1. INTRODUCTION
Business dynamics is rapidly changing today, whether they are specialty products, luxury goods or
daily consumer goods–the ways they are sold and purchased are undergoing rapid metamorphosis.
The latest growing craze in the market is refurbished and seconds-products, including electronics, IT
products, telecom gadgets and others. India is a rising market power with vast untapped potential
and the refurbished market here has a GREAT potential for the coming years and decades.

People in general have a misconception that all refurbished products (also known as refurbs) are
used or secondhand goods. Refurbished goods not necessarily mean used ones, but they could be
the products kept on display or used in demos and hence the package-box is opened. Once
packaged is opened, it cannot be counted as brand new good and hence has to be labeled as
refurbished.

Company name studied the refurbished goods and their market in depth on Indian Context and
conclude to tap into the business envisage reaching the people who cannot afford new products.

3. EEE: REDIFINING THE SUSTAINABLE CYCLE

EEE is an essential tool to empower people to achieve economic growth and development. However
due to rapid product obsolescence in Electronic Products, consumers are quick to discard their old
EEE as they rush out to buy the latest gadgets and components. In the process many of these old
gadgets add to discarded toxic devices and might well be heading to the shores of some developing
countries like India where they are either improperly disposed, or recycled under hazardous
conditions thus giving rise to health and environmental concerns.
We're producing and discarding more electronics than ever while reusing only a small fraction of
their materials which has been a growing concern over the negative impact of the electronics
industry:

Reinventing the Road Map: Reuse, Repair& Refurbish

i) Prevent used and/or end of life EEE ending up in a landfill and lower environmental
footprint – Extend the life cycle by repair, refurbishing and re-marketing.
ii) Complete use of such EEE either as a whole system or as parts or reinvent the components

Refurbishment

The non-repairable parts will be replaced by original or similar specified parts to make the product
workable. Our refurbishment team has the skills to do professional repair and ensure that
refurbished products meet exacting standards. If it does not meet the minimum requirement, then
it will fall on to the Recycling centre for further recovery.

The process of refurbishment is two-fold.

- The first step in the refurbishment process is to verify the hardware functionally through
initial testing, remove old data and software, and install new hardware (parts), as needed.
During this preparatory process, digital data destruction software can remove all software
including the basic set of instructions called an operating system. It is helpful to imagine a
computer at this point as a polished mirror, awaiting a new set of instructions.

- The second step is to install the required instruction sets (software, both the operating
system and applications) that control the hardware and provide desired user functionality.

Quality Control

- Refurbished product will be tested for its standards comparatively with original standard of
the product
- Then it is transferred for REMARKETING activity
- The products will be send to recycling centre for the further process
13. REMARKETING & RESALE
Functioning EEE products from Refurbishment & QC centre will be reintroduced into the potential
market through Remarketing activity. The objective of the remarketing process is to extend the EEE
product life span and value. By reintroducing the workable EEE products can save huge amount of
energy from new product manufacturing and upheld EPR & CSR Activities

Quality approved products will be sold through existing channels of Vans Chemistry and the whole
system will be controlled in an optimized way. The accountability and traceability of the remarketing
activity is function in an transparent way.
