CHAPTER I
[INTRODUCTION OF THE STUDY]

Chapter 1. INTRODUCTION
Digital marketing encompasses all marketing efforts that use an electronic device or the
internet. Businesses leverage digital channels such as search engines, social media, email, and
other websites to connect with current and prospective customers.

Here are some types of digital marketing strategies,

 Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the art and science of driving targeted traffic to your
website from search engines.

 Content Marketing

Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing

valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly defined audience —
and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.

 Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing refers to the process of gaining traffic or attention through social
media sites.

 Pay Per Click (PPC)

PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee
each time one of their ads is clicked. Essentially, it’s a way of buying visits to your site,
rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically.

 Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or
company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a piece of
the profit for each sale that you make.

 Native Advertising

Native advertising is the use of paid ads that match the look, feel and function of the media
format in which they appear.

Native ads are often found in social media feeds, or as recommended content on a web page.
Unlike display ads or banner ads, native ads don't really look like ads. They look like part of
the editorial flow of the page. The key to native advertising is that it is non-disruptive - it
exposes the reader to advertising content without sticking out like a sore thumb

 Marketing Automation

Marketing automation is technology that manages marketing processes and multifunctional

campaigns, across multiple channels, automatically.

 Email Marketing etc.

Email marketing is the use of email to promote your business. It is used to cultivate
relationships with potential customers, keep current customers informed and updated on your
brand, offer coupons to encourage customer loyalty, and more...

2.5. Successful Projects of The Company

Marketing Analytics and Data Visualization Consulting projects that we have successfully
implemented for partner Enterprises.

1. POWER BI • MONAG International Inc. - (E-Commerce)

MONAG Apparel is a manufacturer and importer of children’s apparel & clothing. MONAG
specializes in premium quality blank apparel for children and adults. Monag provides a large
selection of premium quality apparel for new-born, infant, toddler, youth, ladies & men.

Due to it’s large catalog, the number of distribution centers, and complexity of an eCommerce
site, there were multiple challenges to establish the basic performance metrics to compare this
year’s performance to last year’s in these areas: sales, units, gross margin, and variance, as well
as new store analysis. Once we achieve the milestone, we fine-tuned the advanced metrics for
industry related performances.

Power BI

Power BI is a business analytics service that delivers insights to enable fast, informed decisions.

 Transform data into stunning visuals and share them with colleagues on any device.
 Visually explore and analyze data—on-premises and in the cloud—all in one view.
 Collaborate on and share customized dashboards and interactive reports.
 Scale across your organization with built-in governance and security.

Analyse with Power BI - Monag prioritizes premium quality always.

Figure: 2.3

Project Summary

Monag had become dependent on its Highering - (The Company) to extract insight from its
data. To gain agility, it required a more self-sufficient, BI environment.

“Wherever I go, the demand for data visualization is always greater than the supply,” says
director of collaboration at Monag.

“With it, we can empower customers with regular reporting to react quickly and appropriately.”

Without a dedicated IT professional on staff, Monag recognized that a technology partner could
help streamline its modernization process.

With the help of Highering, Monag connected Power BI to an on-premises SQL Server
Analysis Services cube with many rows of data refreshed in near-real time.

Figure: 2.4

The Strategy

With the automatically generated reports from Power BI, support staff can see when a customer
is having trouble with the product.

Using multiple tiles for each report the company generates through Power BI, employees can
see similar data represented numerous ways or different data sets in a single format.

For Monag, this has meant a clearer picture of the distributor and direct sales data.

Thanks to the automatic updating and reporting features of Power BI, these visually appealing
reports also contain more relevant data than those the company used in the past.

Proven Results

Monag analysts can compile, share, and convey meaning in half the time they once required.
“Being able to visualize actionable data, instead of looking at rows and rows of numbers, has
given us a much clearer idea of how we need to optimize,” says the CEO.

We can find gaps, see what markets each of our products are doing best in, and act on that data
before its gone stale.

2. QLIK • Creative Video Production Co. - (San Francisco)

Creative Video Production Co. uses Qlik Sense for Online Storytelling. Art and technology
work together to excite customers and make people act.

That’s where and how the story has begun. Highering AI’s Qlik COE (center of excellence)
team worked with the highly creative client team to not only familiarize them with self-service
capabilities of Qlik Sense.

But we also leveraged the Qlik Sense’s data storytelling features to enhance CVPC’s outreach.

