Worship: We take time together to connect with God through 5 - 6:00pm Children’s Musical Practice
song, scripture, fellowship, and prayer. Something special 6:00pm Christmas Together Fellowship
happens we focus on God together. We invite you to stand and
sing with us as we praise God, but adopt whatever posture of
worship is best for you. The song lyrics and scriptures are
projected on screen so that you can follow along. A typical service
lasts about 65 minutes.
Children: We have a fully-staffed Nursery for ages three and
below. Kids ages 4-12 will be dismissed during the service to the NURSERY WORKERS
children’s chapel to be taught by Pastor Linda and her staff. TODAY:

During Advent, our worship services are
designed with the whole family in mind.
So families may worship together, there
will be no Children’s Church during this

GIVING TREE MISSION PROJECT
Please bring non-perishable items to second classroom on the
right down the long hallway. Be sure to attach the ornament you
took off the tree.
Perishable items need to be brought to church on Sunday, Dec.
15th.
All items must be turned in by Dec. 15th.

CHRISTMAS GIFT BAGS FOR FRANKLIN COUNTY INMATES
There are around 250 inmates (men and women) in the Franklin Co.
jail. Our jail ministry will be taking small gift bags to each of them at
Christmastime. You can be a part of this by making a donation to
the jail ministry. Write “jail ministry” in the memo line on your check
and place in the offering plate.

Did you know... that Israel has benefited more from President Trump's
administration than from any other administration? In 3 years, the Trump
administration has kept more promises to Israel than all of the previous
administrations combined. The State Department has decided to overturn a
41-year view that the Israeli settlements on the West Bank are "illegal" to be
in agreement with President Reagan. This announcement may be more
significant than moving the embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing Israeli
sovereignty over the Golan Heights because the Jerusalem Embassy Act
was law since 1996--and every presidential administration since then had to
justify not moving the embassy. As for the Golan Heights, the legal status of
Israeli communities in the West Bank has been the core of the defamation
campaign against Israel since the Carter administration in the 1970's. It's the
leading justification the E.U. and the U.N. and others use to discriminate
against Israel and Israeli Jews in the name of the rule of law or international
law, even though there's no basis in international law for the claim that Israeli
communities in these areas are illegal. The fact that President Trump has
made this move suggests that he understands the situation in the Middle
East better than most. As President Trump stated "You can't base peace,
real peace on a lie." The new Trump policy also helps undermine the anti-
Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. The BDS
movement is a lot like what took place in Nazi Germany leading up to WWII.
In 1933, the German government launched Judenboykott, a boycott of
Jewish stores and shops designed to not only to hurt the Jewish community
economically but to stigmatize and delegitimize the Jewish people. The BDS
movement has the same effect -- only it's an international effort targeting the
state of Israel, the BDS movement has been done in the name of the
Palestinians, attempting to force Israel to give up their land in the eastern
portion of the country, Judea, and Samaria. They use the settlements for
boycotting Israel and denying that Israel has a right to exist. The past
administration forced Israel to stop building in the West Bank -- and that
created a serious crisis with Israeli housing prices rising much faster than the
cost of living index, so young couples who are starting out have had a very
difficult time buying houses. This has direct implications for the Israeli
economy.
