MASTER ROTATION PLAN

MASTER ROTATION PLAN
INTRODUCTION
Master plan is a planning tool that provides detailed guidance or instruction for
the comprehensive development of a specific area. As we all know that to make a
clean and beautiful city one has to prepare a master plan of the city showing the size
of roads, size of houses, site of parks, schools, security and other public facilities and
also the provision of future development.

Likewise to prepare corps of nursing personals with good knowledge, attitude

and skill for the attainment of an optimum level of health of the individual family and
community by means of better implementation of all curricular activities. So, we need
a master plan for implementation of nursing curriculum programme.

Master rotation plan is an overall plan of rotation of all students in a particular

educational institution. It is showing the placement of the students belonging to total
programme such as 3 year and 6 month in GNM, 4 year in B.Sc. Nursing, 2 year in
M.Sc. Nursing. It includes both theory and practice denoting the study block,
placement of the student in clinical blocks, examination vacation, extra-curricular
activities etc.

It is prepared well in advance for whole year so that it gives a complete picture
about student's placement either in theory or field experience during an academic
session. The rotation plan of each year can be prepared separately and then put it on
combined chart for the total programme so that every faculty will aware of student's
placements.

In thepreparation of master rotation plan teacher should follow the syllabus

guide line that is provided by the Indian Nursing Council and State Nursing Council
or University.