Qlik

Qlik helps uncover insights that query-based BI tools simply miss. Our one-of-a-kind
Associative Engine brings together all your data so users can freely search and explore to find
new connections.

AI and cognitive capabilities offer insight suggestions, automation and conversational

interaction. This leads to bigger, bolder discoveries and rising data literacy.

…and a governed, multi-cloud platform offers full deployment choice – including SaaS – and
supports a complete range of BI use cases.

Data Visualization with Qlik - Creative Video Production Co. emphasizes on excellence.

Figure: 2.5

Project summary

In line with the new strategy, Creative Video Production Co. wanted to analyze business
information more efficiently.

It was a challenge to compile reports manually quickly enough. Meetings dragged on while
waiting for information, and the information received was different from that was agreed on.
Other problems included slow reporting and software, which resulted in waiting for analyses.

The Strategy

Distribution of reports was another problem. Qlik easy-to-use web interface solved this
problem. Another advantage of the web-based interface is that no separate installations are
required for individual computers anymore.

Qlik applications monitor sales and profitability to chart customer potential and carry out cost
center reporting. The next aim is to expand the use of the software to the acquisition, quality
operations, and environmental reporting. Speed was the key criterion for selecting Qlik.

Proven Results

Figure: 2.6

Qlik has helped Creative Video Production Co. gain access to information that previously
remained in the dark, and to obtain completely new information on potential clients, for
instance. ‘The reports have brought significant improvements to the processing of data on
potential customers, as well as response rates,’ says a delighted CEO.

According to various high-level executives, the company’s productivity has improved, and
analyses indicate that the company has succeeded in eliminating products with low-profit
margins from its range.

Creative Video Production Co. has been able to focus its efforts on the correct targets and
screen out areas where sales have been unprofitable.

3. TABLEAU • Digitalyx USA - (Marketing Analytics)

Digitalyx uses Tableau for measuring, managing and analyzing marketing performance to
maximize return on investment (ROI).

One of the basic questions B2B content marketers ask is how effective is my content in relation
to my business goals.

The answers help in determining what to promote and which topics to write about next. In the
case, we provided a bubble chart which places the posts on the grid and describes 3 parameters
for each post: traffic, conversion score (how many times it participated in the customer journey)
and a number of conversions.

Digitalyx uses Tableau

In Tableau, a story is a sequence of visualizations that work together to convey information.

You can create stories to tell a data narrative, provide context, demonstrate how decisions relate
to outcomes, or to simply make a compelling case.

A story is a sheet, so the methods you use to create, name, and manage worksheets and
dashboards also apply to stories.

At the same time, a story is also a collection of sheets, arranged in a sequence. Each individual
sheet in a story is called a story point.

When you share a story — for example, by publishing a workbook to Tableau Public, Tableau
Server, or Tableau Online — users can interact with the story to reveal new findings or ask
new questions of the data.

The age of Analytics - Digitalyx believes that most things in marketing analytics should be
easy.

Figure: 2.7

Project summary

Our client Digitalyx USA aimed at seamlessly integrating Tableau with the entire Google
Cloud Platform to ensure maximum efficiency for all of its marketing analytics needs –
customizable dashboards, granular views of data, insights sharing, digital asset management
(DAM), multi-touch attribution dashboard, marketing campaign ROI, impact on sales revenue,
and data-driven marketing decisions.

The Strategy

You might think that Google is omniscient, but even the most powerful rulers need a little help
sometimes. While your website will inevitably be found at some point by the Google bots
constantly crawling the web’s content, you can take a few actions to speed up this process.

Starting with a site audit and recommendations, we reviewed the site for technical issues and
set up a plan to address them, especially on page SEO.

 Submit the site to Google, Bing, and Yahoo

 Laid a link trail
 Chose the perfect keywords
 Managed the meta tags
 Optimized for mobile
 Proved that the business is SF local

Proven Results

Client’s initial SEO restructure resulted in performance that exceeded initial projections, and
these improvements have continued throughout the year.

The brand awareness messaging funnel resulted in streamlined searches, customer education,
and additional sales. Through a strategic optimization process, the client has driven stronger
brand awareness and grown it’s average organic revenue per month, resulting in a robust YTD
revenue increase.

[LITERATURE REVIEW]

Chapter 3. LITERATURE REVIEW

3.1. Introduction

A number of research papers and articles provide a detailed insight on Internet Marketing. The
findings from the literature are presented below:

Digital marketing has been described simply as ‘achieving marketing objectives through
applying digital technologies’. Digital marketing is the use of technologies to help marketing
activities in order to improve customer knowledge by matching their needs.

