Rational: By getting to know each student’s name I will be able to build a connection with the
students. By building a connection with the students they will be more willing to listen while
teaching. They will also feel comfortable asking questions when they need help.
Strategies:
I will ask my TA for a class list on day one (preferably with pictures to put a face to a
name).
Study the class list.
Try to have 5 new names learned by each recess each day.
Indicators of Success:
I will know each student by name in 3 days.
