Scenario #1: Invasion

(OPTIONAL) GREEN WITH EVIL KICKSTARTER EXPANSION

SETUP
Follow the normal Setup for the base game. Players may only use the 5 original Mighty Morphin Power
Rangers from the base game. If you are playing with six players, you may also include either Tommy Oliver
(Mighty Morphin Green), or Jen Scotts (Time Force Pink), who has come from the future to help.

— DEPLOYMENT DECK —
1. Shuffle the 20 Putty Patroller and Super Putty Patroller deployment cards. Then, divide them into 4
face-down piles of 5 cards each.

2. Do not add any additional cards to the first pile (pile A).

3. Choose 1 monster deployment card at random, without looking at it, and shuffle it into the second pile (pile B).

4. Shuffle the Ranger Slayer deployment card into the third pile (pile C).

5. Place the Black Dragon deployment card on the bottom of the last pile (pile D).

6. Stack the piles so that their order, from top to bottom, is A > B > C > D.

PLAY
This scenario introduces special events that change the game when specific triggers occur.

ROUND 1-2
Another day, another one of Rita’s monsters trying to attack Angel Grove. No big deal, you’ll kick some
putties, blow up the monster and maybe meet up at the Juice Bar later for a smoothie. What could go wrong?

These rounds are played as normal. The Rangers must defend Angel Grove as they always have: by fighting
putties and defeating monsters.

AT THE START OF ROUND 3


Portals erupt across Angel Grove, releasing platoons of strange soldiers wearing Ranger-like armor.
Who knows where they came from, but they must be stopped!

Until the end of the game, each time a Putty Patroller foot soldier figure would be deployed, deploy
a Mastodon Trooper figure instead. (Super Putty Patrollers are deployed as normal.)

Locate the enemy deck for the Mastodon Troopers. Shuffle it and place it face down near the other
enemy decks.
AT THE START OF ROUND 4
That’s not the end of it. An energy surge rocks the Command Center, followed by an immense
explosion! Revealing the leader of the invaders: The Black Dragon!

When Black Dragon is deployed, his figure is placed in the Command Center. Instead of placing the foot
soldiers from his deployment, place 4 Mastodon Trooper figures in the Command Center. Remove all
remaining energy tokens from the Command Center.

Flip the Command Center tile over to the Command Center Assault side.

Follow all of the rules in the Command Center Assault mode listed on page 17 of the
Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid rulebook.

Black Dragon is treated as a Boss-type enemy. The Rangers must defeat 6 of his cards in order
to win the game.

END GAME
If the Rangers Lose:
The Black Dragon has harvested the energy from your morphers for his master, Lord Drakkon. With his
mission accomplished, you are powerless to stop him as he tears open a portal to another world and leaves
alongside his forces. Who knows what he’s planning next?

If the Rangers Win:


The Black Dragon and the Ranger Slayer are defeated, but both of them manage to evade capture and flee
through a portal to who-knows-where. Your relief is cut short by the Black Dragon’s echoing laughter,
“You think this is over, Rangers? Ha! This is only the beginning...”
