NOTE:
Colleges where multiple departments are available, have to set up their
internal decentralized mechanism so that, using the same common turnitin account of said college, all students from respective colleges can check plagiarism of their project reports WITH HELP OF FACULTY. FACULTY MEMBERS HAVE TO CHECK FOR PLAGIARISM REPORT OF STUDENT’S PROJECT. ACCESS CREDENTIAL FOR TURNITIN PORTAL MUST NOT BE SHARED DIRECTLY WITH STUDENTS
For plagiarism check, one is required to follow below steps, on turnitin
portal. 1. Log in to Turnitin Website using college credentials: https://www.turnitin.com/login_page.asp?lang=en_us
2. Change Profile from Instructor to Student as below:
3. Click on the class name (For Example, “Copy of BE Colleges - PMMS” and who is ACTIVE under status) 4. On Class Home Page, Go to any ASSIGNMENTS as listed below on the screen, and click on submit button. 5. On Submit page, Give your “Submission Title” as your student’s Project Title, then Choose the file you want to upload to Turnitin from your computer and click on UPLOAD. 6. Verify the details on next page, and click on CONFIRM. 7. Save the receipt of your submission for plagiarism check on turnitin portal, you are required to submit the same in your project report. Then click on RETURN TO ASSIGNMENT LIST. 8. On Class Home page, After some time (few hours-day) of project report submission, you will find the percentage mentioned for plagiarized content of your report, click on the % or color bar. 9. On new tab, the file of student’s project report will be opened as below, and then click on DOWNLOAD ICON, given on right side options panel. 10. On Clicking the Download Icon, a tab will be opened as below, from the given options click on CURRENT VIEW to download your plagiarized content search report. A PDF file of project report will be downloaded to your computer. 11. Go to last page of your project report, you will find the % of plagiarized content for your project report. Get details of this %, mention the same on PMMS portal. Also students are required to take print of this last page of report, and required to submit the same as part of students final project report’s hard copy.
