Can we trust in the prophets?

Do you know we are living now in an age where everything that you believe in is
going to be challenged everything, it is important that our minds be stimulated and
challenged and the book of Daniel is the most targeted book in the bible, historians
say there is no way how one man Chronologically tell from 7th century BC to this
very day they are saying it’s impossible and since the book of Daniel has been
written it has been targeted and challenged and brutalized have you ever read the
post from Wikipedia I will share it, we will see that the book of Daniel is a reliable
book.

And when we study it’s to be the Bible and the Bible alone no one’s opinions just
the word. When many of God’s people are challenged on the word they let things
be swept under the rug because they are not equip. The book of Daniel many
people do not read it, Daniel and those that do does not read it correctly and will
argue with other’s not knowing its studied wrongly there are many people love to
argue over the scriptures

Turn to the book of 2 chronicles Chapter 20:20 (Paste)

2 Chronicles Chapter 20:20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into
the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear
me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so
shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Prayer

Thank you Lord for still having mercy upon your people, Lord it is not by chance
we are all in this room today there are people that is struggling and really searching
and that you would fulfill that need no matter how messed up we are and is
struggling in our journey you are still calling us to come back home lord I just
want to thank you for having mercy upon us I pray that you become the center of
this study.

We should be able to go out in the community and clearly sift and break down the
book of Daniel it’s good for us to clearly understand the book of Daniel to do these
studies comfortably and boldly so that we can declare our message.
There are many people saying that Daniel is not a prophet because it’s a big
difference between the Hebrew Bible from our King James Bible Daniel is not
chronicle among the prophets, so that is why they say he’s not a Prophet, let’s
identify what a Prophet is therefore the historicists say he can’t be a prophet
because he is not chronicle among the Prophets let’s go to the book of Matt 24:15
now the disciples are having a conversation with Christ, about his return upon this
earth and they wanted to know about his return he told them it is one book that you
need to study

(Paste)

Matt 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of
by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

The argument is definitely over Jesus himself gave it in one verse, that argument is
destroyed a lot of people do not want to go into the Bible they just want to hear
what the preachers say without going into the Bible and see for themselves. In your
own time go to Acts 17 it’s a group of individuals called the berians The Berians
didn’t take what Paul said for face value anything Paul said they went back and
studied, it is your duty after you’ve heard sermons go back to your homes and it
study it again

Because many people believe whatever someone tells them and you have to get to
a stage into your Christian walk you cannot rely on anybody but God and his word.
People in the church is too easy to be misled you have to say the sermon was good
my brother but I have to go home and study it again my brother. Every one of has
to get to that stage Number 12:6 (Paste) what is an identifying mark of a Prophet

Number 12:6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I
the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him
in a dream.

So what marks a Prophet that God speaks to them in visions and through dreams,
but if anyone come to you with a vision and a dream and they came from God
make sure you go through the Biblical principle to the law and the testimony and
align with God’s word then you will have to rebuke him in this day and age the
devil is giving people dreams So make sure its according to the word. Let’s go to
Daniel (7:1 Paste) This evening we are just laying down a foundation (Paste)

Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and
visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the
matters.

We just read in Numbers one identifying marks of Prophets Visions and dreams we
just read also in Dan 7:1 Daniel had visions and dreams, not only ordain Daniel a
Prophets Dan 7 and 1 verifies he was a Prophet what else does a Prophet do let’s
go to 2 Chronicles 24:19 (Paste)

Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and
visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the
matters.

So a real Prophet is to bring people back to the Lord I have a few more text
Number 24:4 (Paste)

Numbers 24:4 He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision
of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

So when Prophets go into a vision they fall into a trance and their eyes open. in this
study I want to teach you how to defend the book of Daniel putting in all the
arguments against it and putting in the evidence that support it, it is very important
in this day and age we defend everything we believe. Many people aren’t aware
that many Churches all over the world have been keeping the Sabbath it’s one of
the best kept secrets. There are many that try and come against the Catholics and I
mean in a very aggressive way, this a quote from the Vatican and the Vatican said
you Christians out there you all claim you believe in the authority of the Bible, and
every time you keep Sunday you are recognizing our authority over you. Not only
when we are challenged we are to Challenge as well, it’s important that we
challenge people.

