OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

The study aims to assess the environmental impact of Medellin’s Funtastic Island

specifically on:

 Involvement of locals to the development of the Island

 informing the public about the proposal

 helps a developer to design a more publicly acceptable project

 Designing and specifying environmental monitoring and requirements, if

necessary, to ensure the implementation and the effectiveness of the

environmental protection and pollution control measures adopted.

The research was conducted in Gibitngil Medellin Cebu.

Respondents

The population interest os this study were the people living at Gibitngil Medellin, Cebu

who sees and affected by the impact brought the Funtastis Island.

There were 337 respondents who answered the questionnaire formulated by the

researchers. In which 40% were males and 60% were females. The answers gathered

supplies the information needed by the researchers.

Instruments

The main tool used in this study is survey questionnaire in which to aims to assess the

environmental impact of the Island.

Data Gathering Procedure

First, the researchers look for the total population (N) of the Island. And then computed

the sample (n) using the Slovin’s Formula.