In the developed world, companies have realized the importance of digital marketing. In order
for businesses to be successful they will have to merge online with traditional methods for
meeting the needs of customers more precisely.

Introduction of new technologies has creating new business opportunities for marketers to
manage their websites and achieve their business objectives. Online advertising is a powerful
marketing vehicle for building brands and increasing traffic for companies to achieve success.
Expectations in terms of producing results and measuring success for advertisement money
spent, digital marketing is more cost-efficient for measuring ROI on advertisement.

Today, monotonous advertising and marketing techniques have given way to digital marketing.
In addition, it is so powerful that it can help revive the economy and can create tremendous
opportunities for governments to function in a more efficient manner. Firms in Singapore have
tested the success of digital marketing tools as being effective and useful for achieving results.
More importantly, growth in digital marketing has been due to the rapid advances in
technologies and changing market dynamics.

In order for digital marketing to deliver result for businesses, digital content such as
accessibility, navigation and speed are defined as the key characteristics for marketing. Other
tried and tested tool for achieving success through digital marketing is the use of word-of-
mouth WOM on social media and for making the site popular. In addition, WOM is linked
with creating new members and increasing traffic on the website which in return increases the
visibility in terms of marketing.

3.2. Defining Digital Marketing

"Digital marketing encompasses all marketing efforts that use an electronic device or the
internet. Businesses leverage digital channels such as search engines, social media, email, and
other websites to connect with current and prospective customers."

3.3. Important tools of digital marketing

 Blogs/Website
as a tool for digital marketing have successfully created an impact for increasing sales
revenue, especially for products where customers can read reviews and write comments
about personal experiences. For businesses, online reviews have worked really well as
part of their overall strategic marketing strategy. Online services tools are more
influencing than traditional methods of communication. As part of study, it is proven
that users experience increases in self-esteem and enjoyment when they adapt to social
media which itself is a motivating sign for businesses and marketing professional. Web
experiences affect the mental process of consumers and enhance their buying decision
online. The Internet is the most powerful tool for businesses. Marketing managers who
fail to utilize the importance of the Internet in their business marketing strategy will be
at disadvantage because the Internet is changing the brand, pricing, distribution and
promotion strategy.

 Social media
with an extra ordinary example Facebook has opened the door for businesses to
communicate with millions of people about products and services and has opened new
marketing opportunities in the market. This is possible only if the managers are fully
aware of using the communication strategies to engage the customers and enhancing
their experience.

- “There is no scope for Hindi content creator”.

4.4. Limitations of the Study

This study has potential limitations. The effect estimates in the model are based on
interventional and prospective observational studies.

They are therefore subject to biases and confounding that may have influenced our model
estimates. However, the etiological effects of dietary changes were estimated from meta-
analyses with confirmatory validity analyses.

This study has potential limitations. The effect estimates in the model are based on
interventional and prospective observational studies.

They are therefore subject to biases and confounding that may have influenced our model
estimates.

This project research was based on small quantitative research methods. The project conducted
in this research did not, for the most part, yield statistically significant results. Rather, the
project led the team to an accurate data of diverse real and obtained from which to draw
conclusions. The results are limited by the small sample size, it means reality can be different
from my research result.

CHAPTER VI
[FINDINGS]

Chapter 6. FINDINGS
During this internship, I have done lots of experiments for my organization and for me too.
This helped me a lot to learn new things in digital marketing.

Here is the following knowledge which I have experienced and learnt,

6.1. Digital Marketing Fundamental

Before this internship I have never experienced the digital marketing stuff. Now, I have
known the fundamental of digital marketing. Like,

 Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

 Content Marketing
 Social Media Marketing
 Affiliate Marketing
 Marketing Automation
 Email Marketing

We know the digital marketers are in charge of driving brand awareness and lead
generation through all the digital channels - (both free and paid) - that are at a company's
disposal. These channels include social media, the company's own website, search
engine rankings, email, display advertising, and the company's blog.

6.2. Blogging Experience

When I started blogging, I wanted the best for myself in terms of everything, yet it must
be affordable as am operating on low budget. I brought a host from a company and
installed my WordPress.

Theme was another factor to consider. I know little about coding but I want a theme
that can complement my effort in terms of blog look, must be SEO ready and must be
light enough to load fast so I went for Astra theme from Brainstorm Force and
specifically installed the theme because I need to build subscribers into my list.

