SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

To the Teacher

This study will assist the not only the Teachers in Abuyog Academy to adopt6 different style in
using big book in teaching literature. This will help also the teacher to come up with several creative ideas
of ways to foster a fun and interactive learning environment in teaching Literature other that using
textbook in teaching the subject. Big Books are also produced for pedagogical reasons, and using them in
the classroom makes good teaching sense.

To the Students

Big book create shared reading experiences among students. It will also give an
opportunity to create a whole group reading time and use listening/speaking and phonemic awareness
skills. This also fosters interactive reading and writing experiences for all learners. An abundance of good
children's literature in their lives is vitally important for young children as they strive toward independent
reading.

To the School

This study will support the School to be more eager in seeking assistance to the government to
produce more instructional materials such as big book in all secondary schools to enhance productivity
reading and teaching literature.

To Future Researchers

This research will also serve as point of inquiry and reference for both students and members of
the public who wants to know or carry out related study on this area.
