INTRODUCTION

Every thrice a year, most of the locality here in the Philippines promulgates an
important affair where people surrounded were tasked to choose a leader within the
community. Each of the cities have responsibilities to associate and maintain the
solemnity of the occasion. Nowadays, the society still uses the traditional way of
facilitating a significant event that holds the future of a particular area. During the election,
most of the places around the nation encountered technical issues in voting machines,
paper jams and the anomalies of the apparatus used. (Rappler, 2019)

Recently, the number of percentages of polling on the stated date of SK elections

in Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City was reduced; due to the few numbers of participants of the said
appointment. There were many factors why the members decided not to present
themselves on the exact date. One of those is the sluggish approaches when regards to
processing the number of polls. We have also observed that most of the barangays
around Cebu City still uses the old ways of handing out the entries, which consumes a lot
of time. These days, manpower is not enough to varnish a specific output efficiently and
it takes a certain material to make the invention more productive.

According to studies, automated voting system is widely used among bigger

institutions, wherein a system is linked from a database that serve as storage of all the
data collected. It was also stated there that any kinds of vote entry controller are vital in
monitoring the entries to prevent unauthorized voting. As systems keeps on improving
day by day, with the help of the human brain and the technology itself; We, the developers
brainstormed together and came up with an idea of formulating a system called
Automated Sangguniang Kabataan Voting System that could help the chosen vicinity;
produce peaceful and fruitful process of serving people. The program enables good
facility in submitting entries of the elections for eligible voters. Offers state of the art
technology in its most advanced phase of development that could meet the statutory
necessities.
 In addition, the system as well can serve as a helping tool for facilitators to make
their work more effective and faster, wherein they will just have to enter the verification
details to access the database of the system and to check whether the voters did input
the exact data. Also, it has the provision of efficient and reliable output which can satisfy
the users’ preferences, in just a little bit of encoding the datum. Overall, the system can
fulfill the gaps between technology and manual operations during SK election.