In this Study I’m going to bring up some Challenges in the book of Daniel and
how you can handle it
Wikipedia says Most Scholars see the book of Daniel as a cryptic allusion to the
reign of the Greek king

Antiochus IV Epiphanes 175-164 BCE and the Broad consensus is that Daniel
never existed. Traditionally ascribed to Daniel himself, modern scholarly
consensus the book pseudonymous, the stories of the first half legendary in origin,
and the visions of the second the product of anonymous authors in the Maccabean
period (2nd century BC it’s message is that just as the God of Israel saved Daniel
and his friends from their enemies, so he would save all of Israel in their present
oppression. So they are saying the book was written 2nd century BC

National Geographic Magzine July-December, 1960 volume 118 During the last
three centuries of the pre-Christian Era Hebrews in Palestine circulated heroic
stories about the forefathers exiled in Babylon. Lacking Tangible evidence,
archaeology cannot substantiate the narratives. (in other words they are saying
there is no evidence that the children of Israel was in Babylon)Best known hero
of these Old Testament classics was Daniel, a young captain whom the
Babylonians called Belteshazzar. when king Nebuchadnezzar dreamed a dream and
demanded that his magicians and astrologers describe and interpret it only Daniel
could evoke the great image and make know to the king what shall come to pass

So National Geographic was one of the most famous secular publications in 1960
says there is no evidence that these people was in Babylon over the years since
2003 the united states of America coalitions of armies invaded Iraq ancient
Babylon is southern Iraq many artifax were stolen and loads were unearth the war
in Iraq was extremely horrible it has created domestic violence the whole place is
in ruins even though madness took place some good can come out of it they
discovered that Neberchadnazzs palace really did exist

and it was something else they discovered since the invasion of Iraq they found
tablets these tablets is written in cruciform and interestingly they have Hebrew
names on many of them and the tablets are dated 7th Century BC So what did the
magazine say there was no evidence that Hebrews lived in Babylon but these
tablets seem to have Hebrew names. Reuters Magazine one of the best out there it
says Ancient tablets reveal life of Jews in Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon and on
Boston.com says Ancient Tablets Reveal Life of Jews in Nebuchadnezzar’s
Babylon this is two or three witnesses the Huffington Post in 2015 Says 2,500 year
old Jewish Tablets Discovered in Iraq and the article goes on to say this discovery
is a remarkable confirmation of the historical reliability of the Biblical text it is
also a reminder that many people once lived in Iraq So the very book that we read
is reliable

They even said they destroyed tablets in a town called aluahoda a village by the
river keybar mentioned in eze 1:1 so our very bible is consistence they have
Nebuchadnezzar’s tablets in the British museum today and they are also online
where he himself wrote these tablets giving his account of the invasion of
Jerusalem. Reading the Bible is one thing but when you see this evidence it will
move you and restore much faith in our hearts because we know it’s real can you
rely on Prophets? (Paste)

Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and
visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dreams, and told the sum of the
matters.

So Daniel told who was the exact Monarch when he wrote this prophecy what is
very interesting that in the 19 Century arcuologisit or critics we might as well say
look there is no evidence of that Belshazzar ever existed (Paste)

Daniel 5:1, 18 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords,
and drank wine before the thousand. O thou king, the most high God gave
Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom and majesty, and glory, and honour.

They have a tablet with Belshazzar’s name on it and they say Belshazzar is not
Nebs son but you see here the Bible says he was his son. And The archeologists
alright, alright Daniel is right after the tablets were found then they said but he’s
the son of abebunius not Nebuchadnezzar and they said now your Bible is false,
but something else happened Sir Austin Henry layard he was the man who
excavated ancient Babylon in the 19th century he was a son of a French Huggnot
and he said The term “son of” appears to have been used throughout the East in
those days, as it still is, to denote connection generally, either by descent or
succession the book is called Discoveries in the Ruins of Nineveh and Babylon by
Austen Henry Layard, P 613 so he verified that the book of Daniel is accurate they
also excavated the tablet of Cyrus in the Bible it’s not only recorded in the book of
Daniel but also prophesied 200 years in the book of Isaiah that he would lay down
the foundation and is Ezra chapter 1 that prophecy was fulfilled the Bible is not
only Historically accurate but also Prophetically accurate. (Paste now to show)

And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus. Daniel 1:1 (Isaiah
44:28: 45:1-11 II Chronicles 36:22-23 Daniel 6: 28 Daniel 10:1 Ezra 1:1 Ezra 6:14

The type of men that Daniel was head of they offered sacrifices to the moon god
and offered things to the sun god and Daniel was head of the Priesthood after many
of the excavations they found the astrologers and Nebuchadnezzar cabinet actually
existed. (Paste)

The language of the book of Daniel, interspersed as it is in various places with

Greek words, proves without doubt that the definitive translation as we possess it,
is posterior to the time of Alexander. But the foundation of the work dates much
further back; it is tinged with a very decided Babylonian tint, and certain features
of the life of the court of Nebuchadnezzar and his successors are there pictured
with a truth and exactitude, to which a writer a few centuries earlier could hardly
have attained. –Chaldean Magic by Francois Lenormant P. 14

This historian says that the book of Daniel had to be written in 7th century bc in the
ancient occult world the people used to practice divination through the liver in
some parts of Africa to this day does this practice certain tribes would kill an
animal open it up the liver and try to tell the future. (Paste)

Ezekiel 21:21 For the king of Babylon stood a the parting of the way, and the head
of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with
images, he looked in the liver. (Paste)

Ezekiel 14:14 Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it they
should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the lord.

