Mechanics in Applying for a Job

1. The application form - The application form usually contains biography data that will provide the
employer with all the facts necessary for him/her to determine the fitness of the application for the job.

2. The interview - The interview is the first is the first contact of the worker with the
employer. The purpose of the interview is twofold-it helps to determine the fitness
of the applicant for the job, and it also provides information that helps the applicant
determine his/her interest in the position.

3. The tests - Written tests are oftentimes given to applicants to determine their
intellectual capacity and interests.

4. The physical examination - A health examination is required of all workers in any


enterprise, because fitness in an applicant is highly important.

5. The employment record - The record of appointment is made after an agreement


on employment terms has been reached.
