RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Glogster is an interactive poster tool. There are various graphic tools and elements that can be used for
students to be able to interact with it. These things are, but not limited to, videos, audios, gifs, etc. In
summation, the page is designed to look like a poster but have interactive qualities.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

In terms of my own lesson plan, this can be used to create posters that contain resources or content to open
the topic of a lesson. For example, the one I created was an introduction to essay writing. If I had full access
to the website, I’d provide YouTube videos, audios, include graphics of the rubric, etc. That way, all the
resources my students need are in own poster/source.

For my students, this poster allows them to express their creativity but also can enhance their graphic
design abilities as well as tech literacy. Students will be able to learn what resources/gadgets are important
to use in this interactive poster that helps explain their assigned topic and what doesn’t. This will help with
their presentation and communication skills as they learn what is important and what is extraneous
information.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
● Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
● Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I’d rate this approximately a 1.5, because the integration tool can fluctuate between 1 and 2. Although this
tool can definitely enhance a lesson since students will be able to interact and use it as a reference to
resources, it wouldn’t necessarily play a huge role in the lesson. This is a fun way for students to unleash
their digital creativity as well as be able to go back to review these “glogsters” as lesson reviews or notes.