Ezekiel 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than DANIEL; there is no secret that they can
hide from thee.

Ezekiel actually documented that the Babylon truly indeed practiced divination by
looking in the liver. So these prophets were eye witness account of what they saw
in Babylon can you rely on Prophets? Now the Prophet Ezekiel not only mentioned
Daniel once but three times

Now in the book of (Paste)

Daniel 1:1-3 In the third year of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar of
Babylon, and besieged it, and the king spake unto Ashakenazi the master of the
eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and the king’s seed
of the princes Jeremiah tells of the invasion (Paste)

Jeremiah 24:1 THE LORD show me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set
before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had
carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes
of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to
Babylon.

So we see in both text it names the king of Babylon and the princes and we see
they are named twice so we can get a picture that Daniel was a member of the
nobility. In Jeremiah 39:3

Jeremiah 39:3 And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the
middle gate, even Nergal-sharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarseehin, Rab-saris, nergal-
sharezer, Rab-mag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon

It mentions the kings elite remember Daniel and Jeremiah were writing at the same
exact time you can go online and look up the British Museum Collection British
Museum.org it says that Jeremiah was present at the historic scene at 587 BC can
we rely on our prophets brother’s and sister’s?

The London Daily Telegraph is the most renown paper in Britain in 2007 Tiny
tablet provides proof for the Old Testament it’s says this is a fantastic discovery a
world-class find Dr. Finkel said yesterday if Nebo-Sarsekim existed, with other
lesser figures in the old Testament existed? A throwaway detail in the Old
Testament turns out to be accurate and true I think that it means that the whole of
the narrative of Jeremiah takes on a new kind of power.
This is the world Brother’s and Sister’s they are saying which people for years
were saying it was unreliable and inaccurate is now saying it has to be reliable
Jeremiah 46:1-2 (Paste)

Jeremiah 46:1-2 THE word of the LORD which came to the prophet Jeremiah the
prophet against the Gentiles; Against Egypt, against the army of Pharaoh-Necho
King of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of
Josiah king of Judah.

So three different kingdoms are mentioned Judah, Egypt, and Babylon can we rely
on Prophets we see from all reliable sources our bible is accurate. This is the fourth
year of Jehoiakim in 604 BC. Now when they started deciphering the hyroglifics in
the 26 dynasty they found Pharo-Necho he is not only mentioned in the book of
Jeremiah also in the book of II Kings 23:29, 33, 34, 35 II Chronicles 35:20-22
Jeremiah 46:2 so we can see the very Bible we are reading we can rely on it
wholeheartedly.

This shows that all these prophets arrived at the same time and they can all be rely
upon so everything is working in sync throughout Jeremiah’s ministry he was
getting beaten up, slapped in his face he was jailed he was thrown into prison it got
to a stage where they were going to leave him for dead in Jeremiah Chapter 23
Jeremiah he wanted to give up being a Prophet he talked with God and said I’ve
been beaten up they’ve cursed me out they made me look like a fool and further
down in the chapter he says I have to continue the work. When you are out on your
own and the pressure is on and your all alone you start to question yourself.

You know what the most dangerous people you can meet in your Christian walk,
your own church people it’s not your outsiders. People will ask are you worried
about the Vatican or the government No I’m worried about the people in my own
church because they are the most dangerous because when God’s people want to
targeted you and destroy you they will do everything in their power to see that you
are destroyed. Because when you are on your own there is no one to support you
and I have myself experienced this. (Paste)
Jeremiah 36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote
from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto
him, upon a roll of a book

Jeremiah was under intensive pressure A number of years ago Jeremiah also had
someone who would write for him while he was in prison and they found Baruch
clay tablet and it is the Jerusalem Museum and it shows that the book of Jeremiah,
the book of Daniel, and the book of Ezekiel can be relied upon

So brother and sister’s can you rely on the Prophets because our people are being
beaten up to and fro and they have begin to question the word of God we all have
to get to a stage where we have to go back and study the books for ourselves we
have to be able to stand firm on the rock which is Christ Jesus.

as much as you love your preacher or your speakers everything that is presented to
you, you have to go back and research it there is going to come a time where each
and every one of us we will have to depend on God totally just laying a ground
work because you have to have a foundations during studies go to Luke chapter 6
when you read this text and meditate on it no matter how intellectual someone is or
what temptation satan has when you follow this principle nobody will be able to
challenge you no one. (Paste)

Luke 6:47-48 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I
will shew you to whom he is like:

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on
a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and
could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

When your foundation is so solid in Christ nothing can shake you they can come
with false doctrines atheist ideas when you are so rooted in Christ nothing will be
able to move you so anything anybody tells you go back and research it for
yourselves (Paste)

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
So the Bible gives us clear instruction Study to show yourself approved unto God
the more you read the more you expand your thinking when you plant this thinking
people will take heed we as God’s people should be able to give studies like this
for themselves because we rely upon man too much we have to get to a stage
where children can give a study in the book of Daniel
