Distributor for the supply of Turbo Blowers and providing Pre I After Sales Service for Asian Market

Turbo Blower is basically Fifth generation Blower and it is maintenance free equipment as it doesn't require any
Gears, Lubrication system as it works on Air Bearing Technology which is maintenance free technology. Also this
product is highly power efficient, it can save up to 30 - 50 % Power in comparison to Screw Blower I P. D.
Blowers.
• About NEUROS : M/s. Neurosis the leading manufacturer of Turbo Blower in the World also it has one
of the highest efficiency of Tubro Blower in the World. The Company has the manufacturing facility in South
Korea as well as in U.S . And marketing Office as well as Distributor in World wide.

FOUNDRY DIVISION :-
We have got full fledged Foundry Division. having Induction Melting Unit having Furnace Capacity 2 Tons and
power connected 750 K.W. alongwith suitable infrastructure as well as full fledged Laboratory for testing
Chemical, Mechanical properties and manufacturing CI graded pressure tight SG Iron Castings. It is also ISO

MACHINE SHOP :-
We have got full fledged Machine Shop equipped with all necessary inspection instruments, gauges for the
manufacture of various components to their desired accuracy level. We are manufacturing the components with

ASSEMBLY AND TEST BED :-

We have got full fledged Test bed where various desired clearances are maintained and all the machines are tested

 1. INTRODUCTION: -

“USHA COMPRESSORS PVT. LTD.,” commenced production in March, 1993 with the
plan of manufacturing Rotary Air Blowers of small to medium capacities up to 2000 M3 /
Hr. with a humble beginning, it gradually grew from strength to strength and in 2001, in
response to demands from growing clientele, it under took major expansion and installed
additional machinery, test equipments and inspection instruments for manufacturing and
testing Air and Gas Blowers up to 30,000 M3 / Hr. Capacity. In, 2001, it diversified into the
manufacturing of Industrial Vacuum Cleaning Systems.

While the diversification was in progress, our design and application engineering deptt, was
busy upgrading the design of Rotary Blowers making it in line with the best in vogue else
where in the world. As a result of our efforts, major changes in design and construction of
Rotary Blowers were introduced.

Subsequently, we diversified into manufacturing of Roots Vacuum pumps with integral

cooling for obtaining vacuums up to 8000 mmwc. These Vacuum Pumps were better
substitutes; lesser maintenance, lower power consumption and no requirement of process
water.

Lately we have started manufacturing ‘State of the Art’ Vacuum Boosters for obtaining
vacuums below 1 Torr. The Booster functions in conjunction with Mechanical Pump for
obtaining such low vacuum.

We also now offer wide range of sound reduction equipments such as Acoustic Enclosures /
Hoods.

Thus during a period of less than 1 decades, USHA has grown into the multi product
Company with multi crore turnover, capable of catering to every conceivable process
industry in the Country and have made exports against stiff competition from the established
overseas manufacturers.

Our products are well proven and are accepted by the leading clients and consultants. Many
foreign consultants have also approved our products for their Indian and overseas projects.

During last 2 – 3 Years, we under took many challenging assignments;

various type of air moving devices, dust and noise control equipments, exhausting systems,
gas and vacuum boosters.

ROTARY TWIN LOBE COMPRESSORS (ROOTS BLOWERS) :-

i) FOR POSITIVE CONVEYING.

* Airflow Capacity – 10 M3 / Hr. to 30,000 M3 / Hr.
* Pressure up to 3.0 Kg / Cm2g in multi staging
* Completely OIL FREE CONVEYANCE
* Blowers for high suction pressures feature unique sealing through mechanical
seals depending upon the suction conditions and are Hydro tested for higher
pressures.

5. MANUFACTURING FACILITIES :-

The machines shops are equipped with high precision machine tools, fabrication shop,
assembly and test shops. There is 15.0 Tons E.O.T. Crane for facilitating handling of
materials.

The details of machines and equipments installed at our unit are annexed hereto. The
installed Electric Power is adequate for in-house testing of Blowers, Vacuum Pumps up to
120 H.P. Motor.

All products are comprehensively tested for ensuring the performance of the equipment
conforming to the stipulated specifications.

The performance tests are carried out as per BS-1571 Part-II in case of Rotary Blowers and
Vacuum Pumps. The tests are also conducted to subject Blowers to mechanical run at test
rigs for ascertaining the volumetric efficiency, mechanical functions, power consumption and
vibrations to stringent out acceptance standards.

We have our full-fledged Foundry Division having Induction Melting unit having Furnace
Capacity 8 Tons and power connected 750 K.W. along with suitable infrastructure as well as

 ORKING PRINCIPLE
These are positive displacement Twin Lobe Compressors suitable for a wide range of operating spee ds to meet the exact capacity
requirements of the applications. They can be offered for pressure duty upto 10,000 mmwg and vacuum duty upto 6.000 mmwg. Two stage
machines can be offered for pressure upto 22,000 mmwg. These machines can be used for compression or boosting of vacuum gases.

The working chamber consists of two parallel cylindrical bores containing two impellers each with two lobes which counter rotate without
touching with each other, or the casing. Heavy duty gears ensure that a correct clearance is maintained between the impellers. The work ing
chambe r requires no lubrication hence the medium handled does not get contaminated with 011.