Now, I know these following things are most important and considerable point to
survive in the blogging field,

6.2.1. Success Does not Come Overnight

Ever before I knew what blogging was, I was a very fast person and I believe everything
I do must be fast. In my family I was the one who had the fastest education, I get results
fast in everything I do so I thought this must also apply online and I should start making
money blogging from my first week, how I was wrong.

6.2.2. Reputation Matters

Even if it is small, having a reputation for yourself is really very important to your
blogging success.

6.2.3. Content is King

You surely will have been told otherwise. It doesn’t matter how many thousands of
visitors social bookmarking sites sent you because of the casual article you wrote, it
doesn’t matter how many visitors one guest post sent you which made you think
marketing is king, I am talking from personal experience, content is king!

6.2.4. SEO Matters

I get almost 2,000 visitors from search engines every month, won’t it be foolish to come
and tell you this method is useless? Minus 2,000 visitors from my monthly traffic and
you will know a large portion of it is gone.

Here are some basic SEO tips you should implement on your blog to get more traffic
(even than I am getting) from the search engines:
 On page SEO
 Keyword Density
 Linking Structure

6.2.5. Marketing is Important
I am always happy because God made me realize this earlier. It was very early in my
blogging career that I discovered the power of guest posting, I was amazed at how I
started getting traffic from little efforts of guest posting. like,
 SEO
 Blog Commenting
 Forum Marketing
 Blogging Communities
 Guest Blogging

6.3. Content Marketing Basics

During this period, I have also known what are most important things to do or focus
while marketing contents through blogging or video making,

These are the following things should know by every marketer,

 Useful content should be at the core of your marketing
 Content marketing is good for your bottom line — and your customers -
(Increased sales, Cost savings, Better customers who have more loyalty)
 Content is the present and future of marketing
 Marketing is impossible without great content
 Content marketing is used by leading brands - (including P&G, Microsoft,
Cisco Systems, and John Deere.)

6.4. Power of Working Consistently

Dwayne Johnson says – “Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency.
Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.”

Consistency is a fantastic trait and one that you should definitely work to cultivate.
Remember, however, that it's a trait that can take time to practice. You won't be
perfectly consistent right away. That's okay! Be kind to yourself when you screw up
were all human and no one is perfect.

Being consistent means that you don't say one thing while actually doing something
else. You can't be inconsistent in your behaviour and expect yourself to behave
consistently in other parts of your life.

Consistency is very helpful and one of the most important part of our life to,
 Build our willpower
 Let's be Realistic
 Make sure our actions match your words.
 Eliminate negative thinking
 Increase our motivation

6.5. Search Engine Optimization

SEO is the magic you have to work on your article in order to make Google very likely
to include your post as one of the top results whenever someone searches for that
keyword.

The main thing which I know during this internship,

A site isn't really a site until we have content. But SEO for content has enough specific
variables that we've given it its own section. Start here if you're curious about keyword
research, how to write SEO-friendly copy, and the kind of markup that helps search
engines understand just what your content is really about.

6.6. Understand Google Analytics

I was never imagined that Google Analytics is very essential tool for our blog or
website. Finally, I have known the fundamentals of Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is a free web analytics tool offered by Google to help you analyse
your website traffic.

Even though “web analytics” sounds like a very small area of our digital presence, the
implications of Google Analytics are in fact huge.
This is because for most companies, our website serves as a hub for all of your digital
traffic. If we are running any marketing activities such as search ads or social media
ads, our users are most likely going to visit your website somewhere along their user
journey.

6.7. WordPress Knowledge

These are various CMS (Content Management System) on the internet to build our
desire blog/website. But WordPress is the most popular CMS provider on the internet.

WordPress is the world’s most popular tool for creating websites. WordPress is capable
of creating any style of website, from a simple blog to a full-featured business website.

WordPress is open source software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. It
just may be the easiest and most flexible blogging and website content management
system (CMS) for beginners.

Why WordPress is the most popular CMS on the internet? - Here are some key points,
 WordPress is Free as in Freedom
 WordPress is Easy to Customize with Themes and Plugins
 WordPress is SEO Friendly
 WordPress is Easy to Manage
 WordPress is Safe and Secure
 WordPress Can Handle Different Media Types

6.8. Acquired Practical Exposure

Before this internship, I have only theoretical knowledge. As we know, we cannot
become a master without practicing.

