1. INTRODUCTION:
The people of developing countries like Bangladesh accused the game for creating the
recent imbalance among the youth generation of the country

THESIS STATEMENT:
Only the social media is to be hold responsible for the social based crime among the
youth generation of a developing country because of status update , differential among
group and leakage of information.

Clincher: Many people say the youth is committing social crime because of
their psychology as the contrary; the youth is very much involved with social
media and their coming incompact with much obscured information.
 Social Media Triggers Social Crime

Ninth November around 10:30pm a boy aged 16 was found dead in front of a big market in
Gulistan. Police recovered the body and a fish was imprinted by using knife. He was also holding
a mobile. Police was accusing the game “Blue Whale” as he jumped from the roof of that
market. But the local says that the boy had a bit of enmity with the locals and they think of he did
not suicide rather was killed. Now the question is, was he murdered or he actually suicide due to
game? Though the people of developing countries, like Bangladesh accused the game for
creating the recent imbalance among the youth generation of the country. However, only the
social media is to be hold responsible the social based crime among the youth generation of a
developing country. However, only the social media is to be hold responsible for the social based

among group and leakage of information.
First of all, maintaining social status on Facebook triggers many heinous crimes. When it comes
to social media Facebook is an infamous example. It is a database of millions of people where
they maintain their social life. In most cases people portray themselves as someone else in this
place of social entertainment. You can portray as whoever you want by using fake pictures to
name. Then again there are people who are not portraying anything but themselves. But those
number of people who are obsessed with showing themselves as more than what they are, are the
problem. Jealousy is a poison which has the power to burn down houses to lives. Due to
enormous opportunity to explore in this media people often find themselves not content with
their life and that’s quite natural but not everyone can accept it. Abu Nayeem (17) a madrasha
student, met with a girl facebook and chatted her with a long time. Suddenly, at a time, they
decided to meet and later he found that it was a fake ID and the ID belonged to a boy named
Shumon who was aged 18 and while meeting they try to take money from Nayeem while
snatching he was killed by him. Doyle (2012) stated almost 2300 occurrences of crime that was
triggered through social media. One of the most famous incident was of a 35 year old serial killer
used his picture from the age 15 and arranged a meet up. The next thing he murdered that young
girl. Later on he was caught but will that bring the life if that girl back. No, it would not.
Second of all, social media triggers social crime on the basis of group. Social media is said to
burned down the racism and difference out the world. But if we look closely we can see back in
2014 in Facebook a small war took place in the village in Ramu just for sharing some verse from
the religion book on social media. Badal and Hasan (2017) found that in recent days another
occurrence took place, someone from Rangpur named as Titu is from a Hindu creed. Someone
opened an ID in Facebook by the name MD. Titu and posted few criticisms about religion
specifically “ISLAM”. It was not certainly down by that specific Titu but he was victimized as
his house was burn down by other villagers. These are quite common in Facebook and this kind
of lierne things are in real life which got triggered by and at Facebook.
Thirdly, social medias are one of the main concern for information leakage. At present,
information leakage is causing much problems to the user and because of it, the daily life of
users is being hampered regardless. For the reason, information leakage is one of the main reason
to blackmail the users. For example, Salaria (2017) found that the recent death of a girl, about
17-year-old girl was blackmailed by her boyfriend for take pictures and take information and
demanded 2 lacs for deleting that information. Also, that information was retrieved from her
social media accounts and further they were edited to blackmail her. Moreover, information
leakage causes people to suicide. For instance, Salaria (2017) said that at final moment, the girl
could not have controlled the situation and took her life. Social medias are very concern about
the information leakage matter and it is hampering the privacy of users. Furthermore, identity
offensive status to post publically and always try to use of high in created pictures in any social
media.
To counter social media connects people and brings them closer. At present, social media
connect the user with his friends and family and so on. By connecting with people, social media
plays the role of connection and bandage among the user’s circle of communication. Therefore,
social media is bring the people together in harmony like a society and social media is perceived
as society to the young generation. So, the question is how can it be responsible for social crimes
among the youth. Yes, social media is made to keep people connects. It can connect one country
to another, one state to another state, one person to another from various region of the world
whole global community into one. There are no existence of color variation, creed and social
status. In social media people means “people”. They all are humans. Nothing can differentiate
the quality of a human being.We also think social media do connect us but it cannot make us one
rather there is existence of color, creed, social status. Secondly, we consider that, social media
can turn the whole global community in one call away distance and we get to see what
happening in every corner of the universe thus the crime has increased globally as information
became hand to keep secret.
In short, only the social media is liable for the social crime which is based on social media
among the youth generation of a developing country. For solving this problem, we need to take
some laws like age barrier, we need a age range who only can access into a social media.
Secondly, we need verification a person by his/her ID card. Furthermore, identify offensive
status to post publically and always try to use of high in created pictures in any social media.
Moreover, a very important issue is “information” we need to monitor necessary information
and implementation of new rules and regulation. Therefore, to solve this problem we need to
follow this solutions and suggestions. Though, many people say that youth is committing crime
because of their financial and psychological issue. On the contrary, the youth enduring financial
problems but they are very much involved with social medias and they are coming in contact
with very absurd information and those information really affects the mind of the youth. As a
result to revive their financial and psychological issue they are involved in social crime. So
social media should be strict about their content because they affect the youth in doing social
crime.