Usha Roots type rotary blowers are continuous operation heavy duty units. Main
body, Side Covers & Outer Covers are made out of graded ferrous casting using
electric ind uct io n furnace. Gears are made out of alloy steel duly hardened,
ground & nitrated . Rotors are machined on hydraulic copy profile for highest
accuracy which result in consistency & performance.
These heavy-duty units are designed for continuous service, with a spec ial
arrangement to prevent the rapid backflow of air in to the blower from the
discharge area. This design reduce noise, pulsation and horse power level over
conventional blowers.
The twin-lobe rotor profile ensures maximum volumetric URP Senes

These are positive displacement Twin Lobe Compressors( roots type blower) suita ble for a wide range of operating speeds to
meet the exact capacity requirements of the applications . They can be offered for pressure duty up to10,OOO mmwg and
vacuum duty up to 6,000 mmwg. Two stage machines can be offered for pressure up to 22,000 mmwg . These machines can be
used for compression or boosting of vacuum gases.
The working chamber consists of two Parallel cyl indrical bores containing two impellers each with two lobes which counter
rotate without touch ing with each other, or casing. Heavy duty gears ensure that a correct clearance is maintained between the
impellers . The working chamber requires no lubrication hence the medium handled dose not get contaminated w ith oil.

These machine are manufactured in our modern works at Vatva in Ahmedabad & tested as per BS 1571- Part II March 1975.

PRODUCT DESIGN

USHA Roots Type Rotary Blower are heavy-duty units designed

with integral profile. The head plates, gear cover, drive end cover
and rigid, one -piece casting of gray iron. Carburized and ground
alloy steel helical timing gear are mounted on the shafts, secured
with locknut. Cylindrical roller bearings are used.

These heavy-duty units are designed for continuous service, with

a special arrangement to prevent the rapid backflow of air in to
the blower from the discharge area. This design reduce noise,
pulsation and horsepower level over conventional blowers.

The twin-lobe impeller profile ensures maximum volumetric

efficiency with minimum power absorption.
All units come equipped with rugged steel mounting feet to
permit in field adaptability to either vertical or horizontal
installation requirements.
All Usha blowers units may operate under either vacuum or
pressure application with no equipments modification. All UR
series are available with special seals for gas applications.
Safety Valve
USHA make safety valves are specially designed to protect the
machine under adverse condition.

USHA Blower features large-diameter cylindrical roller bearings

with high load carrying capacity which increase the life of machine.
The bearings are procured from reputed international

Silencers

Silencer are made up special insulating resin bonded material

which prevents the leakage of insulating material in system. The
silencers are so designed to reduce the noise level to a
considerable acceptable industrial limit.
Gears

Gears are made up special type of material of alloy steel which

help to reduce the noise level and increase the life of machine.

Usha used special designed Flap type Non-return Valve to protect

the machine from back pressure.

Rotors (Impellers )

Usha uses spherical graded cast iron material conforming to IS

500/7 having better mechanical and chemical properties to
enhance the life of machine. The impeller profile ensures

6,000 mmwg. Two stage machines can be offered for pressure up to 22,000 mmwg. These ma ch ines ca n be us ed for compression or
boosting of vacuum gases.

The working chamber consists of two parallel cylindrical bores contain ing tw o im pe lle rs ea ch with two lob es wh ich counter rotate
without touching with each other, or casing. Heavy duty gears ensure th at a co rrect c le a ra nce is ma intai ned be t wee n th e impel lers.
The working chamber requires no lubrication hence the medium handled d ose not get contam inated with oil.

These machine are manufactured in our modern works at Vatva in Ahmedabad.

BASIC VACUUM PUMP DESCRIPTION
Usha Dry Exhauster has an exclusive discharge jet design which allows atomospheric air to a flow in to the casing. This unique
design permits continuous operation at high vacuum levels to blank offwith single stage unit, without water cooling /injection.

Standard Dry Exhauster is limited to 500Mbar vacuum because operation at higher vacuum level can cause extreme
discharge temperature resulting casing, impeller distortion and lubrication failure and seizing. The Usha DVP series cooling
design eliminate the problem causing by h igher temperature at vacuum level beyond 500Mbar.

Usha DVP series Exhausters are heavy units with forged steel shaft press fitted to FG -300 grade grey cast iron Impellers . The
casing, Casing Head Plate, oil covers (sump) are of higher grade grey cast iron. Case hardened and ground alloy steel helical
timing gears are mounted on the shaft with key and hub arrangement. Which is the most reliable locking arrangement.

Bearing are heavy duty antifriction bearing and are splash lubricated by gear/oil flinger at both ends. The drive end piston
ring shaft with oil preventive disc and lip -type oil seals are used to restrict oil leakage in to air stream.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION FEATURE

o Rigid cast iron casing and casing cover. o Large size oil sump for better lubrication & cooling.
o Heavy duty anti-frictional bearing. o Inlet & discharge connection in standard of pipe size.
o Splash lubricated helical timing gears. o Involutes profile high grade cast iron impellers.
OPERATIONAL PRINCI PAL
Shaded blue area indicates air pressure variation from intake to atmospheric
discharge.

Position 1. Incoming air is trapped between the impeller and the casing, generating
a vacuum in the application system simultaneously; air is discharged from the
exhauster. Position 1

Position 2. As the impeller passes the injection port, atmospheric air flow into the
space between the impeller & the casing. This cools the trapped air, aids impeller
movement, reduce shock and power loss.
Position 3. The trapped air is then moved to discharge flange (right), backflow is
reduced, resulting in lower discharge noise relative to conventional exhauster.
