will of God. You’ll always be glad about your
decisions and choices because you’re propelled by wisdom
to be in the center of God’s will all the time.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I declare that your
wisdom is functioning in me
mightily and I’m excelling in good
judgment, having the right ideas
and making the right decisions,
always. I’m filled with the
knowledge of your will, in all
wisdom and spiritual
understanding, in Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

He Wants You Strengthened
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven
and earth is named, That he would grant you, according
to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might
by his Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:14-16).

TheourSpirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, prays in

opening verse, desiring that according to the
riches of God’s glory, you’d be strengthened with might in
your inner man—your spirit. This prayer is evidently the will of
God for you; He wants you invigorated with divine energy in
your spirit. Now, what should be your response to this?
Remember, the Spirit already prayed this prayer through the
Apostle Paul.
Your response, therefore, should be: “Thank you
blessed Father; I am strengthened with might in my inner
man by the Holy Ghost!” Make this declaration about yourself
repeatedly. Declare that you’re strong on the inside; you’re
invigorated with miracle-working ability. You may look weak
on the outside, but inside you is the strength of almighty
God. That means you’re up to any task; you can do anything.
Your abilities are unlimited. Nothing is impossible for you to
accomplish, because you’re sufficient in God’s sufficiency (2
Corinthians 3:5).
Make bold to say like Paul, “I can do all things through
Christ which strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). If you ever
feel weak inside, say, “God has granted me (call your name),
according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with
might by His Spirit in my inner man.” Having made the
declaration, don’t wait for something to happen outwardly
first, or a sign; receive it, because it’s God’s will revealed.
Then, function with the consciousness of one who has been
strengthened. That’s how you take advantage of God’s
provisions in the Gospel for your benefit.
CONFESSION
I thank you heavenly Father, for
the power of your Spirit in my
life! Even now, I’m strengthened
with might by the Holy Ghost in
my inner man! I can do all things
through Christ who energizes
and infuses me with
miracle-working ability! I’m

You’re Above All Things!
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be
the head over all things to the church (Ephesians 1:22).

1Corinthians 15:25, talking about the Lord Jesus,

says, “For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies
under his feet.” This isn’t about Jesus reigning in heaven;
rather, it’s about Him reigning in the earth. Legally, God has
put all things under the feet of Jesus (Ephesians 1:22). Isaiah
9:6 says, “…and the government shall be upon his shoulder….”
This is so powerful, because it introduces our connection to it.
If He had said, “and the government shall be upon His head,”
that would have meant the Lord Jesus, because He’s the head,
and we’re His body.
Therefore, the government being upon His shoulders
means His reign, His rulership and authority, is upon the
Church; its borne by us. Halleluiah! This means even if you
were the least in the Church—the last little toe of the
foot—you’re still above all things, because all things have been
placed under the feet of Jesus. This is a settled fact in heaven.
God already said so, and nothing can change it. The Lord
Jesus, through the Church, must reign over all things.
What this means is that in these last days, you’re
expected to arise, take up the arms of faith, and be
strengthened in the things of God. Speak the Word with
boldness and see it come to pass. The world and the fullness
thereof has been given to you. Therefore, be bold to possess
the earth, because the rulership is in your hands. Exercise
dominion and take charge of your life; command every
contrary storm to be calm in the Name of Jesus! Refuse to be
sick, poor, or defeated. Rule over circumstances.
CONFESSION
I’m what God says I am. Christ in
me is my victory and glory in this
life! I’m a member of His body, of
His flesh and of His bones, ruling,
reigning, and prevailing with
Christ over the world and
circumstances! Greater is He
that’s in me than he that’s in the
world.

Success Is Not Accidental
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;
but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou
mayest observe to do according to all that is written
therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).

