1- What are Soft Skills?
Soft skills are general general skills that are needed in life and in many careers.
2- What soft skills do employers value more?
The four most wanted soft skills by employers are Professionalism and work ethic, Oral and
written communication, teamwork and collaboration and critical thinking and problem- solving.
Our Questions:
1-Why else are soft skills important?
They are important when students are trying to get their first job after graduation.
2-What else do soft skills help with?
They help with being successful in any career field.

Professionalism QQ
1-What does professionalism mean?
Professionalism means or refers to behaviors in the workplace that communicate you are
committed to achieving goals, responsible, hardworking, honest, respectful, mindful of
boundaries and a team player.
2- What are some behaviors that demonstrates professionalism?
Some behaviors of people who demonstrate professionalism are polite, respectful, courteous to
others, committed, responsible, hardworking, honest, and a team player.

Professionals care about the mission to the company and the goals they are trying to achieve.
2-what is a good quality of a professional?
Professionals are mindful of boundaries and are able to determine which actions or behaviors
are appropriate in which situations.

1- Why is it a good idea to track how you spend your time?
It is a good idea to track your time so you can see what you are spending time on and see what
you can improve on and change the way you are using some of the time so you can be more
productive.

Time traps are an activity or activities that take up a lot of your time and typically are
unproductive in nature.

Successful students spend less time on activities that are considered time traps

1- Based on the research, what are the pros and cons associated with working while attending
college?
Some cons of working while being in college are not studying a lot for your classes, poor
concentration, less sleep, and an increase in absence in school. Some pros include studying
more and harder, having a better performance, and were financially better off
2- What strategies can you use to have good work-school-life balance?
It helps to make a list of your primary responsibilities to see if it’s something you still need to
keep on your plate.

1-What are a good amount of hours to work a week, while attending school?
10-20 hours a week is a good amount for a student.
2-Does balance mean I’ll spend the same amount of time on everything?
No, the amount of time spent on different activities will vary, due to the complexity of a student's
life.

1- Why are to-do lists helpful?
They can help you see the big picture of what you need to accomplish.
2- What should be the most important factor you consider when prioritizing tasks?
The tasks that can help you achieve your goals.
3- What is one of the best ways to combat procrastination?
Break down large assignments into smaller tasks that appear more doable.

solution is used.

Dominating style (Focused on one parties point of view and disregards others opinions

Compromising style (All parties are involved in sharing and coming up with one single best
solution.

The 5 are approach to group work is established rapport, determine rules, determine roles, get
ready to work and support one another, and remember to evaluate.
2- What are some examples of group rules?
Some examples of group rules include attending all group meetings, come prepared to the
meetings, respond to emails, texts and other ways of communication, and finally respect one
another at all times.
3- What are some examples of group roles?
Some examples of group roles include the group leader, the note taker, the visual aid leader,
questioner, and the rehearsal director/timer.

Leadership can be learned. Many skills associated with leadership can be easily learned by
people.
