beyond thankful for the following people who had been a great help in making

this study a successful one.

understanding, and support morally and financially.

To the research adviser, Ma’am Goldameir Pablo, for the supervision and

advices that she gave to the researchers in making this research a well-

improved, informative, and reliable study.

To the respondents, for the time and patience given despite the busy

schedule in school, in accepting the researchers’ request to answer the

questionnaires. Without them, the results will not be as firm as they are today.

And to the source of all wisdom, Almighty God, for the eternal guidance

and strength that He gave throughout this study. With Him, this study is, indeed,

a blessing to the researchers.

DEDICATION

The researchers would like to dedicate this study to their parents and

teachers, who taught us to analyze, express, and reflect the ideas and

conclusions.

This study is also dedicated to the researchers’ respondents who

cooperated and gave their time in answering our survey questionnaires to make

this research possible. This is not the end; this is just a stepping stone for their

brighter tomorrow.

Likewise, the researchers dedicate this study to the readers and future

researchers for they can use this as a reference.

Finally, this thesis is dedicated to all those who believe in richness of

learning and the value of education.

ABSTRACT

This study entitled “Teaching Styles of Teachers at Puelay Elementary

School” is pursued to determine the teaching styles of the respondents.

Furthermore, it is also focused on determining the significant relationship

between the teaching styles and the profile of the respondents in terms of age,

gender, monthly income, length of service, and position.

This study uses a descriptive correlational research method which falls

under quantitative. Descriptive research method is used in this study to uncover

the teaching styles of the respondents by assessing the questionnaire and the

correlational research method is also used to find out if there is a significant

relationship between the profile and the teaching styles of the respondents. Also,

in this method, the researchers did not attempt to manipulate the variables such

as the profile of the respondents.

The researchers used a scale of Always (A) = 3.25-4.00; Often (O) = 2.50-

3.24; Sometimes (S) = 1.75 -2.49; and Never (N) 1.00- 1.74 in the questionnaire

assessed by the respondents. After collecting and analyzing the data needed, it

was found out that most of the respondents are aged 41 and above. Females

have a greater quantity than males. Most of the respondents receive a monthly

income of Php. 20,000 to Php. 24,999. Also, 23 of the 30 respondents have 7

years and above length of service while only one of them has 11 months and

below. Lastly, 26 of the 30 respondents are currently Teachers I to III, and the

rest are Master Teachers I to IV. The researchers also found out that the

respondents often do the teaching styles and there is no significant relationship

between the profile and the teaching styles of teachers at Puelay Elementary

School. An action plan was also proposed by the researchers in order to

improve the teaching styles of the respondents.

With the conclusion above, the researchers recommended that the

teachers should make and improve their own useful and informative teaching

style. The students and readers can get informed and entertained by the teaching

styles. The future teachers can learn different teaching styles that they can use in

their future teaching years. Last of all, future researchers can include more

categories of teaching styles on the indicators.
