SHORTAGE OF WATER RESOURCES

A growing global issue for agricultural aims is the deficiency of clean and
fit water. Using water more efficiently is one of a good ways to against this
problem. Water is very important for farmers and agronomists because they are
the greatest user of water that’s why they looking for ways to add the efficiency of
irrigation.
Sub-surface irrigation is a modest method of water conservation which is
already being used in many countries. Much of that water either evaporates or
runs off, when irrigation systems use water above the surface of the ground.
Almost fifty percent the estimated of this waste, in warm climates. In other words,
half of all the water applied is lost. Water in sub-surface irrigation is introduced
the surface of the ground. This action significantly lessen water deprivation. If all
application of water to the plants root systems is same, not only the water saved
but also made plants harder with more abundant produce.
Growing crops which are original to the region is another recent way to
apply water more efficiently. Species that have adapted overtime at their original
region are often can manage local conditions better than non-original species. The
example is corn species original at parts of Mexico that able to lessen the need for
significant irrigation. Non-original species of corn from the United States in last
decades of the 20th century were introduces to and sold in Mexico. Farmers’ water
usage was soared, while they enjoyed significant produce from these introduced
species. This caused in water-table decimation throughout many agricultural
regions in Mexico. In response, Mexican farmers have barely reintroduced
original corn species that are preferable to manage dry climates.