I started to do all my theoretical knowledge into practical, and this is very helpful for
me and my future career. It makes me more responsible and knowledgeable person than
ever. I can do that all technical skill with more efficiency.

6.9. Stress/Work Load Management

As we know, Stress management is a wide spectrum of techniques and psychotherapies
aimed at controlling a person's level of stress, especially chronic stress, usually for the
purpose of and for the motive of improving everyday functioning.

On the other hand, workload management is the process of strategically distributing

work throughout the workforce in order to maximize employee or application skill and
performance.

Stress occurs when you perceive that demands placed on me — such as work, school
or relationships — exceed my ability to cope. Some stress can be beneficial at times,
producing a boost that provides the drive and energy to help people get through
situations like exams or work deadlines.

In this context, the term 'stress' refers only to a stress with significant negative
consequences, or distress in the terminology advocated by Hans Selye, rather than what
he calls eustress, a stress whose consequences are helpful or otherwise.

Here are some useful techniques to avoid stress which I have used during work,
 Take a break from the stressor
 Smile and laugh
 Getting social support
 Meditate
 Exercise
 Making my time for fun and relaxation
 Maintaining balance with a healthy lifestyle etc.

6.10. Keyword Research Strategy
Keyword research is the process of discovering words and phrases that people use in
search engines with the ultimate goal of optimizing content around those terms.

In other words, Keyword research is the process of finding and analyzing actual search
terms that people enter into search engines. The insight you can get into these actual
search terms can help inform content strategy, as well as your larger marketing strategy.

These are the following keyword research tools which I use personally,
 Keywords Everywhere
 Google Trends
 Answer the Public
 Google Ads Keyword Planner
 Google Search Console
 Google

6.11. Better Knowledge of Time Management

“Time management” is the process of organizing and planning how to divide your time
between specific activities.

A good time management enables me to work smarter – not harder – so that you get
more done in less time, even when time is tight and pressures are high. Failing to
manage your time damages your effectiveness and causes stress.

In other words, “Time management” refers to the way that you organize and plan how
long you spend on specific activities.

It seems that there is never enough time in the day. But, since we all get the same 24
hours, why is it that some people achieve so much more with their time than others?
The answer lies in good time management.

These are the following ways which I learnt to manage my time,

 Completing my most important tasks first.
 Sleeping at least 6-7 hours.
 Devoting my entire focus to the task at hand.
 Turn my key tasks into habits.
 Be conscientious of amount of TV/Internet/gaming time.
 Delineating a time limit in which to complete task.
 Don’t thinking of the totality of your to-do list.

6.12. Understand Social Media Marketing & Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s
(or company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a
piece of the profit for each sale that you make.

Affiliate marketing is one of the oldest forms of digital marketing wherein you refer
someone to any online product and when that person buys the product based on your
recommendation, you receive a commission. It is an online sales tactic that lets a
product owner increase sale by allowing others targeting the same audience —
“affiliates” — to earn a commission by recommending the product to others. At the
same time, it makes it possible for affiliates to earn money on product sales without
creating products of their own.

On the other hand, Social media marketing is the process of gaining website traffic or
attention through social media sites.

According to Neil Patel, "Social media marketing is the process of creating content that
you have tailored to the context of each individual social media platform in order to
drive user engagement and sharing."

In other words, Social media marketing is the use of social media platforms to connect
with your audience to build your brand, increase sales, and drive website traffic. This
involves publishing great content on your social media profiles, listening to and
engaging your followers, analysing your results, and running social media
advertisements.

The major social media platforms (at the moment) are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat, or we can run our campaign on these
social media platforms,
 Facebook
 Instagram
 YouTube
 LinkedIn
 Reddit
 Pinterest
 Tumblr
 Medium
 Quora
 Periscope

6.13. Website Creation & Structure

A website’s structure refers to how the website is set up, i.e. how the individual
subpages are linked to one another. It is particularly important that crawlers can find all
subpages quickly and easily when websites have a large number of subpages.

For this reason, a website’s homepage needs to have links to the most important
subpages. Files such as sitemap.xml and robots.txt also help the crawler do its job in
this regard.

Basically, it’s how your website sites are connected. How your main pages lead to
deeper pages on your website. You can see it as how your navigation and sitemap are
built.

Some important things which I personally consider while designing a website or blog
for great user experience.

