A Las Vegas man was arrested after being found Thursday in possession of about $2 million
worth of methamphetamine in nearby Kingman, Arizona, according to the Mohave County
Sheriff’s Office.

Israel Tellez-Nava, 35, was pulled over on Interstate 40 in Kingman, Arizona, about 8 p.m.,
the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.

Task force detectives saw “bundles” of meth in “plain view” when they peered into the
1/2
vehicle and arrested Tellez-Nava, the sheriff’s office said. A more careful look through the
vehicle produced three boxes with 43 pounds of the drug, with an estimated total street
cost of $1.9 million, the sheriff’s office said.

Tellez-Nava, the lone occupant, was arrested on two counts of transportation of dangerous
drugs for sale and one count of possession of dangerous drugs — all felonies.
