Dear Sr. Maria Ana,

Happy All Saints Day!

Sr. Aluena Emotin, DC was scheduled to have her Annual Retreat last August but due to her
confinement and medical condition she was not able to do so. The next scheduled Retreat in
December will be in Tagaytay, but she is not yet fit to travel.

It is in this regard that we are asking permission to allow her to have her Annual Retreat in the
Community. With the guide and have a schedule at her convenience she will be able to go
through the Retreat. This was presented to her and she is amenable with it.

Still with the tracheal tube she could not yet talk but could communicate through writing in a
magic slate. She is still on enteral tube feeding four times a day. She tries to take in some liquid
by mouth in small quantity: water, fish and vegetables broth or strained osteorized fruits. At
present, her physical condition is improving. She now walks without the aid of the walker or
could sit on a longer period. Sometimes she joins us at prayer time, Rosary, spiritual reading
and recreation. She receives Holy Communion daily and view the Holy Mass on TV during
Sundays. We have the eucharistic celebration here with our CM priests every Wednesday and
any of us could go for the sacrament of reconciliation. On her part as she did last time she
wrote in a piece of paper for the priest to read.

Hoping for your kind consideration on this matter. May we then ask for the copies of the guide
for her use.

Thank you so much for your continued support and guidance!

We had the PAASCU Re-survey Visit of the Elementary Department last October 23 – 24, 2017.
The restoration work on the Heritage House is done and already in use so we had the PAASCU
Headquarters and Exhibits on the upper part of it and the lower part are the offices of the
different coordinators. God has blessed us with fine weather during those days so the
Accreditors were free to move around observing classes and other outdoor activities. We could
now breathe with relief after the so many preparations as we continue to pray for a favorable
result.

The Community had a meeting with Sr. Maria Luisa Javier, DC and Sr. Diana Perey, DC last
October 16, 2017. Part of the topic of the meeting was the Board of Trustees’ approval of our
request for a new rolling equipment: a Toyota Commuter Van 15 seater in the amount of Php
1,390,000.00 cash basis. In our last visit to the Office it was agreed that they will give us a Php
10,000.00 discount with freebies like seat cover, matting and glass tint. If we opt to have the
unit insured through Toyota services, we will be paying Php39,137.90 which covers 1 year
comprehensive insurance and 3 years LTO registration. We have reserve the model and the
management will give us priority as soon as the vehicle will be available.

Last Friday, October 27, 2017 they informed us that the vehicle is already available but we were
not able to make the transaction since we were out of town for the SLT meeting.

It is in this regard that I am writing to ask for Poverty Permission to purchase the above stated
vehicle.

Thank you very much for your continued support and guidance to our mission.
