Awit ng Paghahangad
The students will listen to the gospel song Awit ng Paghahangad. To reflect with the
meaning of the song the students will answer the following questions.
Guide questions:
1. What is the general sentiment or meaning of the gospel song?
2. Do you have experiences of longing but you are never quite sure about what
you are longing for?
3. Do you think that this longing is related to a longing for God?

The group of students will perform different activities that will define and explain their
relationship and the need to establish a relationship with God.
Group 1 – Role play
Group 2 – Rap / poem
Group 3 – Jingle
Group 4 – News casting
Group 5 – Beauty contest

B. Analysis
1. Why should we have a true relationship with God?
2. How can we establish a true relationship with God?
3. Can our relationship with God give us a meaningful life? Why or why not?

C. Abstraction
How can we appreciate and value our relationship with God?

Create a slogan that presents your relationship with God.

A discussion about what other religion tells about Man’s longing for God will be facilitated in
the class.

1. Is the interpretation of other religions about Man’s longing for God the same with

2. What reflection can you give about other religion’s interpretation of man’s longing
for God?

The group of students will explain the following concepts to deepen the understanding of
man’s longing for God through reporting. The reporting will be graded using a rubric.

How can we appreciate and value our relationship with God?

D. Application
Create a poem that will show you relationship with God and it will be performed in the class
by means of speech choir.
