A. Introduction
1. Review: Showing the pictures telling what time of the day is it.
2. Drill: Reading of words shown in a power point presentation.
B. Motivation.
A. Greeting poems written on the board in English and Filipino. (way of
unlocking difficulties)
Ask questions.
1. Integrate the value of being polite.

C. Modelling

1. The teacher will say phrases using polite expressions in greeting a person
while showing on a paper clock what time of the day it will be used.
2. Show a short video clip.

Guided Practice (Individual Activity )


Each of the pupil will say a phrase using the polite expressions in greeting a person as to
the time of the day given by the teacher.

Group activity:
Each group will act different setting showing each time of the day while the other group
will tell the polite expressions to be used.

Evaluation: Listen to your teacher. What polite expressions will you use in each situation? Encircle the
letter of the correct answer.

1. On your way to your way to the classroom one morning, you saw your teacher, Ms. Pogoy.
What will you say to her?

2. You meet your friend Sherwin at 1:00 in the afternoon, what will you say to him?

4. When someone shake your hand and says Hi!, what will you reply?

5. How will you show that you are being polite to everybody?
a. when you greet them with polite expressions
b. by waking up in the morning and taking a bath.