These are the following most considerable, beneficial and important things,
 Improves Your Websites User Experience

 A Good Structure Makes Your Website Easier to Crawl
 Having a Good Site Structure Enhances Your SEO
 Planning Your Website Structure Will Help You Set Goals and Expected
Results

CHAPTER VII
[CONCLUSION]

Chapter 7. THE CONCLUSION
The research and practice of digital marketing is improving with the advancement of
technology. The advancement in technology fosters multifaceted opportunities and at the same
time poses unprecedented challenges for the marketers. Marketers make use of Digital Portfolio
as a platform to promote a professional brand by defining the product in a manner that adds
credibility. Research highlights that B2B buyers dislike cold emails and calls, hence, Digital
marketing allows enough provisions for finding the right people through its streamlined search
engine and connections.

In the present era, buyers expect knowledge that offers potential solution to their product
related problems. The strong visibility of the organization or the brand through digital
marketing allows the consumers to develop perceived knowledge about the brand. By the
spread of word of mouth and getting recommendations from their connections assist the users
in making active decisions about purchasing.

So, digital marketing is about utilizing digital technology to achieve marketing objectives.
There is no essential need for digital marketing to always be separate from the marketing
department as a whole, as the objectives of both are the same. However, for now, it remains a
useful term because digital marketing requires a certain skill set to utilize the digital technology
effectively.

CHAPTER VIII
[RECOMMENDATION]

Chapter 8. RECOMMENDATION
There are some important things which I noticed while working with their organization. I
recommend these all essential missed key point to the company.

The company can gain more growth of their business if they noticed some missing things or
point. These all recommended things will be very helpful for the organization.

These things may be,

8.1. Talk to your clients like, as your friend

I know so many promising entrepreneurs who did a ton of hard work and played by the book,
but who didn’t make it in the long-run because they didn’t recognize the importance of this one
tip.

Your business exists because of your clients. Pay attention to them. Add this as a reminder to
the top of your daily to-do list.

Follow this advanced move to quickly get their attention. Drop your industry lingo and talk
their talk. For example, many of my clients don’t like selling. Instead of saying they don’t like
selling, they tell me that they don’t like to be salesy. Using their phrases instead of your industry
terms helps potential clients engage with your brand and products.

8.2. Leverage your expertise more and more

Improve your expertise. This is one of the best ways to increase your income. Unfortunately,
so many entrepreneurs forget about this business growth option.

Yes, entrepreneurs who are passionate about their work run the risk of giving away too much
for free. This is a red flag that you’re under-pricing your services, undervaluing your time and
struggling with low business confidence. You’re basically telling yourself and your clients that
your service is not worth being paid for.

While having freebies and sharing your knowledge with potential clients is a fantastic way for
them to learn how you can help them, you’ll want to set some limits.

Scaling allows you to offer your services to more than one person at a time. Start to ask yourself
how you can do more of what you do best. Consider how your services can become more
profitable. Explore where you can free your time by outsourcing some of your current work
responsibilities that don’t necessarily need to be done by you.

8.3. Give people what they want

Certain professions must follow the trends. But that doesn’t apply to all professions. Instead of
following trends, consider what best serves your ideal client. It’s okay to be contrary to what’s
currently popular.

To offer services your clients want (and thus making sure they come back to you and tell others
about you), talk with your clients about their current needs. Create a buyer persona, which I
call an avatar.

You’ll want to dedicate some time and resources. Market research, tracking behavior and
surveys are common resources. They’re designed to identify the needs and wants of your ideal
client.

8.4. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel.

Growth minded entrepreneurs possess a strong vision about their business success. Maybe you
want to influence your industry standards or elevate the client experience. Well, how do you
achieve that result?

Raising the bar and challenging current standard involves risk. That’s because you can rarely
guarantee how your new approach will be received, or how long it will stay on top. So, one
popular strategy has you offer something that’s already accepted. Then improve it so it’s better.

8.5. Define your brand.

Are you already making enough money to live an enjoyable lifestyle? Everything’s working
fine and you don’t feel like growing. New leads consistently come in through different sales
funnels. That’s evidence that what you are doing is working.

Got it. As a business coach, I encourage you to consider the big picture and your branding. A
well branded business strategically helps you to rise above others in a crowded niche.

Change is constant. Maybe you’re doing well now. Do you possess a solid plan to ensure you’ll
remain busy in a year from now? A solid brand keeps you, and your business, top of mind.

Your brand aligns with your core values. This influences your messaging and virtual presence.
Review your site so every page consistently reflects your brand. Tell your story and be
authentic.
