Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

HBOT is a natural medical therapy that helps in enhancing the body's natural healing mechanism by the
process of inhalation of 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. Pressurized chamber forms the central
part of the therapy. Through HBOT, oxygen is dissolved in all of body’s fluids like the plasma, central nervous
system fluid, lymph, bones etc. and oxygen can reach areas where blood circulation is relatively low or
completely absent and help damaged tissues to absorb extra oxygen and enhance human body's healing
processes. The process results in generation of new blood vessels in a rapid manner in affected areas. The
process involves minimal side effects and is facile, painless, and non-invasive. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is
also known as an alternate medicine for curing life threatening diseases.

The hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been approved by The Food and Drug Administrant (FDA) for treatment
of 16 conditions including stroke, burns, carbon monoxide poisoning etc. Several medical researches have
considered the hyperbaric therapy as a coveted neuro-therapeutic method for mental remedies which will
come as a boon for people suffering from autism, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain
injury (TBI), cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraine headaches, metabolic
disorders as well as other neurological dysfunctions.
Impact and Working Mechanism

Since oxygen pressure is increased by the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, it results in higher solubility of the oxygen in blood as
defined by Henry's Gas Law. Pressure causes oxygen to cross cell membranes and penetrate into body's fluidic systems which
include plasma, synovia, lymphatic, interstitial (between cells) and cerebrospinal fluids. Oxygen is inhaled by patient at a higher
pressure which further results in an improved exhaustion of trapped air inside the body helping in the treatment of Air Embolism
and Decompression Sickness.

Why HBOT?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a non-evasive therapeutic treatment whose several medical applications have been proven by
the FDA (full form) and have been widely documented simultaneously.
Other advantages of using HBOT treatment are:
Improves outcome of an ongoing treatment, non-evasive treatment: hence minimal side-effects, efficient, higher number of
patient footfall, promising treatment, improves revenue, increases network and referrals, better treatment leads to better
reputation.

The Cogmac advantage:

Cogmac’s Oxycea Monoplace hyperbaric chambers are manufactured with an automatic system for the pressurization,
ventilation and depressurization of the oxygen therapy sessions, which facilitates all of its operation.
Cogmac Industries Pvt. Ltd. is in charge for all the developmental processes of Oxycea Monoplace; from designing,
manufacturing, researching, quality testing, installation, to after sales support. Backward integration and self-management
of the operations associated with the stated processes help in increasing efficiency, improving services, and keeping the
production cost low.

The Ventilation system

Since the beginning of the pressurization, a ventilation system of minimum 50 liters per minute is automatically activated.
Ventilation repeatedly pressurizes and decompresses constantly because it discharges the air (oxygen + carbon dioxide)
inside the chamber and takes in 100% pure oxygen after reaching the specified air pressure.

When the difference between pressurization and decompression is higher, the user feels pain in the ears and tympanic
membrane and cannot relax. Latest barometric stabilization system maintains the difference between pressurization and
depressurization as close to zero, resulting in higher relaxation of user.
