Verses
Verses typically follow the
same melody as one
another, and take up the
majority of a song.

They provide the “storyline”


of the song.
Bridges
The bridge provides
“relief” from the
repetition of the constant
melodies of the chorus
and verses.
Pre-Choruses
and Choruses
The pre-chorus is a lead
in to the chorus section,
while the chorus is the
“climax” of the song.

The title of a song is


normally included in the
chorus.
