Title:
Are the colours in Charles cheers evenly distributed?

3
INTRODUCTION

Cheers are the popular coloured candy made by Charles. Charles claims that the colors (or flavors) of
cheers are evenly distributed. Therefore, given there are 5 different flavors, about 20% of each color
should be in one bag. The researcher aims to put this claim to the test. To carry out this research 4 pack of
the same size cheers will be bought to determine whether if it is true are false.

4
METHOD OF INVESTIGATION

To collect data for this research, the researcher followed through with the following steps:

 The researcher went about and bought 3 bag of Charles cheers that were the same size
 The researcher distributed the cheers to formulate a conclusion using a mathematical operation
consumer arithmetic
Orange – white – red – yellow – purple = distribution of cheers
Orange + white + red + yellow + purple = total amount of cheers

 The information was recorded in a table

7
ANAYSIS OF DATA

The number of cheers that were distributed was 50. 12% were red, 15% were yellow, 6% were purple, 8%
were orange and 9% white. Each bag of cheers consisted of different amount. One pack were composed
of 18, the next one was 15, while the other one was 17. A comparison was made showing on a pie chart
which highlighted that yellow is the most frequent cheers in the pack, then red, orange, white and the least
one that occurred was purple.

8
DISCUSSION OF FINDINGS

The investigation gave significant information about the distributed cheers.

 Yellow occurred more frequently than the other colors

 Each bag of cheers consisted different amount of cheers

9
CONCLUSION

It has been proven that cheers are not evenly distributed in a pack.