Towhether
be a success in any field of human endeavour,
in business, politics or in some kind of
commerce, is not by accident. It must be prepared for; the
future belongs to those who prepare for it. The one who fails
to plan has most certainly planned to fail. That means nothing
just happens. You make things happen.
Many good things can happen for you along the path
of life without you necessarily preparing for them. But that’s
just like ripe oranges falling off the tree; the best ones don’t
fall like that all the time; you’ve got to pluck them off the
tree. For example, you didn’t wait for salvation to “fall” on
you. Though the Bible tells us the Lord Jesus consummated
the work of salvation on the Cross and made it available to
everyone, some people will still go to hell because they didn’t
accept it. That’s not God’s fault; it was a choice they made
not to accept it.
As a child of God, you’re the offspring of success,
because your heavenly Father is a success. Jesus Christ is a
success; you therefore, can’t be anything less. Success is your
birthright. However, just because you’ve got the genes of
success in you doesn’t mean you’re going to live up to your
calling. You’ve got to do something about it. You’ve got to
organize yourself for it. Plan for it and work towards it.
Success and failure are neither accidental nor
mysterious. If you consistently practise the principles of
success according to God’s Word, as recorded in our opening
verse, you’re guaranteed to experience good success in every
area of your life. On the other hand, the one who lives
without vision, purpose and a sense of direction, will certainly
experience failure in life. For many years, I’ve exceeded my
goals, and the reason is simple: I chose to win and applied
the principles of success. Success isn’t accidental, and it’s not
enough to hope for it; you make it happen and it’ll be so.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for
guiding me in the path of life and
leading me in the way of
supernatural success and
permanent prosperity. I make my
way prosperous and consistently
experience good success as I
meditate on the Word and speak
it forth with boldness, in Jesus’
Name, Amen.

Trees Of Righteousness!
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto
them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the
garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they
might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the
LORD, that he might be glorified (Isaiah 61:3).

TheandLordwasJesuscalled
was in the Synagogue on a certain day
up to read the Scriptures. He
opened to the book of Isaiah, read the scripture above, and
concluded by saying to the people: “…This day is this scripture
fulfilled in your ears” (Luke 4:21).
Today, that same scripture is fulfilled in us, the new
creation in Christ Jesus. The Lord has produced in each one
of us, trees of righteousness. We’re the planting of the Lord;
He planted us in His garden and has made us co-workers
with Him. 1 Corinthians 3:9 tells us, “…we are labourers
together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s
building.” Meaning as Christians, we’re God’s field; we’re His
garden, and in that field, there are trees and there are grasses.
Zechariah 10:1 says, “Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of
the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give
them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” Notice,
the rain is to be poured on every one grass, but we’re trees.
We’re in God’s farm yard as fellow labourers with God, as
trees of righteousness, producing other trees of righteousness.
So, when I, as a tree of righteousness, produce other
trees of righteousness and we become trees of righteousness,
we’re a fruitful field. And by the Holy Spirit, as we all continue
to multiply, we become a forest. The Lord Jesus, when He
read from Isaiah 61, said that scripture was fulfilled in His day.
Now, Jesus Christ is gone to heaven and we’re walking in His
shoes, in His steps. We’re the ones the Spirit of God is upon
today, and like Jesus spoke back then, we too can say today,
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD
hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them
that are bound.”
That’s our message to the world. He sent us with
the Holy Spirit to go and preach His message and bring
people out of bondage and out of darkness; to bind up the
brokenhearted. That’s what we do as trees of righteousness.
We bear fruits of righteousness.
CONFESSION
I’m a tree of righteousness,
planted by the Lord. No matter
how strong the contrary winds
blow, my life is unshakable,
because I’m firmly rooted in
Christ. I’ll never be discouraged
or disadvantaged because I’m the

PRAYER OF SALVATION

W e trust you have been blessed by this devotional.

We invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of
your life by praying thus:

“O Lord God, I come to you in the Name of Jesus

Christ. your Word says, “...whosoever shall call on the
name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21). I ask
Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life.
I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to
Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God
hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved,” I
declare that I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of
God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is he
that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)! I
now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ
Jesus. hallelujah!”

“I’ve Experienced Supernatural Increase Through Rhapsody Of
Realities!”
I’m so grateful to God for Rhapsody of Realities; it has taught me things I
never knew or heard about before now. Ever since I came in contact with the
devotional, my life has experienced supernatural increase and I know why.
It’s because I’ve learnt how to apply the Word of God in every circumstance.
I recommend this book everywhere I go!

“Distributing Rhapsody Of Realities Made Me Bold!”
I used to read my Bible all the time but I wasn’t bold. One day, my pastor
inspired me to go out on evangelism and he gave me copies of Rhapsody of
Realities to distribute to those I preached to. That changed my life. I took the
materials to school and distributed them to my classmates without fear. I’ve
been bold and fearless ever since!

“ Healed Of Intracerebral Haemorrhage After Word Therapy”
My husband suffered from intracerebral haemorrhage and was in coma for
almost a year. The doctors had very little or no hope for a change. I received
a copy of Rhapsody of Realities from someone and studied it. The devotional
inspired me to start speaking God’s Word to my husband every day. After
a few days of “Word therapy”, he was miraculously healed and discharged
from the hospital. Now, he even rides a bicycle. Praise God!
