NAELOFAR TYSYA ELEGANCE
HOW IT STARTED ?
Naelofar Tysya Elegance, located at UDA Business
Centre, has been in operation for about 5 years ever
since it started off in 2014. Naelofar Tysya Elegance
represents the first ever boutique stockist for the
Naelofar brand that was located in the Johor Bahru
district. I started my boutique due to my strong
interest and passion in the business field as well as
having the opportunity that was provided to me at
that moment. I decided to leave my decent job in
order to achieve my vaulting ambition in having my
own business. My husband also supported me and
motivated me to develop my own business. In the
retrospect, it was my first step at venturing into the
business field physically as I had only been assisting
in the stockist business through the internet.

BUSINESS CONCEPT
Naelofar Tysya Elegance is a well-known boutique
which sells a variety of products from the Naelofar
brand. To name a few, the products that could be
found in the boutique are lip sticks, beauty fridges,
hijabs, prayer rugs and perfumes.

WHY WAS THIS BRAND CHOSEN ?
Naelofar was the brand of my choice as it
set the milestone that would help promote
my business because it was a famous
brand that had good quality of products as
well as having a well-known industry for
hijabs in Malaysia. Naelofar also had a high
market value in Malaysia as the prices for
its products met the expectations of
customers because customers were getting
the worth of their money through the
quality of the products bought. Naelofar
also had a strong management team that
helped operate and support all the
stockists. The management team also
continuously provided training and
guidelines that help all the stockists to
improve.
WHY DID YOU ESTABLISH YOUR
BUSINESS IN THIS COM M UNITY ?
Location plays a prominent part in starting
a business because it represented a
springboard for me in order to attract the
customers. I decided to buy the shop lot at
this area because there were lesser rivals
around due to the area being considered
new and this area had a huge potential to
attract a vast number of customers to
develop my business in the future as the
majority of population there were Malays. I
am also thankful to the Almighty, as from
what I had expected, many customers had
visited my shop in these three years due to
the expansion and development of the
area, even though there were many
competitors that started to operate their
business in the same area. The increasing
number of residents in the area also
provided me with an ideal avenue to
expand my business as the Malay
community located in this area were
capable and were also able to afford the
products that are sold here.
HOW TO ATTACT CUSTOM ERS CHALLENGES AS A STOCKIST

ACHIEVEM ENT
Azlinah binti Mohammad Noor, the owner of
Naelofar Tysya Elegance has many astonishing
achievements, may it be personal or business
wise. She was nominated as the top 30 stockist
all around Malaysia when she was just 3-5
months in the business. The management
company of Naelofar Hijab rewards these high
achiever stockists by offering the training classes
for free as they keep competing to keep their
place at top. Now, after about 5 years in the
business, Azlinah is one of the top 10 stockist and
will keep on thriving to get better achievements.
Hitting the target of RM1 million per year does
not seem impossible to this hardworking woman.
Moreover, almost every year Naelofar Tysya
Elegance is awarded with the Best Customer
Service Award. No wonder the store was always
busy with customers as the workers are very
helpful and polite. The customers?review on the
service on their IG @naelofar_tysyaelegance
helped them to achieve this award for
consecutive years now. In conjunction to that
achievement, this diligent and dedicated woman
is also the leader for Young&Glow in the state of
Johor. Her astounding leadership skills score her
the title which adds one more achievement to
her collection of awards.
FUTURE PLAN
I already had offers from various locations such
as JBCC but I wasn?t fond of the idea of the work
shifts being from 10am-10pm and 7 days a week
as I valued the well-being of my staffs to be able
to get some rest and break as well. I always had a
bigger picture in mind when planning to expand
my business as there are many other factors to
consider before branching out. I always had
plans of expanding the business but I have
expectations and requirements to be of a certain
standard before considering expanding. As
Naelofar being of a well-known brand around
this area, I had concerns that if I were to have a
different branch at another location, I wanted it
to be as consistent as the current one. I wanted
to offer customers the same kind of
warm-hearted service and treatment given to my
customers by my staffs at a new location to be as
good as my current boutique.
ADVICE AND SUGGESTION

The right approach can mean a world of difference in business. Part of setting up a long-term plan is knowing
where the problem spots are, as well as which business philosophies work better for which industries. For me in
the boutique industry, I would say the beginning of my business wasn?t in a good shape until I met someone
who guided me to the path of success, Datin Kartini.
So, I would like to share my experience as a stockist entrepreneur to the young entrepreneurs as well as to
those who are going to start their own business. Firstly, before beginning to start the business you would need
to carry out a market research where you would be able to meet the demands of the products which you wish
to sell. Also, from marketing research, we can know which brand is popular and we can stock those popular
brands in order to sell it through a website or through social media platforms. As this is the easier way to earn
money without paying any rental fee of the shop, electrical bills and even marketing of a new brand. As long as
you have the ability to open a stockist shop, you would need to initially research and strategize on the location
that you want to open your shop. As for me I started my boutique around Angsana Mall which had a high
population of the Malay community as they represent my target community that would help me to achieve a
high shop sale.
Business always comes with a risk, and the risk that I face as a stockist is that certain types of products sold do
not attract the customers attention. In order to deal with this problem, my suggestion is that it is better for you
to first sell a famous brand and establish your marketing and networking position to the public by using social
media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. After your shop is well-known by many people, you could then
build your own brand of products that are based on your own interests as you already have the fame in this
industry and it could be used as a free advertisement to your own products.
After you overcome all the risk, the rewards that come after is priceless which does not only include the money
but also the reputation of your shop, your brand as well as yourself. Success never comes easy, so you have to
put in at least 99% of effort and an extra 1% of luck in order to attain success.
